I went to them after an emergency visit to Los robles, only because I was desperate and the places they recommended couldn't take me quickly (presumably because they do a good job). Complete waste of time, the physician didn't even look at my injury, and to add insult, I was told they were going to put the MRI order in to my insurance company (anthem Blue shield PPO), and they never did. I went to Dr Patterson, who prior to the mri, did a full evaluation and properly ascertained it was my meniscus. He was correct. These people deserve their crappy reviews because they offer crappy service (none), have no follow through at the back office level, and are complete waste of time. read more

It has been quite challenging to navigate through this medical service, especially considering my background in the field. During my initial visit, I had to wait for 3 hours, and during the third visit, I was informed last minute that I needed a CT scan. Despite this, I was still charged for the visit, with the excuse of "sorry, our nurse forgot to inform you." Unfortunately, there was no follow-up visit arranged. After my appointment at the radiology center was canceled, I took time off work to reschedule, only to be told by Ventura Ortho that they couldn't see me for at least 2 weeks. This situation is further complicated by my cast and the accompanying pain. Not to mention the thousands of dollars im paying out of pocket. Now, as of today, I've had the cast on for a month, not sure if I need insurance and in severe pain. And no appointment until the 17th Disappointing read more

Do not go here. Sent my husband here yesterday specifically to pay out of pocket to get an MRI for his wrist. We called before hand to make sure that would be possible. It's been bothering him after construction work & then suddenly flared up. We suspect some sort of tendinitis. My husband repeatedly told this to the doctor but the doctor did not listen & kept attempting to look for a broken bone & would only do an xray. We know no bone was broken so we paid $360 for an unwanted xray that could have been covered by our insurance elsewhere. We got no mri. Just pain killers and no answers. Place is a sham. read more

Dr. Sharareh operated on me a year and a half ago and put in a plate for a hairline hip fracture. It took him one-and-a-half years to get a prescription for PT. I'm still in pain, have pain down leg, into foot, low back, massive scar tissue and he bragged that the surgery only took eighteen minutes. Every time I complained, he just shrugged and said, "X-rays look good." I'm 80 and now told that I should have had a hip replacement, not a plate. Plates are for young people. He gets and "F" grade from me. Had a hip replacement some time ago for other hip and it was fine after three months. This is an agony. He walks away if he does a bad job. read more

I had an appt on Monday am with Dr Fealy. He was arrogant, rude and refused to answer any questions. I would never ever walk into this medical group for any reason. Stay away. Even the surgery that he was going to do was not the correct surgery and my recovery would have been very limited. I found another surgeon and I will have full use if my hand after pt. I happily recommend Dr. Ghilarducci, he did my root repair. He is a consummate professional and answered all of my questions; which a couple (twice, in nearly a year) of times when they were running behind, I figured because he was answering someone else's questions. He explained the surgery, reviewed all my scans and X-rays, how the repair works and why. I went in confident. The PT department are all terrific people with big hearts and are passionate about their work. PT is highly effective, you get out what you put in. I had hip replacement surgery in June 2023 with Dr. Jason Hofer and everything went extremely well. The surgery and all the after care and physical therapy were excellent. RECOMMEND! I had my first appointment/visit at Dr Motamedi's office. I was refered to him by Dr Chris Arnold (great MD) They were fairly busy at Dr Motamedi's office, but the front desk ladies were very nice and helpful. Unfortunately, I didnt get their names. My wait time was minimal. Ricky took me in the back and he was very nice and professional. Short time later Dr Motamedi came in and he was also very nice, professional and a great "listener," which is unusual these days. My procedure was handled very professionally and timely. Great bedside manner by the doctor. I knew he was busy too. I really appreciate good bedside manner with doctors and nurses, but you dont always get it. God bless our medical field. read more

