Their mission Statement says their aim is to reach the vulnerable lost and broken with a desire to see them set free within the Gospel of Jesus Christ. They feed 85-100 people over the weekend with free Breakfast and Lunch. They have various Food Banks and a Clothes Bank where they offer additional support for people who need them. A lot of homeless, badly housed and socially excluded visit because they know they can have as many cups of tea and cakes as they want, get a hot breakfast and hot drink, get clothes, toiletries and food parcels. It's not huge but you get the feeling that every stall has been picked for its supreme quality. There's an interesting macrobiotic yoghurt stall, a 'deli' stall selling vibrant salads, whopping great scotch eggs and other savoury treats, a fish stall with a variety of fresh delights from the sea, a stall of the yummiest, sweet baked creations you've ever seen, a stall selling gluten free pasta - stuffed with various delicious combinations, a local fruit and veg stall and a fresh bread stall. It's all achingly middle class (and equally aching on the wallet!) but the food is divine and it's a first class Saturday afternoon activity.
