You're looking at anywhere between $30-$50 per person for an unforgettable massage. If you pay cash it's always cheaper than paying with card and having to pay additional fees. This is against the law, as taxes should be calculated based on the amount actually paid (the Groupon price). I tried to address the issue, but it was clear they weren't interested in correcting the error, I was recommended to cancel my Groupon. I feel this is both unethical and misleading. The only two issues I have is the rooms are not private as the walls don't go to the ceiling and there is no door to the room, only a sheet. The folks that work there can be heard in the back talking among themselves, which doesn't always provide a relaxing atmosphere. Staff members (including a masseur named Mr. Cao) were able to successfully locate my account using both my membership card number and my phone number. Refresh Spa II later closed permanently. However, they posted a closure notice explicitly stating that unused sessions could be redeemed at partner locations, including Refresh Massage Spa at 123 Smith St, Brooklyn, NY. On June 4, 2026, at 2:30 PM, I visited the 123 Smith St location to redeem a remaining session. Staff refused service, claiming my card number and phone number were not in their notebook. I presented Card #40 and explained my account had been verified during previous visits. I asked to speak with a manager and requested copies of my membership records, but staff refused both requests and stated no records were available. The business is violating the written commitment provided in their closure notice. Resolution Requested: Immediate fulfillment of the remaining 7 prepaid 60-minute sessions at the designated partner location or another authorized location, as promised. A complete copy of all membership records, visit history, and service records for Card #40. If the business claims no records exist--despite previously verifying my account to provide service--this indicates a gross failure by the company to maintain adequate customer and service tracking.
