My hubby and I toured the facility and met the manager, and the resident doctor. The first impression was how clean it was, and how friendly the staff was. Mom said the food was better than UT. I noticed many senior employees, which is great cause I also am a senior. Like to see them mentoring the younger employees.Everyone had a smile, and were super kind. I think this will be a home run for mom. There are lots of activities. Wheel chair races, beautiful yard, rockers on the front porch, music playing people singing. Very secure, code to push to get in the front door. Greeter in office.

Physical Therapy did a good job, but was a bit haphazard in their scheduling. We had a multidisciplinary meeting on our second day in which they asked about preferences, scheduling, goals, and other personalized items. None of these seemed to make it to my father's routine. Each time I mentioned one of these items, the person involved claimed no one ever told them. Nursing care was horrendous. There are a few, very patient oriented CNAs who were much appreciated and carried most of the patient care burden. The nurses taking care of my father were completely uninformed, mostly disinterested, and bordering on incompetent. They seemed to have no idea what had happened the previous shift. It is as though they either don't write patient care notes, or they don't bother to read them. My father had a complication from a nursing procedure and had to be returned to the hospital for surgery. After his recovery from surgery, he made the decision not to return and enter hospice care. If there are any medical issues with your loved one, I would consider other facilities and not be swayed by the beautiful building and grounds. If you are in need of a short rehab stay and are able to manage your own needs, its a great place.

The facility itself is beautiful and clean but the care my mother received was horrible. We waited over 3 hours for her to be put to bed. We were instructed not to move her because she had a fractured hip. She has stage 4 esophageal cancer and was on a liquid diet but repeatedly they would bring her solid foods ( one of many disappointments in this facility). Thank God for UT Hospice ( Steven) they were wonderful during this horrific time.

Five years ago, I dropped my drug-addicted husband off at Cornerstone, a $35,000 program for which…read moremy insurance and I paid. I wish I had listened to the many Cornerstone professionals (like Scott and Lin) who told me how hard life was going to be with my husband's many psychological issues they diagnosed accurately within the first week. Their advice to me was to divorce him because he would never be faithful, never be truthful, never be ethical, never be compromising, and NEVER care for anyone but himself. He suffered from Narcissistic Personality Disorder, severe abandonment issues, severe codependency, pathological lying, and many other serious mental disorders, they told me. Being newly married and pregnant (a non-viable pregnancy because of my husband's long-time and serious drug abuse), I stayed by his side. Five years later, we are divorced. Six months after he began working as a pharmacist again, he stole drugs from work, powdered them, cooked them, and shot them intravenously in our bathroom. (I secretly reported him for this, but his pathological lying got him out of two program-ordered urine tests.) A month after that, he filed a lawsuit to evict his own mother from the family farm that was in his name. (It didn't work, and now he is estranged from his mom's family.) Six months later, he began an extramarital affair with his married technician. Then he made false reports to 911 to try to have me evicted from our house. (He was arrested and evicted instead.) A year later, he has lost his pharmacist license permanently and is working fast food drive-thru. He is also facing criminal charges for harassment, intimidation, HIPAA violations, and CSMD violations. This may sound like anything but a success story for Cornerstone, but my husband's failures were not Cornerstone's fault but his own. The mental health professionals quickly and accurately diagnosed him, told us both hard truths, did their due diligence to help him, and supported him in getting his professional medical license reinstated. They afforded him every opportunity to change. My review is to thank Cornerstone for trying to help my husband. My review is also for family members to understand Cornerstone is a reputable rehabilitation facility, not a magic pill. Success ultimately depends on the patient. Cornerstone is a superbly staffed and operated drug rehab program.

Since…read morethe change in ownership and management within the past year, conditions have not improved. The kitchen staff lacks customer service skills, and their manager is rarely visible on the floor to engage with residents or seek feedback on their dining experience. Rather than leading by example, he treats the staff as though he is above them, missing opportunities to inspire a cohesive, motivated team working toward a shared goal. Unfortunately, he appears to use his position without striving to improve food quality, pricing, or the overall resident experience. It's truly surprising that he remains in charge, and the fact that the executives continue to support him suggests they, too, are not invested in residents' satisfaction. I do not recommend Asbury Place. Please reconsider before sending your loved ones here.

His wound he developed on his rear end was the worst one a hospice nurse had seen in her 20+ years working by her words. They never turned him, starved him by him being a feeder and not assisting him with meals, and dehydrated him. They are horrible nurses, no empathy, and I can prove it with pics of his bed sore. Do NOT send your loved one there if you care for them at all. I have to live with that decision to send my dad there the rest of my life.
