Foothill Ranch Elementary currently has over 1,100 students, way beyond its designed capacity of 650, by adding modular classrooms. Traffic is horrible during the drop-off and dismissal periods. Parents are filling parkings at the FR public library, Borrego Park, and neighborhood streets, yet it is an hour gridlock in the morning and the afternoon. Police officers have been seen on-site to keep traffic moving and give citations, and the crossing guard did her best to keep pedestrians safe. Summer 2023 FRE underwent a major renovation that lasted the entire Summer. It now has a digital marquee that shuts off at 6pm. Fall 2023 FRE got a new principal, transferred in from Serrano Intermediate School. FRE was a California Blue Ribbon school once upon a time. I hope it can achieve academic excellence again soon. read more

Oh my god this school is so terrible I went to this school last year before transferring to homeschool, and MY GOD that has made my life so much better. First of all, the people there literally suck. The staff don't do anything about bullying or let alone anything! My teacher sucked so hard she was BAD. She would give us so much work but she wouldn't teach us how to do any of it! She would just throw it at us and made us figure it out. I get kids are mean but oh my lord these kids are a different BREED. How does one acquire such racism?! I seriously feel like they let anyone teach at this point. Not to mention, the supervisors are so rude. Do they let anyone just walk on campus and be like "ey I want a job"?! Whether your child is sick or not, make sure you're speaking with another staff member, not the so-called nurse in the health office, by the name of Onion. This woman calls parents if a kid skips a step as if it's a medical emergency and they're transferring them to ICU (god forbid). We received a doctor's note yesterday stating that my child is cleared to attend school tomorrow. The next day, four hours after my kid had been in school, Onion called me, shouting to pick him up right away. What happened I said. OH, it hasn't been 24 hours yet, and the doctor's note doesn't count. WHAT? She proceeded to yell and scream, I mean SCREAM, and she said that she's going to hold my son in the corner office until he's bored out of his mind!! Thereby, holding my kid hostage in her dungeon until he's picked up. She stated she would call the district, then she slammed the phone down (in front of my son). Fortunately, she mentioned the district, so I called them too. I spoke with the "real" nurse & she was shocked that the doctor's note was disregarded and my son was forced to sit in that 4 by 4 room and wait to be picked up. The district called the school, and thankfully, they were able to pull him out of her claws and return him to his class. It was 22 hours after he vomited due to going a little overboard with consuming fruit. There was no mention of fever, because he didn't have any. Both my thermometer and the one in the doctor's office showed a temperature of 98°F. He was just fine. Another staff member, who was obviously trying to back up the crazy nurse, said that my son had a temperature of 99.5°F. Ya right? I suppose the other three thermometers, including the one in the doctor's office, are all incorrect. So this staff member is downplaying it by giving me a bogus temperature, even though it's below 100 anyway. This woman single-handedly threw everything out of proportion, causing escalation from the staff in the admin office and four others in the district office, and for what? Just to make a point as an authority figure. And once she was proved wrong, she retreated back to her own prison. Stay away from Onion; she stinks. I felt so bad for my child, probably thinking, 'What on earth is going on, and why are the grown-ups treating him this way. As if over 1,100 kids in this school are below 100°F. I dare you to take all the kids' temperatures. I filed a complaint against nurse Onion; although I may not follow up on it, they need to take action against this incompetent & vicious individual. Anyone can just walk on campus this place needs to be more secured. Especially the back of the school there needs to be staff there in the mornings. Not just to lock the gate after the bell rings. My son who is autistic left campus because he got confused where to go. I Informed school about it, and they didn't seem too concerned. Front office staff not very friendly. If your child has an IEP, I'd really reconsider going somewhere else. I transferred my child to a Charter school and it was the BEST decision I've made. He has done a complete 360. Especially with his academics. Just because the area is nice doesn't mean that the school will be. read more

