STEER WELL CLEAR! I sent off my phone and iPad to both have cracked screens repaired. They ended up having both devices for 3 weeks. The only time they got in touch was when they tried getting me to spend more on a part for my iPad which I apparently needed. When I finally got them back I can now only make phone calls on my phone via speaker phone (Did not have this issue prior to send off) and the screen on my iPad is loose at the bottom causing the home button to sit very deep. I have tried to get in contact with the company to have these issues fixed and am getting no where. The number they provide constantly goes to an automated message asking to call back later, and have received no repsonse to my emails I have sent (Currently at 4). I would not recommend these guys to my worst enemy. read more

Sent my phone in for a new screen, after a four day delay in getting the "mail in" pack (even though I live in London). I was then emailed a few days later to say another part was broken, and it would cost an extra £40 to repair, and there was also an advisory repair for an extra £35. I paid the £40 straight away, and sent a screen grab showing payment. No contact for two days, so I had to chase the person in question to see if payment had been received - this is now two weeks after placing my order. They confirm payment, and say my phone will be ready "some time next week", or I could pay £20 for an express repair. Tried getting hold of their staff to no avail two working days later (weekend in between), only to be told that a part was missing, and it would take another 8 - 10 working days for my phone to be repaired and delivered. I gave up at this point, and asked for my phone to be returned. This was the best part of the service in that my phone showed up two working days later. I was warned it might have been dismantled, and would remain so. Being that I had smashed my screen, and that Fone Angels had "tested" it to see another part was broken, I fully expected to see the phone in two parts. It wasn't. Three weeks after I made my order, my phone was returned un-opened. Tried a different company, and had my phone back within four days (including a weekend), working perfectly, and no extra parts necessary. I would never recommend using Fone Angels. Ever. I'm still waiting on a refund, minus postage, for my repair as well. Their 10 working days aren't quite up just yet, but I fully expect to have to chase for payment on that as well. read more

Truly terrible. I still haven't got my iphone and ipad back and they have been gone for three weeks. They don't answer calls or email. It's clear from going to their Facebook and Twitter pages others have the same issues. read more

I was contacted by company representative who wants to solve my situation. I will keep review update with the outcome. My original experience with this company was not good. I paid extra £14 for courier collection (you pay for return, so total postage fees were £22.99), to speed up the repair. Ordered on Thursday and on web pages they promise 3-5 working days. On Friday next week I was told, that they had to order something for replacement and it will take longer "Due to a problem with a recent stock delivery we have had to re-order the parts needed for your repair. It will be approximately 3-5 working days extra." On Tuesday (after 7 working days - not counting the order date) they called me, that they LOOKED at the device and that LCD is broken and I have to pay extra £99 (as many others). The device was previously assessed by professional shop and they told me it is just the glass (also the LCD was fully working - I was using it for 2 months with broken glass), I just wanted to save some money and send it to this company. I disagreed and asked for return. Next day I received an e-mail that they will be charging me extra £24.99 inspection fees and return postage of £8.99 (well hidden in their Terms and conditions: "4.4 If we are unable to repair your Equipment, no fault is found on your Equipment or decide not to go ahead with any repairs, we will return your Equipment to you un-repaired and we reserve the right to charge you an inspection/processing fee of £24.99 in accordance with our standard charges.") After the call I discovered that they removed the glass and now LCD is indeed broken. After this I was shocked but asked to finish the repair as I wanted to sue them later, but they refused and send it back (received next day). Currently the iPad is more broken than it was, and it costed £47.98, but as I said earlier now I was contacted and we may solve the situation for good. read more

You cannot contact them on the phone - you have to leave voice messages & they never return your call, you get an automated email back. They DO NOT email you with updates, only contact I have had from them was asking for more money as they claim to have found further damage. Sent my device off which was received 31/03/17 & it is now 02/05/17. I'm so scared that I will never see my device again or get my money back. The website states fast repair service IF you pay an additional fee but if you don't (as i haven't) they advise they can contact you directly for an estimated turnaround time, they advised me at the beginning 5 working days, then 7 now all I get is an automated response to say it is in the queue & they cannot give me an exact time scale. I's starting to think they are not an authentic company, that its a scam. read more

