Home Instead Senior Care used high pressure sales tactics on my single 86 year old mother to sign a…read morecontract. They were told by my mother that see wanted to try the service and see if it was a good fit. They charged $130 for a health care evaluation for there own baseline. They secured a security deposit for 2 weeks of service @ 8 hours per week 16 hours total. There home health care aid had no cooking skills, was not herself health conscious and provied little or no amenable care other than to chat up my mother @ $32/hr. After 4 days of 4 hours of service my mother decided it was not a good fit and called Home Instead to cancel services. 4 days latter they withdrew another 2 weeks pay out of my mothers account of which my mother had reversed. Then they then sued us in Superior Court for none payment. There was no phone call from Home Instead to discuss the matter or fined a resolution. This company was a predator and created a-lot of unnecessary stress when it can to my mother and our family!

This Home Instead in Ocean County NJ treats my mother like she is one of their own. Since I live in Utah and my mom is in NJ, It is very comforting to know that she has people looking after her and acting as extended family; they are considerate, kind, respectful and trustworthy. I highly recommend this company. It is a difficult thing to watch our parents age and need help: this Home Instead in Ocean County makes a difficult situation easier.

Instead of telling a potential customer to get their facts straight, perhaps the responder should make sure their facts or straight, or that they're responding to the right review. Clearly the company needs to brush up on proper business practice and understand how to respond properly without making themselves look worse on Yelp. Very rude respond to a complaint about an employee. Anyone curious about how this company operates with their customers can look at the response to my previous review.