Dr. was dismissive disrespectful. He ordered an X-ray for my mother because I didn't remember the name of the office her MRI was done then laughed in my face shaking his head. I have deslexia didn't remember an office from two weeks ago we were never returning to. We were referred to Ventura Orthopedics by primary medical group next door that day so rather than phoning I decided to do a walk in and got in in an hour. We didn't have my mother's MRI records on hand. Easley found through Google maps after I gave him the street but instead took my mom to be x-rayed. I had my first appointment with Dr. Suzuki. The check in process was very efficient. I got called in right on time. The PA did all the preliminary work and took me into X-Ray. Dr. Suzuki came in within 5 minutes of my returning. He was very thorough. Reviewed the X-Rays and completed my exam. He answered all my questions and set me up with future tests. The PA came back with all the info necessary for me to schedule my tests. I was out the door in less than 45 minutes from my arrival. read more

Dr. Gluck did a successful CTR surgery but I had waited too long and it has not healed well at all. My problem with VO and why I will not go back is because of the way the office is run. I have worked both front and back offices of numerous doctor's offices and there is no excuse for making patients with an appointment booked weeks in advance to wait TWO HOURS! Not only do they overbook and poorly manage Dr's appointments but they have an attitude about it and can't even apologize ... and do it repeatedly! I have been there at least 6 times for this hand that will not heal and EVERY time I have waited - in a conference chair in a hallway - for between 45 minutes and 2 hours. NOT ACCEPTABLE. My time is valuable too and when an appointment is made the appointment should be kept. If there are circumstances creating running late or unable to see everyone apologies should be immediate, sincere and not repeated. My hand is worse now than when I went for surgery but I will not go back there and take the abuse the staff offers and the waste of my precious time! read more

I'm not going to go into too much detail because it's so long and drawn out, it's not worth my time anymore. All I will say is 2 years ago, I came in with significant pain. Having never had back issues, I did not then know the protocol that one must go through with Insurance. Given steroids that worked for a few days til it all came back with a vengeance. My daughter had to literally let me hang on her to get there in 10/10 pain. No MRI, just more pills. That night I called begging the nurse to help me as I was now in over 10 pain! She was so uncaring and said that medication I got was the best they could do. I begged for a stronger pain med and you'd think I was asking for drugs to get high. I called the physical therapist I had to see prior that only made matters worse, but she was atleast sympathetic and said if it's that bad, go to ER. You'd think an orthopedic office would suspect SOMETHING when this much pain is going on. The next morning, I was in a fetal position in excruciating pain unable to move, my bladder felt it would burst as I was unable to make my way to the bathroom that morning til noon. Thank God my daughter grabbed a rolling office chair and slid me on to get to the bathroom. By that time, we called paramedics! I was in the end given THREE DOSES of Morphine in 5 hours at our local hospital!! That's how bad the pain was. Then Taken to CMH by another ambulance for an emergency MRI! I had Two "massive" (dr's words) herniated discs L5/S1 Sized at 10mm and 13mm. I had to get an immediate epidural and stay there for three days!! It was awful. ALL THIS could have been dealt with if I had an MRI from the get go! Insurance paid WAY more than they had to. And this office had no sympathy or even foresight to what is causing this pain! How could I be the only one this has happened to? I won't be back period! Things were drawn out painfully and I felt like I was just a patient in the system! Never again!!! A doctor I did like (Dr Nichols who took care of my mother in law) was helpful. But I could tell insurance rules this place. read more