Avoid. Had a small hairline crack on my iPad screen. Paid £100 to have this repaired over 3-5 days and took over 2 weeks. Was repeatedly told "we're very busy" when I queried this and was returned in an even worse state. Company had offered 20% off next order - as if I'd use them again! Cheap plastic screen with badly soldered edges which is now becoming unstuck. Truly regret using this company - fooled by other more positive reviews. read more

UPDATE - BBC WATCHDOG REPORT - WATCH BEFORE GOING TO THIS COMPANY! search (as this does not allow links) BBC Watchdog foneangels ------------------- I paid for my iPhone's screen to be repaired over one and a half months ago now, and they've had my actual phone for a week less than that. At first there was a little communication... they were quick to tell me that even though the only issue with the phone was a small crack on the glass of the screen that it looked as if my loud speaker was going to go also... and if I paid an additional £40 they would fix this also. I kindly explained to them that the screen had been cracked for quiet a long time, and we'd never had any issues with the loud speaker, so to leave it in the state it arrived to them, working. The emails stopped soon after this... and a month after that communication I'm still trying to get hold of the current state and location of my phone... they PROMISED ME a postage date of this Monday just gone (17th Oct)... which after I emailed them AGAIN asking for a tracking number... they then said it still hadn't gone on the Tuesday... It's Friday now with no returns to my emails even though they aim to respond in 24-48 hours. My current situation appears that I've paid a company £45 to effectively steal my phone... and after numerous emails simply asking for a tracking number for the phone's postage I've received NO REPLIES since Tuesday. DO NOT USE THE COMPANY... if they even are a company. UPDATE! I had to wait well over a month for my repair... and actually repeatedly hound them towards the end for the location and status of my phone. If you read nearly all of the Trust Pilot reviews you'll see you should not use this company. After getting my phone back it appears that they have damaged the screen they were meant to be replacing... charging me money for what seems like nothing but hassle. They have not fitted official parts either... meaning my screen sticks out well above the usually slim and beautiful profile of the iPhone 6. They also offer to fix my loud speaker... saying it was close to failing... I can only assume this to be a lie.... they appear to have suggested it to numerous other consumers as well... I am waiting to hear back about a refund, and I'll be contacting trading standards with all the information I have. I WILL continue to follow this up... I have the time and the patience when it comes to what's right and whats wrong! read more

Avoid this company like the plague, and check Twitter rather than their website for honest reviews. They have had my device for 8 days and no word from them. I have emailed them 5 times and called 3 times (answerphone, never a real person) and nothing, I even emailed their MD but of course, no reply. So in short they have my phone and I have paid for the repair but I have no idea if it's been repaired or when I will get it back. Like many others I am left very angry and frustrated and phoneless. Really the worst service and customer service I have ever come across. read more

I sent them an Iphone 4 for screen repair and paid via Paypal in advance. They contacted me to say they have also detected one sensor wasnt working and charged a further £35 for repair. It took them over three weeks to return the phone. I kept asking them why phone wasnt returned and they gave different reasons every time. When I asked my faulty phone and refund me my payment, they sent the phone. The screen went blank after a week and I sent the again. This time took further 2 weeks to return. They do not respond, have no quality checks and awful customer service. AVOID . read more

This company is shocking! I would advise people to avoid at all costs. They emailed me on day 5 (despite informing me that my phone would be returned in 3-5 days) that they had ordered faulty parts and so would need 2 more weeks to complete the repair and return my phone. As if this weren't shoddy service enough, today happens to be the final day within the extended repair time and my phone has still not been returned. The company have not even bothered to update me as to the status of my repair or explain why my phone has still not been returned. Shocking service. read more

