The "alleged" tumor was my knee replacement surgery! Of course he didn't listen, but offered to sell me an over the counter tube of salve for $30. I walked out, and never set foot there again. Agility drills, Jumping and pivoting were starting to become painful enough to start being cautious about it. I'm cursed with poor foot genetics unfortunately, as both my parents have Hallux Valgus aka The Big Bad Bunion! There are MANY options to choose for foot care in Ventura County, so how do you whittle your selection down to one??? Dr. Nguyen came highly recommended by many of the hospital staff that worked with him. My wife also had previous appointments with him, and appreciated his knowledge and bedside manner. Okay, sounds like a good place to start :) Turns out, Dr. Tim Nguyen is one of the kindest and pleasant doctors I've ever met, and a great knowledge base as well! I was well taken care of during all my visits, and once it was decided I needed Surgical Correction, I was comfortable with that choice. So surgery was performed at St. John's Outpatient Surgery Center in Oxnard. Dr. Nguyen gave me instructions to prepare for surgery and also received a call from St. John's the day before, on what to expect and more instructions. The St. John's Staff is WONDERFUL! Kind, skilled, definite examples of their motto, "Human Kindness." My Anesthesiologist was also a Dr. Nguyen, so I was in a "Nguyen-Nguyen" situation! (Get it??? Win-Win! Hah!) Dr. Tim Nguyen repeated all his plans for my surgery to Wifey & me again, answered all new questions, then off I went! Surgery went well, woke up with no pain, and didn't remember a thing of anything that happened in surgery suite or recovery. I sure felt like a VIP my entire stay (from what I remember). I actually didn't need the narcotics prescribed during the entire recovery. Six weeks later I am back to walking normally. Yay! Now gotta burn off all excess weight gain... Doh! EASY RECOMMENDATION! I had a problem with a podiatrist I was seeing up here in slo county so I decided to go down to Santa Barbara county because I knew there are great surgeons down there that I dealt with before and they would put me in the right direction. And of course they did and I saw Dr Campbell who had a five-star rating and decided to ask him to fix my foot. I know gas is not cheap these days but it's worth every penny to go and see him. I'm very pleased with him and the work he's doing for my foot.

Eventually saw another doctor at the practice and he agreed that the brace would not fit in a shoe! He sent it back. Five appointments and a bunch of money spent....FOR NOTHING!