Hello I came here last year and now here's my real experience from someone who spent their entire elementary year here and pretty much it is horrible the principals don't take responsibility for anything and one of the supervisors named Mrs Raz should be in prison because she barges into the boys bathroom and kicks everybody out even the innocent ones and I also don't like this school because they make such a big deal about everything and one time me and my friend were just wrestling a bit then one of the teachers caught this then went on to say we had a fight they we both said what actually happened and we told them all was well but we got a in house suspension even though we told them we were fine and didn't have any problems at all and I think the new remodel is horrible and they didn't even do anything at all they just repainted everything and added a new building and that's is but they don't focus on any of the playground equipment which is old and half the stuff is probably older then the school itself and one time some homeless person came into the office then we all had to be scolded by Mrs raz to move also Mrs Harrison was horrible she would bully me and my friend and I don't wanna say any names and she would throw pencils at me and my friend and I had some program called a 504 where I could leave and go to the Bathroom whenever I wanted and she didn't listen to it at all and would yell and embarrass me when I would leave and make it a huge deal when it wasn't and I'm really disappointed in this school and I'm glad I'm now in middle school but if I were you I wouldn't go here at all read more

The reasons I'm writing this is because my daughter is still going through nightmares. This Foothill Ranch Elementary school has damage my daughter's life. I'll tell you what really happened to my child. During her years at this school, one of the girls who is also a student, she took my daughter's notebook and started passing around in classroom and when my daughter got up and ask to give it back she got in trouble by the teacher and the teacher told my daughter to seat down or else she'll get in trouble. Now, what happened to the girl who took the notebook? How come she didn't get in trouble? Well noting happened to her because she was a popular kid. Now let's ask ourselves why are the teacher not punishing the other kid who took my daughter's notebook? This happened in the classroom and the teacher is an adult my daughter was only 12 years old, why is the teacher allowing bullying? This is not ok! We as parents counting on our teachers to protect our child who is a student in times like this. Another time boys will says things to my daughter that she will die alone and she'll never be happy or get married. Now this goes to all parents out there. Do you spend time with your kids at dinner table? Or you just don't have dinner with your kids because you're to busy and this is the outcome of your children bullying other kids. Bullying will never going to stop if you parents are not going to put any affect in your child's life and teacher as long you don't care what's going on and not protecting your students this awful patern will continue. They lost my son So my worst nightmare came to life today at this program called "kids factory" at foothill ranch elementary school. My son is 5 and is autistic he can talk but is still too young to speak up for himself. We paid $177 for our son to be watched for only an hour on minimum days. I'm not asking for much, you don't need to teach him, you barely need to play with him, all I ask is that you keep him alive! But I guess that's too much to ask for from 4 adults in kids factory. When I showed up to kids factory after school, I was asked to return to my car for my id. I said"sure, but can I first see where my son is?" I looked all over the playground and didn't see my son. The staff member (keifer) went over to two other staff members asking where my son was and they both shrugged their shoulders without a care in the world. At this point I'm frantic and the staff members aren't even looking for my son! I'm screaming my sons name at the top of my lungs running though the playground... I still can't find him. I am frantic and losing my mind and the staff couldn't care less that my son is GONE! One staff member even had the nerve to say he's not in my group‍. I look over at the parking lot and see my son with my husband. My husband tells me he found my son (Kiki) walking through the parking lot sad saying that he is lost and everyone was mad at him! My son could have been taken or hit by a car... The WORST could have happened to my angle whom we work extremely hard to protect and keep safe. I later received a call from the supervisor (Tasha) she acknowledged that this was inexcusable but really could only say "sorry". I was expecting her to say this has never happened or would never happen again but she didn't. She told me that this has happened before with another special needs child. And when I gave her suggestions to make sure it never happens again she didn't acknowledge or say that they would be able to do anything. The entire staff is not trained... they are clearly not asked if they actually care about our children. They are simply warm bodies getting paid minimum wage to stand there and do nothing! I can not believe that this is a service that parents use. We trust these people to keep our kids safe and they FAILED! SHAME ON EVERYONE INVOLVED IN THIS KIDS FACTORY! read more

Teachers are nice everyone is nice but the administration office, back before when mr mcKnevin was a principal things were so much better now with this new principal id say their ruling is ass and so is the assistant principal they blame my son for everything and let those white kids run their mouths it's already happened 5 times where the kids do something and my son happens to be apart of it, but she blames ONLY MY SON when it was those kids who started everything. i am tired of Mrs Stevenson and mrs shaver and their very biased punishments, my hope for this elementary is gone once they change different people from this office. read more

I went to this school and I loved it. The teachers were so nice and caring. The after school programs were great too.