I wanted a simple screen replacement for an Ipad 2. They say that they will do this in 3-5 days. I dropped the Ipad off on the 1st May. A couple of working days later (5th May) I was emailed and told that there was an issue with the power button - something that reading reviews elsewhere seems to be a common ploy of theirs - I declined this additional repair (on the same day). I then heard nothing. About a week later I contacted them ( 14th May) wondering when I could expect my ipad back. I got an email back telling me they were having issues with spare parts (something I find odd given this is a mainstay of their business). About two weeks later 27th may) I contacted them again demanding my ipad back and a refund. The next day I got an email back saying that my ipad was ready and would be sent out and I would be sent an email confirming this. Its now the 1st June - still no ipad and no email. Do not use these clowns. PS They take negative reviews off of their own website! read more

Foneangels confirmed receipt of my device on 22nd April 2015. Prior to sending the device it was working perfectly except for having a crack in the corner of the screen where my son had dropped it several months earlier. On 23rd April, I received an email advising that the power button would also need to be replaced and asking for permission to undertake the work. I agreed and immediately paid the additional cost via Paypal. The next email I received was on 28th April advising that Foneangels were awaiting parts and there would be a further delay of 5 days. On 6th May, I chased my order for the first time and received a reply on 7th May advising of a further delay, stating that Foneangels were unable to advise how long the delay would be and that the phone lines were extremely busy and as such I should not call. After this email, I received no further update until I chased the company on 20th May. The response advised that the replacement screens had arrived, that one of them had been allocated to my device and that it would be returned during the following week at the latest. On 27th May, I chased again. The response this time was that the part allocated to my device had a fault and that again my device would now not be returned the following week. On 3rd June, I chased again. On this occasion I was advised that the work had not passed the company's quality test and that a small clamp was required to hold the screen in place. Again, I was advised that the device would be returned the following week. After a further chase email on 11th June, I was informed that there was now a fault within the device and that their technician would work on it all day to resolve the issue. Again, I received neither my ipad, nor any update and after contacting Foneangels again on 18th June, I was informed that the motherboard on my device had suffered some damage, that there was a risk in authorising them to undertake the work, but that it was a job they had undertaken successfully on numerous occasions. The fact that no additional money was requested at this time made it fairly clear that the fault had occurred whilst the device was in their possession (it worked fine before they were sent it) and I felt I had no choice at this time but to authorise the procedure as otherwise I would be left with a device that no longer worked in any case. By this time I was fairly fed up and wrote a review on their web page detailing my experience to date. Suffice to say, the review was did not pass their screening and was not posted, in spite of the fact it contained no bad language and only the same facts set out above. If a company is to be honest to the public, they should at least publish reviews, both good and bad, even if they also need to also post an explanation at the same time. Foneangels instead decided to hide the review. After authorising the repair to the motherboard, I again heard nothing from Foneangels. On 27th June, I wrote again asking why I had heard nothing and threatening to report the device as stolen to the Police. A return email was then received from the service manager advising that the repair to the motherboard had been unsuccessful and that the device was therefore dead. I was told that I would have my device returned, with the screen still broken and that I would also receive a refund. Surely when there is a failed repair, the company should advise their customer immediately, not bury their head in the sand and wait until the device owner chases them. Again, to me that would suggest an admission of guilt. My response to their offer was that it was not in the slightest way satisfactory. Foneangels claim to provide a swift and reliable service. In my case, they have taken a device which was previously working perfectly, had for 10 weeks, during which they have provided little by way of updates except when prompted to do so and have failed to fix what should be a relatively straight forward screen replacement, but have instead killed my ipad. Equally disappointing is that Foneangels failed to post my earlier review, hence disguising their failings and purposefully misleading other consumers and possible future customers. I have also attempted to post this review on their website, but would be surprised if it is published and have as a result posted the same contend to all available watchdogs and independent review sites. I have the full email trail available to evidence the above chain of events and would clearly advise anyone who reads this to avoid this company at your peril. read more

