Food was delicious!!! Parking was a nightmare... Cow palace parking lot small AF.. Beautiful day to walk in the city

This is the physical definition of overrated. Let's start off with the $15 parking. Rip off. Windy Daly City weather and overpriced food. Yes, I was tge suckered who paid $27 for refillable lemonade. It's so funny that some of the drinks come in baby bottles. The largest one being $35, because we're suckers for buying it. The food was subpar. Think regular Lumpur, oysters that were overcooked, and mango sticky rice that had unripe mangos. Everything was like $15 to $20. Complete waste of time and a rip off if you're a real foodie. This would be for someone who can't or doesn't want to go find real shaved ice, ice cream, lemonade, etc.

First, parking is horrible!!! the event supposedly started at 3 PM. We got there around 1 and the parking lot was already full though when you walk in you see a lot of empty spaces so I'm not quite sure what that was all about. The food itself was good each item cost between 12 and $25 which was not bad... more on the $20 side I got the lumpia and the oysters.. each item was good, but the lumpia was buried under pork rinds, which I didn't like. The lines were OK as well unless you were trying to get mac & cheese , that line was long.. There were a few rides for kids like a bungee jump type thing and then little games for kids to play to win prizes other than that it was strictly about the food. We paid $12 and parked on the street so parking was free just horrible. That's the only downside that I can think of about this event. We purchased our tickets off a Groupon, which is how I got them for $12 instead of the $26. I saw posted later on. A nice time in the bay with family and friends. This is definitely the spot to go, but remember they have one in San Jose if you don't like parking and walking up steep Hills to go back to your car lol

Traditional Corn Dog hit the spot!!

Late review. First time attending Foodieland in San Francisco at the Cow Palace. If you go to beat the crowds in the am be prepared to wait inline for parking. They really needed better traffic control. $15 bucks for parking. Entry tickets $12 per person. Was expecting this to be a jumbo size street fair and it was to a certain extent. Lots of food vendors at extravagant prices. So be prepared to shell it out and wait in line. Great fried whole squid, Super yummy smothered French fries, all kinds of desserts and drinks. More food than you can enjoy. Worse of the day... the BBQ oysters were overcooked, dry, small and not good value, avoid these. Otherwise come early for lunch and stay late for dinner to maximize your entry ticket. Wish there was live music playing. We only stayed for lunch so maybe there was live music in the evening? They had county fair type games if you are into that kind of thing. Retail vendors kind of limited and not much beyond cheap souvenirs? You have to go at least once and experience this. I understand this event is held at different venues in different cities so you experience will vary depending on which one you attend Suggestion to organizers... lower food prices to normal street fair prices. You charge a premium entry fee and vendors charge more for the same food you get at no cost entry street fairs.

(Sugar mama) Matcha and sugar cane juice makes me question everything so much. At first few sips, it does not mix at all, but the more I sip, the more I get used to it. In the end, it doesnt taste good (On a stick) Potato swirl, was really nice and crispy like a better fresh chip, and other area were soggy, half and half. Also very easy to spill. But still my fav (On a stick) Fried oreo actually tastes perfect. The fried batter perfectly crisp with good substance. While the cream in the oreo has been melted and infused with the oreo. It becomes mostly the cookie part which is warm and I love it. Like chocolate ice cream or brownie. This was my biggest happy surprise I really enjoyed this one (Gen korea house) Spicy pork rice bowl: The rice is rice, love it. Pork is perfectly tender, it actually tastes better than it looks. The flavor also doesnt back down, real spicy like hot cheetos level where it slowly gets spicier the more you eat. Extra Everythings over priced, even one where I thought I got a good deal, in hindsight, it was 17$ for this small box of rice and meat. Presentation was sad too. Smokey Nice large area with tables and chairs. But often I'd find myself needing to share with someone Even getting a simple drink was expensive One stall was from Riverside and it definitely shows, these definitely feel like LA prices Would I recommend this place? Definitely a very rare/unique experience, I've been to better festivals like these before but again super rare. No I wouldnt recommend this one specifically. The carnival area was also sad. Lots of cool food but the price took me out of it every time 4/5

Having been to night markets in Asia, this was definitely one event I had to check out! We went on Friday evening and the weather was terrible, extremely windy and drizzly. The food, drink and merchandise vendors were plentiful. I love being able to try different foods and drinks. Since there were five of us, we tried a variety of things. My favorite were the deep fried giant squid and the chicken with mochi skewers. I didn't like the sushi hand rolls at Temaki Time as the spicy tuna was a bit bland for my taste and the crab was a bit fishy. I also recommend skipping the pork belly chips at Mano Po as they were fried ahead of time and cold. We also tried bbq ribs, garlic shrimp and sushi tacos. The cost is $7 to get in, entry passes are only available online. Parking is $15. Each food and drink vendor we went up to was quick and friendly. Expect long lines at the more popular places. Be prepared to pay an average of $20-$30 at each vendor. Overall, a fun and filling experience!

