This company has provided consistently reliable medical transportation for an elderly relative of mine for the last six months. The drivers have been prompt and courteous. They're also very busy. If you need a cab, call their dispatch as far in advance as you can to arrange your ride. read more

NEVER USE THIS CAB COMPANY! After leaving a Seaside club on Halloween night, there was a Mantoloking taxi cab waiting on the corner. I asked the driver if he was waiting for anyone that made a call and he said no. I asked him if he was able to take us and he said yes. Our distance was less than 10 miles (the Shoprite on 37). He called the dispatcher and asked for the price, it was 35$! I demanded why it was so much money for a short distance, and his reply was "we are based out of Mantoloking", I said, "You were waiting in Seaside, I didn't place a call for you". There's also no meter in the cars to determine mileage for price, so the dispatcher just gave an amount. I called the next day to "place" a call from Bamboo to my location for later on that night and to asked the price. The dispatcher priced it at 25$. I then asked, "Great, why was I charged 35$ last night?" Her reply was, "Oh, you're doing some super spy shit, aren't you??" I then asked for her name, her boss' name and her response was yelling and screaming at me saying I'm attacking her.. Needless to say, THIS COMPANY TOOK ADVANTAGE OF THEIR COSTUMERS ON A HOLIDAY, WHEN WE DID THE RIGHT THING AND USED THEIR SERVICES INSTEAD OF DRIVING DRUNK. The absolute worst! It was explained when the pick up was scheduled that the client is a caregiver for an elderly person and I was assured that the driver would be wearing a mask. The Driver on more than one occasion shows up not wearing a mask during height of pandemic and asks if client wants to sit in front seat. I had an horrible experience with Mantoloking taxi(ace taxi) wich is the same company,I called around 3 pm for a cab to get to work(4pm),the lady on the phone told me that it's gonna take about 15/20 mins which is perfect,around 3:35 I called again to make sure my cab is coming,the lady she goes:oh I'm sorry but I don't have anything yet available,15/20 more mins I said to her:miss you know very good that I must be at work at 4,i have to mention my rode to work it's about 15/20 mins She told me that it's my responsibility,that I should've call early to make an appointment blah blah blah No way!!!i call a cab when I need a cab,idk in the morning I I will need a cab or not. Around 4:15 pm(I was late to work already) i called again and she's told me that she has nothing available for me,I freaked out then,this is ridiculous,this CANNOT happen people,we are in 2014,you cannot lie to people like that,at 3 pm you say 15/20 mins and at 4:15 pm you say that you don't have nothing available. Let not mention how rude that lady she was on the phone,she should be fired,you cannot talk to customers like that.i spend every week over 200$ in taxi and I'm not gonna let this happen again. This service has 3 dispatchers 2 accurate helpful women that are friendly and consistant with approx. arrival and a jerkoff of a man who will always tell you 20 minutes and the car will not arrive for atleast and hour to an hour and a half later. I frequent this taxi service due to its location but I think it's time for a change. read more

We recently used Mantoloking Taxi for a last minute trip to Newark Airport...actually to an airport hotel. They were great, very friendly, helpful and courteous. They were able to pick up our cousin quickly and get her there safely and timely. The vehicle looked pretty new and was in excellent condition. The driver was wonderful. In the past, this service worked well for me, but this time around the car had broken seat belts in the back and they were very confusing and inaccurate about how to pay. This was a large fare (going to newark airport from jersey shore) and i had three young children with me, so broken seat belts were not going to work for us. We ended up leaving late, and when I called later to complain they were totally unresponsive and could care less about these concerns. Do not use this service if you need to transport children! My parents needed a car service to go from Manchester to Bergen County for a doctor's appointment. They were very specific as to what there needs were. They were told that they would get a sedan which was the type of car that they desired due to the level of comfort that they needed because of various ailments. The charge was $400 round trip which they agreed upon. A regular taxi shows up and it wreaks of cigarette smoke. They immediately told the driver that they were promised a sedan and needless to say he claimed that they didn't have one available. Needless to say - it went downhill from there. The level of customer service and disregard for what was originally promised was inexcusable. After alot of back and forth and stress they did provide a small discount but that was after my mother stood up for herself and my dad. I am so upset and disappointed at this situation and would warn anyone to considers this service to BEWARE - MOVE-ON! read more

PLEASE READ THIS. I write this review as I sit out in the rain, having got off my job about an hour and a half ago I find myself stranded here. I called mantoloking taxi shortly after nine o'clock when my shift ended they said it'd be a 20 to 30 minute wait. After waiting around 50 minutes I called back and the charming woman at the desk told me it'd be another ten minutes and thatd be ok before promtly hanging up on me. I tried to call her back and tell her this was, in fact not ok, we had agreed upon a different time but she immediately resorted to screaming at me, insisting she had said an hour all along. Now if this were my only incident with mantoloking taxi I'd eventually look by it and move on. However, not owning a car I have little other choice but to call every time the weather is poor, I've called them enough to know that their rates fluctuate for seemingly no reason at all, especially when it's a driver I've never had or if I have been out drinking. These people are CON ARTISTS. Don't be like me, be smart and take an uber, and let this trash heap die out like God intended. read more

Will never use them again ! They failed to pick me up at a location before and they said they would give me a free ride because my taxi never come to got me ! Tried to use my free ride they told me they did not own me anything ! I called the next day to talk to a manager they said they would call me back and now it's been two weeks and no call back . If I call on Monday or Tuesday there is a 2 hour wait time for the last 8 times. She lies about the wait time. Totally unreliable and nor do they care. I know that because they'll hang up. They don't feel like maintaining their vehicles and taking care of their stressed out employees. Little do they know there competition U**R has a great app, punctual and half the cost without any of said aggravation. Customers first, guys. read more
