Bus Transit center on Foothill Blvd. at Foothill Square
    David S.

This is a cool shopping center - and since I'm a regular bus rider, this shopping center is also a Transit Center for AC Transit - bus lines 34, 35, 45, 57, and 90. As far as transit centers go, this one is far cleaner and safer than either Eastmont Mall transit center and Bayfair BART station (bus area), IMO.

This plaza offers a great variety of businesses and is generally well kept. There's lots of parking as well, which is a huge plus.

Being an older…read moredisabled person it takes me longer to do my shopping and I often have to take breaks in my vehicle between visiting the different stores. This hadn't been a problem in the past. However, recently the property management has taken a turn for the worse with parking enforcement now routinely banging on my vehicle and telling me there's a 2 hour time limit, even though there are no signs posted saying such. I do drive a larger vehicle because my disability requires me to lay down and take a break when needed. This may be the reason I'm targeted, because I might appear outwardly to be a financially struggling "homeless" person. I've seen numerous other "regular" looking vehicles parked for hours on end and they aren't subjected to the same harassment. It's a shame because I used to shop here frequently - even if it took me half a day to get all my shopping done. I guess they're harassment tactics and targeting of those who appeared to be financially disadvantaged is designed to help them reach some appearance proper middle class social status. And though my inclination is probably what they want, to just take my business elsewhere, I think I may still come here to shop while putting my disabled placard in the window and letting them knock their knuckles to their hearts content.

I do not even like Starbucks here... And I used to frequent them often. I did find a few shirts I liked at Marshalls, but did not buy as I just have way too many. Discovered Tesla charging stations "hidden" in the rear of the center, see picture. I have to admit, when we did NOT know better approximately 20 years ago, we used to come here often. But the environment has changed, and not for the better. Way busier, more car break-ins, more poor drivers, etc. And really no brands that I personally shop. Plus, we now have the Livermore outlets! Which is still my favorite! Atmosphere - 23 businesses, see website. Crazy busy on weekends. Limited parking. Potential car break-ins; see parking lot signs. Public restrooms near Starbucks, good luck. You do not even have a rideshare drop off/pick up area. Open 7 days a week. Service - Depends on where you shop. Price - Outlet pricing. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 1998, we have been customers since then.

Great place for small business. Parking is horrible Pay parking from like 7-6pm or something. Even on weekends, which sucks since you think you pay eating at the restaurants, it be free like most places. Best advice is to go across the street to Safeway or the other business since those lots aren't charging. Even the street parking near pelton plaza is charging. But other plaza don't. The enforcers circle the lot and only this lot only. Went to go pick up my drinks, left a minute. Came back for a ticket. Looks like they stake out to check if drivers leave for a moment and ticket them right away. Watch them patrol the plaza, they don't leave, just circle the same plaza and watch. It's got a prime location right next to the I-880 & I-238 freeway junction. Why is it called "Greenhouse" Marketplace? Because before this triangular piece of land was developed into a shopping center, it was the home of rows of greenhouses. You could see them from the freeway. Long rows of glass topped greenhouses. Today it's home to a variety of stores, shops, and restaurants. It's a nice place to stop and take a break while passing thru town. Anchor stores include- Safeway, CVS, and FoodMaxx. What's negative about this place? There are some empty storefronts. The parking lot has a weird design. It probably looked fine on paper, but in reality, it's like "free style" driving. Cars are coming from different directions and there seems to be a lack of stop signs and/or traffic flow signage. Then some people think it's okay to just drive across empty parking spaces. I've never had a problem because I always stop before someone runs into me. But if you are in the area of Lewelling Blvd & I-880, drop by and visit the Greenhouse Marketplace. If you enter from Washington Ave, you will be greeted by a McDonalds and a Jack in the Box. Lots of free parking!
