All of the food establishments are fast-food type of joints, but the food they serve is very good. There are also several bars, serving a variety of beers, wines and other drinks. Restaurants, if you can call them that, range from fusion (Korea meets Philly) to Mexican, Thai, Burger, Pizza, Sandwich and other ethnic places. Here is what I had: 1. Pierogi - excellent. They have three kinds - classic (potatoes and cheese), feta and spinach; and ground beef. I asked for a mix - two of each kind - and loved them all. First cooked and than pan fried, they are served with several sauces, grilled onions and bacon bits on top. 2. Korean Cheesesteak - very good. Served with bulgogi type beef with melted cheese on a brioche bun. Just get the food and sit at any of the bars or tables and roaming waitresses will approach you to ask you if you want any beers or other beverages. Also, it's a credit cards only establishment!

Most of the vendors here serve tasty, fresh food. But at least it was air conditioned, and there were free bathrooms near the back. And they served liquor and beer at the bar in the center. Not bad beer selection either, though a bit pricey. In terms of food, there were multiple stands. You could get oysters, duck buns, charcuterie, desserts, and more. They have live music three nights a week, and there's a tons of outdoor seating.

But I did not care for the BBQ pork bun. I was surprised how bland it tasted. Maybe it was just me but I would order other stuff from here! I couldn't catch this other restaurant but they had really good hot dog that were made in special way! You can see the hot dog is not just any other hot dog. People here are friendly but the place itself is quite crowded so it tends to get humid inside. Could not find many seats either. You'll just need to keep looking!

In the main walkway of De Hallen, there are a bunch of booths where vendors are selling vintage items which was cool. None of sellers were particularly pushy. I do wish there was some seating available in the main hallway. As a tourist, this would be an optional item on my itinerary. Overall, De Hallen was what I expected out of a marketplace/food hall type concept. I found it to be a good place to wait out heavy rains.

They have delicious healthy smoothies, salads, sandwiches, pizza and little snacks. But also cold drinks, cappucino and tea are part of the company. The personnel is very friendly and helpfull. If you want to bake your egg, they are prepared to do that for you :). Most of the visitors are staff from Schiphol, tourists, daily travel users or business people who are in conversation. Chargers are avaiable at the tabels for charging your phone or laptop.