Expecting nothing made this experience so much more memorable! My daughter and her bf took me to the Cow Palace's Foodie land Fest to watch ourselves and others stuff faces. What made this great was that most foods were quite innovative and unseen elsewhere, even drinks came in large baby bottles or a super large container shaped as an animal. On that Saturday late afternoon, there were more hipsters than families with kids. Pop music filled the air. We had tuna and salmon in seaweed taco shells, a whole lobster, alligator bites, churros sundae, tang hulu, Mac and cheese fried chicken taco, sticky rice with mango, and other things I don't remember, other than it all being pretty tasty. Even though it was windy and cold, the vibe was festive, lines moved quickly overall, and everyone looked like they had delicious fun!

Lines were long but the waits were not unbearable. Came on Saturday at 1:30pm. Parking was $15 and conveniently located in the Cow Palace lot. Food was good! A couple misses (corn dog at turkey leg place) but mainly hits (lumpia, cheesecake on a stick, yakitori skewers)! It was very fun and tasty. We spent ~3hrs+ there. Nice variety of food and vendors. Plentiful and conveniently located trash receptacles. Seating area in the middle of everything was always packed. No backpacks allowed!

We got here early and the line was already on the main street. Very organized and some food is great but the lobster and garlic noodles are overrated. The lobster is overcooked it's hard to eat and dry. Parking lots do not have enough space to accommodate all the people attending. Overall were satisfied with our experience.

Foodie Land was pretty cool prices for clothes and other things were high but the best part was the Maine Lobster fire and the Grilled Oysters.

Tasty food vendors all in one place but the venue was dirty and disorganized. Lines were long and food is pricey. Food is mostly Asian but there were other regions represented from Mediterranean, Mexican, barbecue and Indian.

Don't be shocked when you roll into the parking lot there's plenty of parking especially ADA parking but it's gonna be about $20 a car. It beats walking up the hills and down the hills and everything else. Plus they have a shuttle where you come to the building it'll take you to the lower main entrance doors and pick you up and return you to the upper parking lot. I saw so many things that were just so cute especially the kids doing fancy dress with their adult parents. Yes it truly was a bit of the Dickens feeling. The event area is quite sizable so be prepared to walk and if you have walking issues, they do rent wheelchairs inside. You also may bring your electric mobility wheelchair if you have one. This is completely family, friendly and a place that you will probably return to on the holidays in the future. Be sure to check out the times and schedules for the live entertainment in the different rooms. There's a little something for everyone like a twist on Shakespeare or a Charles Dickens story retold or just playing song and dance. That's so energetic and lively. We especially enjoyed the Surrey Theatre, the leather pub the area where they sold the meat pies the ale house alley were Sal's pub performed wonderful stage performance at mad Sals. The whole thing was indoors and so you didn't have to worry about the weather and it's well lit, and the smell of food is in the air. Go enjoy and live in that time and experience what it was like to be around when Dickens was around.

Big turnout, which felt refreshing even this long after the start of COVID. Good live bands, good selection of food (Gets more reasonable as you go West), and I'm sure the businesses loved the lively volume of foot traffic. The only trick was finding parking... this was the worst it's been for anything I've tried to do in years! But it wasn't hard once I got to MLK in the park.