sent a broken IPad into them to sell, they gave the best price i could find on the internet. unfortunately the experience rating has dropped through the floor since then. i got notification from the PO that it was delivered and signed for on the 18\1, i received an email on the 26\1 saying it had arrived that day? and it would take 10 working days to check the device and pay, it is now the 15\2 and i have heard nothing. i have emailed customer services 3 times with no response and any phone calls i have made just spin you about saying it takes 10 days and if its been longer email them. pro's - best price for selling items cons - totally at their mercy as they never respond to queries read more

Absolutely ghastly. Sent in iPad for screen repair and within 1 day of receipt received e-mail telling me that following commencement of the repair they noted the power socket needed replacing at an extra cost of £40. Umm.. it worked when I sent it in so I declined. By return of e-mail the price dropped to £35! I still declined. Ten days later no news, I e-mailed again "have to wait ten working days". Few more days later, "oh we are having trouble getting replacement screens at the moment"(err... so why did you open it up and 'find' the dodgy power socket 10+ days previously if you had no screens to fit?) Told they hope to have some screens imminently. Few days later contacted again, no idea when screens coming in and offered return of iPad and refund. If no screens coming in why are you still accepting repairs then? One week later no sign of broken iPad being returned, another email sent, Tried to call just an answerphone... E-mailed again it's being "sent by the end of the week". Have a guess what happened next? That's right, had not arrived a week later. Another email and it finally arrives back unrepaired. About 7 weeks after I sent it away. Still no refund - taking it up with credit card company after two assurances via email that I was going to be refunded. Avoid at all costs. read more

Absolutely diabolical. I sent my sons phone to Foneangels three months ago for a simple screen repair. After missing a number of their own repair deadlines I opted to have the phone returned and my money refunded. I'm still waiting for both. Effectively they have stolen my sons phone and my money. Only way of contacting them is via email and you just get fobbed off with some boilerplate response. They also seem to routinely contact customers after receiving the device to advise that additional work is required. Avoid these guys like the plague - check out the internet, there are lots of similar horror stories to mine read more

I had a small area of damage to the glass of a white iPad mini 2 after I accidentally dropped it. Having read the Fone Angels website where they promised "premium" quality glass replacement I placed an order to have the item repaired. The repair took over 2 weeks and when I received the item back, whilst it worked correctly, the LCD screen behind the glass was not fitted straight and the shade of white of the glass was very different to the home button. This issue, especially the wonky LCD screen, gave the iPad a poor visual appearance. I complained about this and after a week where my email wasn't answered, reportedly because it had been redirected to a "spam" mailbox, I described the issue in detail and was offered a repair of the item. When I sent the iPad back, I was then informed that there were no faults and that I would be charged (again) to have the item returned to me! I'm really shocked by the poor service and attention to detail shown and would not recommend anyone take the risk of using Fone Angels service. I have tried to complain further but have still not received any response. read more

Utterly diabolical, avoid at all costs. I am at the unhappy stage of having to take this company through the small claims court for my money back. When you ring you will go to customer services who will ALWAYS promise you your money back (yes they admit they owe me the money) and that it will be there within 3-5 days. Unfortunately, they seem to think repeating this every ten days is an acceptable way to run a business. A good hard look at the likes of "Trust Pilot" will show how fast they challenge any negative feedback left - if they hit the refund button or paid as much attention to their customers, they might not need to! And most of trust pilot reviews of their company are "removed". I do think Trading Standards need to be advised of the way they use the trustpilot logo on their website as it is totally misleading. Check them out on trustpilots OWN site, twitter etc before trusting them with your cash or your equipment. read more

