After taking hours off of my work, driving through city's traffic, my husband picking up our daughters from 2 different schools, to arrive and to be told "No, we're sorry" It was my first appointment as a new patient. The day before the pickup appointment, they cancelled because they "didn't have the supplies." They didn't provide an estimate for when they would be ready to be picked up and then never contacted me again to reschedule or let me know they were ready to be picked up. When I called multiple times, it went to voicemail. I ended up emailing them and getting into contact with them finally, but their email response time was extremely slow too.

To back up a little bit, the public has to pay to see a podiatrist and there is a bit of snobbery between doctors and podiatrists. An initial consult costs $70 and subsequent visits cost $30. If your GP sends in a referral to the clinic, you pay nothing. Most podiatrists charge $70 per visit. Dr. To is an easy going, knowledgeable doctor who treats you like an intelligent human being. He feels very comfortable handling your feet and putting your socks on you and tying the laces. In my case, this was very much appreciated. After sending me for X-rays, an ultrasound and examining my bare foot, he diagnosed and made a plan. He treated me right there in the office (I fainted) and told me to come back in two weeks. What impressed me was that he sent his findings and treatment to my family doctor and gave me a copy for my files. The orthotics did help some, but I was certainly not cured. Second visit - my family Dr. advised me to go to a Podiatrist again because she diagnosed gout. Dr. Donovan, once again, did not touch my foot! He remained at a distance at all times and immediately told me I had a bunion because the foot isn't hot when I touch it. I went through blood tests to diagnose gout that involved 12 hours of fasting. He later told me that you can't really diagnose gout with blood tests because you must be in the middle of a flare up for it to show in your blood. I'm so glad I bothered fasting and standing in a medical center for 90 minutes! Third visit - my appointment was at 9 a.m. I arrived a few minutes early and found the Dr. and his assistant chatting and opening mail in the reception area. I sat watching them until I was taken back to a room at 9:10. When 9:20 finally came around and the Dr. wasn't with me yet, I simply walked out. I chatted with the receptionist on my way out saying that I can't believe I've been in there the whole time and he was just opening mail. She said my appointment isn't until 9:30, but whether that was my mistake or theirs (I have no idea) they should have advised me of this when I arrived before 9 a.m. As if I showed up 30 minutes early and I want to sit around while they open mail! I would never recommend this Dr. The visits are just odd!
