This location has a lot of great features. The cafe area has pizza, sushi, subs, salads, soups all ready to eat or made to order. They also have a large selection of pre-packaged items that can be eaten in or taken home to enjoy. The cafe space is clean and well maintained with a variety of seating options (including a small kids table area which is fun if you bring little ones). The parking lot is well lit and well maintained and has plenty of accessible spaces (including some marked for those that are pregnant or with small children). There is an amazing bakery with a wide variety of freshly baked goods, a large wine and beer selection, more varieties of cheese than you ever knew existed and tons of great meats and seafoods. The standard grocery store area of the store is well stocked, well marked and it is easy to find what you are looking for. They have a lot of their own branded products and they are affordably priced with a nice variety. Some of my favorites are their cereals and their sparkling waters. There are ample cashiers available and they are always courteous and efficient. Whether you are looking for a specialty item or just doing your weekly shopping, this Wegmans is wonderful.

Not exotic items, but good basics...apples, oranges, bananas, assorted vegetables, salad, etc. Had name brand dry grocery items as well as off- brand options. They carry organic eggs, peanut butter, plant-based milks, vegan options, etc for the health-conscious. Cashier was friendly and shelves were well stocked. We were able to get everything we needed for our week-long camping trip. Easy in, easy out with no wait. Bring your own bags or buy them at the checkout.

This store is not busy for large portions of the evening yet somehow it's hard for the door watchers to be friendly And it seems like every time they hire a new employee they need to be babied for a month to learn how to provide reasonable customer service.

But since the previous owners left, the store has gone right downhill. Many empty spaces on the shelves, across the various departments; the same items missing for several weeks running. Last week I came home without FIVE basic items I needed on a standard shop for two people; today it was three items on a top-up. The tags are on the shelves, just no product. It's obvious we need another grocery store in Port Dover to supply the growing population but also to create some competition. Who wants to be running in & out of Simcoe every few days just to pick up basic items? New owner -- please take notice!

There have been times when an advertised product was not available, but this store is at the mercy of the supply chain, and sometimes gets little or no product to put out. The staff here have always been kind and very helpful whenever asked, the store is clean and brightly lit. I for one am very thankful we have them to shop at. She refused to listen and another lady came so I explained it to her. She got snippy too as I was trying to show her the stickers then the cashier told me to shut up be quiet for a minute! I couldn't believe it I told her please don't talk to me like that I hadntbeen rude at all to her or raised my voice nothing! The other lady said the cashiers deaf she can't hear so i reply that perhaps if she wasn't able to do her job she shouldn't be working it. The lady got right ignorant with me then & the cashier was sure able to hear what I said then and up until that point I might add! I finally had enough could feel the tears coming so I just left all my stuff and walked out. Never ever shopping there again.

The aisles appeared wider than normal grocery aisles which made a more comfortable experience also. The staff was helpful and there were sample stations near the prepared food aisles. I left buying more than I needed. It is unfortunate Wegmans is so far from home. I could see myself shopping there on a regular basis.
