I have no idea why…read moreanyone in their right mind would want to be a podiatrist but I sure am glad these guys can put up with the corns, calluses and no doubt sweaty feet they deal with day in, day out. Having sustained a common, yet painful injury thanks to either (a) my elite sports training, or (b) wearing rubbish shoes*, I hobbled off to meet the lovely Emily. Emily put me at ease right away and provided excellent, common sense advice without the judgement I feared. She has offered easy to follow at-home exercises to help with the pain and pointed me in the direction of 'sensible shoes' that don't look like my 82 year old granny should be wearing them. Hopefully I don't have to visit here too often, but so glad I found them. *okay - it's mainly (b)....

I had…read morereally bad heel pain, i could hardly stand up in the morning and training was proving really difficult. He gave me arch supports, exercises and great advice about footwear. Within a couple of weeks i was feeling better and was almost pain free by the marathon. I wish i had gone to see Stephen earlier, i would definitely recommend hi, if you have any concerns about your feet.

Paid over $100 for a delux pedi which promises a little bit of pampering with a medical pedicure…read more I suppose I am paying for a podiatrist trimming my toenails but I just found the pampering bit lacking. Weak ass scrub on my feet, 5 mins of toenail trimming and 10 mins of removing dry skin then the podiatrist put a collagen mask on my feet and left me sitting for half an hour. My feet did feel smooth but only for a day. I have got rough heels again :( Thank goodness my health fund rebated some of it. Without the added benefit of a nail polish it just felt like I have nothing to show for.

While a pedicure is most people's solution, if you want the REAL DEAL visit a podiatrist where they get out medical scalpels and other neat stuff to buff your feet in to oblivion. Those babies are going to be so soft afterwards, trust me. This place will even paint your toenails for a full medical pedicure that ensure you look good and don't risk picking up some gross foot fungus that can be common in nail salons who don't clean their tools properly.

However, there seemed to be an undercurrent of a certain arrogance typical of some Caucasians. During one of the treatments, we talked about a cat I had as a child that was killed by a cruel person. Out of nowhere, she asked, 'Do people in your country eat cats?' I was shocked. I had thought she was well-educated and would not ask a question reflecting such outdated perceptions from the 1990s. Her words truly hurt me. After that, her attitude towards me became strange, making me feel uncomfortable. Every minute I spent in her clinic after that was agonising. Such harmful language has made me feel like I can no longer communicate with others. Just because I come from a different country, should I be asked such strange questions? This is a severe violation of the ethical standards a doctor should uphold