11/18/23 The Ventura Orthoedics office is the worst. There are a lot of medical error postings in the doctors diagnosis that I reviewed when I requested paper copies to review. I feel like you need to have copies of your medical records ALL sent via paper for your review; my sister started going in 2021. The treatment and follow-ups were not good. It was very difficult at times to get into the doctor for treatment; even when you are expressing the serious nature of the patient and the pain involved Ventura Orthopedics has an urgent care doctor after hours that is basically semi retired doctor and works in the evening and at times very insulting remarks are directed at the patient, and he should retire. The staff was told about him. You don't talk to patients in this manner "you are an old lady" The MA for the doctors treating my sister never acknowledged emails, and this happened too many times, and I had to go to a supervisor to address the issue. Ventura Orthopedics does not always refer you to the doctor who is a specialist. A foot and ankle doctor was treating her, and she should have been referred to a doctor who was a specialist in shoulder/back issues. Dr. Pahalavan, a spine / surgeon doctor with Ventura Orthopedics.did surgery at CMH 8/22. After the surgery, we never saw or heard from him again; he was referred by Dr. Nickles at Ventura Orthopedics. My sister was at St. John's Rehabiliation Hospital for a month, and we never saw or heard from Dr.Pahlavan again; after many phone calls to his MA, I finally reached him. I complained to the management Dr. Pahalavan is no longer with Ventura Orthopedics or Mid Town Medical Specialty Group in Ventura I continued tracking him due to the seriousness of my sister's treatment. I found his new place of employment is Kaiser Permante in San Jose, CA. I plan on sending a letter, and this should be addressed with the State of California Medical Board. The other doctor whose office is in the Oxnard location is a Dr. Pierson, who is the rehabilitation director at St. John's Rehabiliation Hospital in Oxnard. His attitude was very bad; I sent a letter to his attention addressing his condescending attitude. He is very full of himself. Dr Pierson Let me know he has been doing this for 40 years and knows the doctors at Ventura Orthopedics. I was trying to give him updated information on my sister when she arrived 8/5/2022. If you want treatment, dont go here. I had Kaiser who gave me nothing but BS care the entire time I had them. Ive had back pain since 2017 and have been thrown to the side consistently because of it. Ive been told youre too fat lose weight, go to physical therapy, etc. I completed 6 mon. Physical therapy and completed multiple rounds of epidural injections. Flash forward: saw Dr. Diettel in hopes to get to the bottom of everything, only to get dismissed completely, and have everything told to you like youre flat out stupid. I explained to him that I was at their urgent care two Wednesdays ago for this pain, and that the xray tech working, plus 2 others saw a 6th vertebrae in my back. When i tried to bring this to his attention, Dr. Diettel completely disregarded me saying that he was "looking at the xrays and they seem fine". He also was very snippy at the fact that I didnt bring any records with me, despite me calling the office two days prior to my appointment and asking if i will need to bring those records, and they told me that they were outdated and wouldnt do much for the doctor. When I was explaining the treatment Kaiser provided, Dr. Diettel repeatedly said that they were directing "bad care", but when I showed him the reports, and explained my hesitancy in believing their results he just agreed with them outright. It made me feel like he would just rather get me out of his office than actually have to help me. He then asked me to bend to touch my toes, and when i stopped at waist level, he said something along the lines of "that's all you can do, you definitely should exercise more". When i explained thats where it hurt, once again i was met with a brush of "whatever" and he told me to keep losing weight and look to physical therapy AGAIN. When i explained that ive been losing weight and losing weight has only made my pain worse he said "thats your sign to lose more". Overall, Dr. Diettel is completely unprofessional and shouldnt be seeing any patients of any kind if he is continually being dismissive of their symptoms and needs. I left my appointments sobbing because he made me feel utterly stupid, and like my care meant nothing to him. Dont bother coming here if you want to actually get help, especially if youre on the heavier side, your pain will be laughed at and disregarded and youll never find any treatment that works because these doctors do not care. read more