Although they ask $25(plus ticket fees) for attendees to attend the Night Market, I was generally happy to donate to La Cocina just for the convenience of not waiting in super big lines on Saturday. I got there a little bit before 6pm, the event's official start time. I had originally treked over to 25th and Fulsom to find a booth where I can redeem my voucher for a passport. Upon getting there, a La Cocina worker told me that the booth was located at the site....uggghhh. Note to self: go straight to the event for future reference. I arrived at the Alemany Farmers Market with parking pass in hand(bought online for around $9) thinking I was early...ummmm nope. The place was already packed full of people! The people who took the shuttles already arrived and they already had a lengthy head start! The food options were aplenty, lots and lots of businesses were there offering everything from sandwiches, soups, tacos, and other tasty treats. My favorite was the Boss Hog provided by the Bone & Gristle Boys and 4505 Meats. This sandwich initially looked like a huge McGriddle but it was way better than that! Between two griddled English Muffins, nestled a serving of corn meal crusted deep-fried pork and slow roasted chili rubbed pork with a jalapeno ranch dressing. Add vermont cheddar, market greens, smoked red onions, and chicharrones for crunch, and it was AMAZING! It literally was a mess to eat with plenty of stuff falling out and juice getting on your hand, but I'll gladly wipe my hands clean as long as I can have another! Other food booths that I tried included the Jim 'N' Nicks whole hog pork with adobo sauce, The Whole Beast's merengez lamb sausage on a bun with peppers as well as their kefta lamb meatballs on a stick with yogurt dipping sauce, Huarache Loco's lamb taco and lamb soup both of which packed a wallop in spicy punch, and lastly, a serving of Locandoa Osteria's grilled short ribs. Hot and spicy soup does wonders for warming up in the chilly conditions! I can't forget about the alcohol...Whole Foods was there with eight selections of beers ranging from IPA and pale ales to cider too. Ryed from the Road were also there doing cocktails like old-fashions too. Note to future attendees: Wristbands are needed to purchase alcohol although this fact may not be conveyed to you when you arrive. I didn't learn of this until I got to the front of the beer line. Also, alcoholic drinks require you to exchange for tokens as well. Each token is $4(1 token for beer, 2 tokens for mixed drinks). Wristbands and token exchange were located near the entrance of the event. Overall, it was a fun event that had a good turnout and lots of communal seating and many portable heaters for warmth. It was super windy and cold on the night we went so bring your hat, scarves, and jackets when attending. I'll likely come back again for the good food and drinks and to support La Cocina and their charitable endeavors. One thing that I absolutely wish I had tried: Endless Summer's Bacon Maple Kettlecorn!

I love that it had all of the classic games and rides, albeit that the cost of game tickets was far more expensive than I recall them typically being. The wristband system was nice, though. On the contrary, re: food, I got lobster fries that were cheaper than what I would have expected for the usually up-charged fair prices. The serving size was quite hefty, and they didn't skimp on the lobster. The coolest thing about the SMCF for me was that their concert series was free to fair attendees. This was my first visit to the SF Aloha Festival, and I rather enjoyed it if only because it's good to see such a pronounced minority group congregate in one place, especially since Pacific Islanders don't really have a neighborhood they can call their own in the city. There were certainly lots of kiosks with lots of Hawaiiana and other Pacific-oriented paraphernalia. But who am I kidding? I just went for the $10 Hawaiian plate at one of the numerous kiosks serving them. The pig-pork was so moistly tender that I didn't mind the slightly congealed flavor of the macaroni salad. Dining al fresco meant sitting on an unoccupied street curb, but that's OK as long as I could get up again without moaning. I barely caught the Polynesian shows on the dual stages since they were surrounded far and wide by masses of occupied patio chairs and blankets. But I'll know better to come a bit earlier than 2pm to get a good view of the festivities. In the meantime, da place stay cold, while da pig stay hot. Aloha, brudda.

I volunteered last week for the festival set up with the Bike Valet (Friday 3pm-7:30pm)!!! Got in for free the next day! So much fun! Met lots of other awesome volunteers and got to talk to different vendors! It's great to buy products at this festival. A lot of the prices are cheaper than retail prices and may be limited in quantity! A few highlights... - Insect Discovery Lab: touched a millipede, and a hissing cockroach - Clif Bar: sampled their new white chocolate macadamia nut! yum! - McEvoy Ranch & Sapothecary: got 3 handmade soaps (lavender and glacial mud) for $10! - Blue Lotus: bought veggie bags (3 for $8.50) - Dr. Bronner's Magic: got lots of bath samples - less crowded = more space :) - lots of samples to try! Though there were a lot fewer vendors than during the fall, I really enjoyed taking my time to browse through the festival! I was there from 10am til about 12:30pm. There were many new vendors there, and some old! :D It still took me a few hours to see all of the booths! There was just soooo much to absorb! I highly recommend coming in November!!! Go green: walk 15 mins from the SF Caltrain Depot

It's the first year that the Green Festival is here in San Francisco in the Spring (they usually…read moreare only here annually in November, they'll be back again November this year too). It took me awhile to get used to the landscape of the festival as there was so much to see, buy, taste and hear that was "green" - loved it! I would try to write all about it in detail, but it's just too much, too much!! You just have to go there and experience it for yourself tomorrow or in November when it comes back! Go, go *green*! Note: If you take public transportation to the Fest, you get in for $5 - I was there all day from 11AM til 6PM, what a great day!