From the start I didn't get any response when I used the online tool to book in my ipad (they were supposed to contact me within 48 hours to confirm when a courier would pick up my ipad). I had to call them after a 72 hour wait. The courier picked up my ipad and I heard nothing after 6 working days (return is promised in 5). Again I had to contact them. They still hadn't had a delivery of screens but told me on the phone that I had an issue with my volume button. I paid the invoice they sent me. Another week on and I had to call again and was promised delivery in two days. Still no luck. As I was passing nearby I picked it up after more than two weeks of no response and the screen not being fixed. The next day I took it to a local company who a) fixed it within 30 minutes and b) showed me the volume button worked fine. Awaiting a refund from them. Would not use again. The company also called last night to see if I would up my star rating for 20% off next time - no chance. As I would not they complained to trust pilot (maybe to say I was not a customer) and had the review temporarily taken down until I could prove purchase - which I now have. So, as a result I am now posting to multiple review sites just to make sure the message is heard by others. read more

Having read previous reviews I felt that I should also post regarding my experience as a customer of Fone Angels . I sent an iPad 3 to them some months ago and a day after they had my Tablet they sent me an email asking me for another £15 for a frame Bezel seemed dogey but being an older gentleman I dont no much about these computers so agreed and paid . They then called me a few days later telling me my home button was broken now my glass was cracked at the top right hand side and no where near this button however the Girl who called me told me the home button would need replacing . Again I not knowing a lot about these computers took her advice and paid another £40 to have this part fixed but looking at some other review it would seem I had been had my device was the iPad 3 and I have later read that this part is not only rarely damaged with a cracked screen BUT DOESNT EXIST!!!! I am currently in the process of filing a claim to the small claims court and will be sending an email to the Director later I belive his email is Tim@foneangels.co.uk for those who want there voices heard I shall be sending Tim an angry email and processing a claim via the small claims court DO NOT USE FONE ANGELS THEY ARE TRIYING TO RIP YOU OFF I had a second damaged iPad a few weeks later beonging to my Grandson rather than take it to Fone Angels who took almost a month to repair my device and ripped a pensioner off for £55 i sent the iPad to www.quickmobilefix.com while there offices where not the most modern looking offices at least they did not mug off a pensioner and keep my grandsons ipad for a month!! Fone Angels have failed to respond to my many emails chasing up my refund - "oh its the xxxxxx department, I'll chase them for you" excuse - time and time again. However, they were able to have the temerity to remove my review stating that I didnt exist as as a customer...might explain why they cant find my 25% + express postage refund either. They CANNOT be contacted by phone. Please, please, PLEASE, take the time to read the plethora of reviews from others who have encountered slow turnaround times, additional repairs at extra cost after "initial investigation" and poor to non-existent resolution of customer issues. -- they talk a very good talk according to their website reviews (who ever posts even a mediochre one), but when it comes to action - FoneAngels certainly cannot walk the walk. Stay well away. this company have featured on Rip Off Britain and Watchdog on BBC3. Use Google to view the shows. Do you research before buying into the glitzy website. 1 month to complete a 1hour job is simply outrageous. In short, I had a horrific experience; they'll gladly take your money. I could have gone to the previous repair shop I used, spent a few pounds more but my phone would have been fixed within a few hours. If you do decide to use FoneAngels I wish you the best of luck, but if you encounter any problems, ask them to guarantee their time frames. That way you have ground for legal action. On a closing note the twitter feed of #foneangels is very insightful. I wish I saw this first, but I'm not a twitter user! read more

I sent my phone to FoneAngels to be repaired for a simple front screen replacement. FoneAngels then contacted me to tell me they would sort my phone but if the bottom touch screen was broken as well (which it wasn't by any means) they would charge me a extra £150. With this in mind I then asked for a full refund and my phone back, it took over a week for me to get my phone back and a month later I finally got a refund but not even the full amount! just 3/4 of it. Their customer service is slow and sloggy and it took me weeks at a time and prescient emails to get a hold of anyone. AVOID AT ALL COST. read more