I would have never decided to check the reviews had I not experienced Leslie who answered the phone and was so rude. She answered speaking like a roadrunner on the telephone she stated their fax machine is broken and I need to contact my medical provider and see if they can send me my referral directly to bring in with me for an appt. I had to ask her if she could slow down this is a doctor's office and I feel like I'm being rushed as I am a patient. I proceeded to ask her if that was something the office can do and have them email them since their fax machine is not working and her response was NO we are flooded with calls and we are too busy. I don't know what's happened in the last few years, the doctor blamed Covid for all the problems at his office. Covid should not be an excuse to be rude to patients. Some of their staff are rude (front office and surgery scheduler). Their computers were down for 3 months, they had no idea who had appointments or it looks months to get a bill. They were rude before the computers went down. I switched doctors and I am so glad I did. I knew they were unorganized, but I had no idea how unorganized until I switched doctors and saw how an organized office ran. My new doctor is amazing. Originally, I was just getting a second option. But once I realized how how organized and caring they were I switched. The doctor removed most of my meniscus and didn't tell me. I was bone on bone and in pain and refused to do an MRI. I'm sorry but I feel like all these reviews did not have the same Dr Gluck. I a slap in my shoulder which is torn cartilage from my joint and nerve damage. My life has been ruined from this injury I'm only getting worse and the staff were amazing while empathetic at this location. But Dr. Gluck was dismissive not listening that I'm flexible and even though could push my arm to go farther than my crying and wincing the entire time. He states "you're young you'll be fine. Slap isn't even a big deal everyone could be walking around with a slap tear and not even know." I've never been dismissed so hard with a bp of 150/90 then that evening ending up at the er for about the tenth time for this with bp of 170/110 from pain due to my slap tear in my shoulder and possible moderate rotator cuff tear. This place was like a drive thru Wendy's with this doctor quick fast. But with not being heard or cared for at all. Thanks you probably made it worse for pushing me way too far. read more

I have been having wrist pain in both wrists for many years. I visited Dr.Gluck for an examination and x-ray. He gave me a shot in both wrists which was very gently done. It eliminated all of the pain in both wrists for several months. Eventually my left wrist started having pain again and he gave me a second shot which also lasted for months. I was very glad that I went and visited Dr Gluck, and recommend him wholeheartedly. read more

They were very helpful in getting me in after an injury and they were also very helpful in getting an MRI done that same day. I appreciate that level of service. The problem is that the doctor and the PA gave conflicting information about how to proceed, so I stopped in the office to get the right answer. They charged me for when I came in to get a straight answer about what they recommended as a treatment, which was surgery. When I questioned the surgery they recommended, the doctor insisted that surgery had to be done. I went out and got two other second opinions and both second opinions strongly recommend against surgery. Over the past few months I have been contacting the office to ask them to waive the fee they charged for that second time I came in to get a clear communication about how to proceed. I asked for a refund because it was not a clinical visit, I was merely trying to get clarity as the doctor and the PA provided conflicting advice on voicemails and phone calls to me, and also the advice their doctor gave conflicted with two other doctors. The office has never returned my call. All of the staff say I need to talk to Veronica and her phone always goes to voice mail. I have left voicemail messages with her and left messages with staff, all to go unanswered. While I appreciate the quick service and access to the physician and the MRI, I am frustrated they insisted on a surgery deemed unnecessary by two other doctors and they cannot follow through as a business and return calls to a patient. This is pretty poor service. They are mailing me, texting me, basically harassing me to pay, but refuse to return a call or inquiry regarding the billing issues. read more

Left hip is swollen, painful (5-8,) cannot lift leg or climb stairs without an assist. Saw Dr. Husted in urgent care, and he referred me to spine specialist, although back does not hurt at present. I went to Ventura Ortho Urgent Care with a back injury. I was told I had 15 mins to see the doctor and could only "complain" about one thing even though I had a few things I thought might be related. I was told that would require separate 15 min appointments for each. I had my 10-15 mins with Dr Greg Senning, who prescribed steroids that didn't work, physical therapy that Ventura Ortho couldn't schedule to start for a month, and he wouldn't sign temporary disability "unless I was a surgical candidate." I called around and found a PT that could take me right away and he said he needed an MRI before he could treat me. I requested one from Dr Senning, who required I come in for another visit the following week before he would request an MRI. He had just seen me. I was injured, having a hard time getting around, out of work, running up medical bills, he wouldn't sign for disability, and wanted to push my treatment out as long as possible. I've never had such a bad experience with a doctor. I switched doctors and am now receiving the attention and care I would expect from every health professional. I will never go back to Ventura Ortho and highly recommend that you don't go either. read more

