Our experience with Footprint Floors was a complete waste of money, compelling me for the first time to warn potential customers about Footprint Floor's gross incompetence and lack of professionalism. Initially, "Tom" (the contractor) and "Luis" (the worker) projected an image of competence and concern for our home and vision, misleading us into feeling confident in our choice of company. By the end this feeling was completely gone. Before leaving our home, we had explicitly and carefully chosen a grey color for our floors. Upon our return 3 days later, we found the floors to be unmistakably brown. Furthermore, our walls were stained and marked, and our lights wouldn't turn on because the breaker switch had been turned off and left unscrewed on the floor, demonstrating a blatant disregard for our property. When we contacted the company to address these issues, we agreed to meet at 12:30. They arrived 30 minutes late. When they finally showed up, we voiced our concerns to Tom, who exhibited a shocking lack of accountability and professionalism. Before the painting had started, we repeatedly asked Luis about whether the color would change once the project was done, he assured us multiple times that it would stay EXACTLY the same. When confronted about the brown color, Luis absurdly claimed he told us the wood would look "more lively" (whatever that meant) and then had the audacity to laugh in our faces. Both Tom and Luis stubbornly refused to acknowledge the glaring color discrepancy, absurdly insisting it was the EXACT same as we had chosen. They bluntly stated there was nothing they could do about it. Given their blatant denial of the obvious color difference, discussing the other issues we had was pointless. Ultimately, I had to tell Tom and Luis to leave my house as I could no longer stand them. I begrudgingly paid and spoke to "Terrance," the project manager, who offered a feeble and insincere apology before leaving. After they were gone, my girlfriend and I were left feeling extremely frustrated and stressed. What began as a seemingly positive experience morphed into a nightmare, revealing that none of the people there actually cared about addressing our concerns. Footprint Floors is, without a doubt, the worst company I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. Their sheer lack of professionalism, accountability, and blatant disregard for customer satisfaction is appalling. This company caused us immense distress and frustration and I strongly urge everyone to avoid Footprint Floors at all costs.

We had also wanted to replace the ceramic tiling in our bathroom and 2 other contractors gave us bids around $1000 just to remove that existing tile. Matt told us we should leave it in because it was nice ceramic tile and if we were to ever sell the house, the ceramic tile would be more desirable than the LPV we wanted to put in the bathroom. He could have made a lot of money off us removing the tiling and replacing it with a lesser quality product, but he didn't. The day the flooring was delivered to our house it was obvious that the wrong flooring was delivered. Matt immediately checked the style number and was able to determine the makers of the flooring had made an error. Since we had already put all our furniture in another room Matt offered to give us a break on the price. The installation was done by Alex who is not only outstanding at laying flooring, but he's a hoot to talk with. I would use these guys in a heartbeat for any future flooring needs.

They went above and beyond to track it down from a supplier in the U.S., got it shipped quickly, and kept me informed every step of the way. They were incredibly responsive, helpful, and genuinely committed to making sure I got what I needed. I will absolutely be using them again!

I'm writing this about 2 years after having flooring installed on the entire downstairs of our…read morehouse. You'd think that having flooring installed would be a one-and-done type of thing, but we've had to go back and forth with McCool's for the past 2 years. It's been exhausting. The first time, we had issue with our floor planks separating just a couple of months after it was installed. We called them right away when we noticed the boards coming apart, and they ghosted us. Emails, phone calls, voice mails -- we could not get anyone to respond to us or acknowledge the issue. Finally, after calling their corporate office, we got someone to respond. We had to be persistent and forceful to get them to even respond to us, which is absurd. They said they'd send a contractor out to inspect. It was determined that the flooring was defective. OK ... so you sold us defective product? By this point we're livid but also tired of seeing our crappy, brand new floors that are coming apart, so we just wanted it fixed. The entire flooring had to be ripped up and replaced. Cut to several months later. Our second set of floors have been in about four months, and we noticed that there is an area of the floor that bows when you step on it. What in the ever living hell? How is it that we're finding more problems with this floor? So we had to contact McCool's yet again. Again, we had to play their game where they didn't respond for a long time until we started to involve corporate. A couple weeks later, they send someone out to fix the bowing. It turns out the contractor that McCool's originally sent to install our second set of floors did not do something they were supposed to do to reinforce the floor. It's been a few months since this second (and hopefully final?) incident with our floors. I'm hoping that we never have to deal with McCool's ever again. I get that mistakes happen during flooring projects -- that's not my primary issue with McCool's. It's the fact that, after we discovered the mistakes in our flooring, McCool's would not return our calls and voice mails to try to make the situation right without us having to go up the ladder and involve corporate, or without us having to leave multiple messages and follow up with them continually. That's incredibly bad customer service, and it's incredibly frustrating.
