Not a typical Food City patron here, but while cruising up 59 I was lured off the exit by the Starbucks sign and subsequently into this Food City. I decided since I was already there, I would scoop up a few drinks and snacks to finish the road trip out and avoid stopping by a gas station. The store was clean and presentable, but a bit dated and worn in most places inside. Prices were fair and comparable to a Kroger, which was nice. Service was okay. The cashier was not very engaging, but they were efficient, so I won't complain too much. The store offered your typical grocery store goods with a few specialty counters. Overall, decent experience and okay grocery store. read more

The outside looked good but it kinda yucky inside. I grabbed two things for lunch but neither of them were good either. I'm glad I just stopped by as I'm traveling bc I will never stop here again. A little gross. A few lady workers in here were very kind though. read more

If I could rate it a zero. I would. The prices are outrageous, plus, 4 times out of 5 when I stop at the hot bar in deli, it takes an act of congress to get someone to even acknowledge your there. No, "I'll be right with you", "Give me just a moment" nothing. It's like I'm invisible. Never going to hot bar again. read more

The old store was OK but the new one is simply despicable. The soup bar should be avoided. usually cold and or missing signage identifying soups. The last two days, the soup was cold. I notified young lady behind the hot food counter. She checked and said the heaters were off and the cooling was on. She turned on heat and said it would be about 30 minutes. Thats 30 minutes to encourage futher bacteria growth. I found a shopping cart full of dripping, moldy, water barries in the dary asle. I told a lady who identified as mangament. She said "they just dont know any better". she did not see a real problem with it, which means that Food city has no perception of food safety. The construction workers in the store working in and wround customers, posed great danger to themselves and cusomers. Operating manlifts without any condideration for customer safety, or the electricians operating them. Electricaians standing on the top step of 10' ladders in main asles. OMG!!! Electrician standing on top of food prep service in severa locations in the store. I have lots of pictures if anyone from food city management is interested. I hope the new store gets better management. right now, this store should be avoided for customer safety and numerous food safety concerns. Again, I have pictures that would make one sick! read more

I love the new fresh sushi at our Trenton, GA store. Both of the chefs that I met so far have been fantastic! Love the " Fat Boy" roll.

Just a good ole local grocery store, clean, got everything I need. The staff is great.

Prices were adequate. Cheap if you had a card but we weren't going to get a card for a store we were never going to visit again. We got all of the items that we needed for our weekend trip. However, one of the items we got for our weekend trip was a chocolate meringue pie. This pie was the single worst thing I have ever put in my mouth. Let me enumerate further: upon first glance, the pie appeared to be like any other chocolate meringue pie. However, as we took our first bite, we realized that this was, in reality, UNLIKE any other chocolate meringue pie in that it was inedible. The crust was adequate. The chocolate shavings were perhaps the only enjoyable aspect of the pie at all. The meringue was sugarless egg whites whipped to the bare minimum required to qualify as meringue. Finally, the chocolate section of the pie was gag-inducing. As one presses down upon the chocolate with their fork, a watery liquid oozes out of the pie. This is disconcerting to say the least. To sum it up, I would have rather eaten the poop pie from the Academy Award winning film, the Help, than eat this chocolate meringue pie ever again. At least the characters in the Help enjoyed that pie. read more

I love my Food City! Its clean, the carts roll smooth. The employees are so friendly, & the managers are helpful. The store is set-up so the Managers office is within feet of the cashiers & if needed they is no wait! Very smart! read more

I shopped today and food at deli and bakery was fresh and so many items to choose from..prices good..store was very busy but employees always around to help....items always easy to find and in correct isle ....cashiers are friendly and fast...I do not know anyone that works here I have worked in retail a lot over the years and know how stressful and tiring it is and I came across a review here that was just plain hateful...left buggy and told manager he/she was going to ingles..all because deli had closed early due to not being busy and that peed him off, then manager did not offer to OPEN DELI BACK UP FOR HIM???? When he said he was going to ingles....get real..and have a little self control over your anger and selfishness...I would have told you...fine...and have a blessed day......I just had to give this store and the employees a thumbs up....always friendly, clean and organized..and I'm never in there longer than I want to be...thank you... read more

My name is Jeff and I can't believe what happened this last saturday 02-24-18 in your trenton store. My wife and I were out shopping for non grocery items in Chattanooga and passed by several grocery stores. I wanted to use the store in town here that I have become familiar with.I had been in :this store before on a sat night and I knew the Deli was open until at least 8 . I arrived at the store at 7:40 and the deli was all shut down . I asked the lady who was cleaning the cooler why they were closed. she responded with "well sometimes they let me close early if it is slow" I went up to the front counter and asked for the manager . She said the deli should be open until 9:00 since the deli is the first place i start my shopping I left my cart and told the manager that I would be going to Ingles for my shopping. Now the manager could have told me to hold on while they reopened the deli ,but she didn't . Shame on all of them , if they don"t want to work their hours then maybe you should close the whole store at 6 or 7 . I have worked in retail my whole life and sure there are many days when I would of loved to have closed up shop early . I'm sure the lady at Ingle s would of loved to have been home too but they were open .Check your cameras in the store you will see that I am telling the truth and someone should be disciplined for this.You lost my business. read more