I am reviewing Ventura Orthopedics and Dr Quinn. I have had an amazing experience with staff and Dr Quinn. I think the key to my knee replacement success is the preparation they give you to succeed. The staff has called me back immediately when I had any concerns post operative. My neighbor also has seen Dr Quinn and we both had positive results. His assistants are on it in the pre operative stage . So by the time you have the surgery you have been preparing mentally and physically. Three weeks post op I am so glad I did the surgery. read more

Dr Gluck was my surgeon. Saw him the day of the surgery and one call two days after the surgery...That was it. After that it was his assistants, and thats a whole other story. Dr Gluck hasn't seen my hand since he did the work and I feel it was a botched job. It hasn't healed right, is discolored and crooked and still hurts. This is 7 weeks out. Again hasn't seen my hand in person since the day he did the work and just referred me to another doctor who I cant see for another month. Support staff needs an upgrade as well. Perhaps Im an anomaly but I would look elsewhere if you need work done. read more

Do not waste your time with this network of doctors. I broke my ankle in 3 places and had 1 fracture in my leg. Additionally, my ankle was severely dislocated. Had my initial appointment was 2 days after the accident including a x-ray and then CT scan a couple of days after that. It took a week to get back to me with a follow up appointment where they advised me that I need to go to an ankle specialist. Then the next week I had an appointment for pre-op surgery at which point I expected surgery to be in days. They were unable to schedule while I was there, I believe it was a Wednesday. I then did not hear from them for another 6 days to schedule the surgery, I made lots of unanswered calls in that time to get a date because I had to arrange work and family. When they finally called back, I was told it would be 2 days later, 20 days after the injury. At the end of this call, she causally asks me to pay the pre-op amount of $2400, I was perplexed. I have never been asked to pay for a surgery prior an op before, my daughter has had $100k in surgery though private facilities that I sold my house and paid for in full AFTER surgery. I asked to make payments, this request was denied, I was told to go back to the ER and go through the public system. I was refused surgery at the ER the 1st time when the accident happened and went back to the ER after and was told I would need a specialist surgeon which being how active I am, was exactly why I was going through VO to begin with. I then called VO 2 weeks later and explained that I would have the money ($2400) within 2 weeks and was refused surgery by the specialist and told to go back to the ER. The people I met within the surgery were lovely but this is no excuse that they delayed the surgery 3 weeks only to be told that I needed to pay $2400 upfront, days before surgery. They must be having trouble keeping the lights on since the thousands there were billing my insurance wasn't enough for surgery, the $2400 ws going to apparently break them. So now I sit here 5 weeks later, and I back to the beginning of my search for a surgeon. DO NOT WASTE YOR TIME WITH THIS MONEY HUNGER GROUP OF DOCTORS, I AM APPAULLED. read more

I've tried this place twice- once for my hand where I started out with Dr. Gluck whose staff is so lame it took them three weeks to call me back. By the time they did, I had already seen and scheduled my surgery with another doctor. The second time I was referred to Ventura Orthopedics it was for Dr. Pahlavan for my back. He was over an hour and a half late to my appointment and then was rude about it. I thought it was because he was stressed out. He barely made eye contact, barely examined my back, took one look at my fuzzy back xrays and referred me to an epiduralist who gave me a shot that left my leg numb for 6 months. The second time I saw Dr. Pahlavan after waiting over 4 weeks for a referral, I only had to wait 15 minutes for him. He was equally abrupt, short, impatient, no eye contact and could barely be bothered. He did explain my condition but it looked like he couldn't wait to get out of there. I had drawn some pictures to show him where the numbing was and he completely blew them off. I wanted to know if there was some kind of therapy I could do to strengthen my core that wouldn't hurt my back. He was abrupt, didn't mince words, totally impersonal. Rude even. I won't go back. I actually know of more horror stories about this place but they aren't mine to tell. All I can say is- for as much money as they are making- they'd better act a little more interested in what they are doing and not so bored and put out. read more
