It was quite busy when we visited, but the groups moved along quickly, so there was very little waiting. The course was impeccably maintained and featured several fun, unique elements that we hadn't seen before--including a spinning wheel obstacle (see photos). Those creative touches made the experience even more enjoyable. We had a fantastic time and would definitely come back!

There is a little pond next to it that some people were fishing from. Across the drive is a very nice area that has picnic tables and grills. The dog pond dog playground is close by. There is a building that looks to rent bicycles, Segway, and kayaks as well. You can then walk the wooden bridge over the highway to the beach. This is a perfect little spot for a family to have picnic or playtime for a spell.

Large oak trees are around the parking so there is some shade. Flat sandy bottom of lagoon by the launch area so you can easily board your kayak. Opens at sunrise and closes at sunset.

The directions are wrong, it will take you to the rear of the park on Union Ave, to a dead end street where locals dump stuff. Once you reach Union Street, go one more block to Banks Street, it will take you to Ruby and Banks Street, where there is a parking lot between the Senior Center & the Community Center, that is the actual correct address, and the front entrance to the park. There are restrooms between the football and baseball field, but they were locked when I went super early in the morning. Nobody was there when I went because the sky was incredibly overcast, weather man said we were expecting severe thunder storms, hence the dark photos.

Playground has two swing sets, a jungle gym, & slide with a few concrete picnic tables close by for parents to sit and supervise the kids. Picnic Shelter has two long wooden benches, about 4-5 wooden picnic tables, and a few roll off trashcans. Shelter appears to be lighted with electrical access and plug in adjacent to it. No parking lot, sign said no street parking, I parked on the grass. Pet friendly, dogs are allowed on leashes only. Park has trees, looks like a nice, shady place in the summer time, but I was here in December, most of the trees lost their leaves. No public restrooms or sports here, but still a nice place. Not far off of Interstate 10, a block away from AL-59. Quiet.
