Full disclosure I came for 3 or so appointments. My physiotherapist came to a similar conclusion about my injury as my family doctor had, which was a positive first sign. From there, I felt like I barely saw my physiotherapist and when I did, she seemed rushed. A half hour appointment would consist of having ultrasound and TENS machines used on my knee (TENS machine is you lying alone in a room with the TENS machine for 15 minutes), so I'd have human contact for literally 5 minutes out of the half hour I was there. It just didn't seem worth the money and most importantly, the time spent. Any physiotherapist can give you exercises to do, but it takes the right one to truly be invested in your care, spend the time with you and ensure you're making progress week after week. All in all I felt like this clinic relied way too much on the use of ultrasound and TENS machines (at least for my particular injury), and the lack of person-to-person care made me take my bum knee elsewhere.

She gave me some tips on stretches and recommended maintenance sessions in 4-6 weeks. Best part is that there wasn't a lot of oil used, just enough for treatment so I could get dressed and not feel weird for the rest of the day if you are headed back to the office! The office - make no mistake that this is a treatment facility and not a spa so yes chatter could be heard while I was getting my massage so you should be aware of this. Form filing, payment etc is SO efficient and they are on top of it. Direct billing is possible and where not, they advise you. Will be back!

Eunice was helpful in arranging my window view, I had asked for an ocean view however that choice was not available. The nurses were all very helpful and pleasant and it was very evident that they are a tight team. Kevin, Imelda, Sylent, Yitayew, Cathy and Michelle were all excellent , just to name a few. My PT Alex and my OT Mandana were responsible for getting me from very little leg movement to walking with some assistance and I owe them a great debt of gratitude for getting me to where I am today. The Drs. Rush, Druzin and Sachar came in and checked with me each day to make sure that I was being well looked after. The food was pretty good as well, hot and quite tasty for the most part. And last but not least was Chelsea, who was most helpful with information as well as arranging my follow up appointment with Dr. Badhiwala, my neurosurgeon. My husband was referred to St. John's Rehab Hospital almost 4 weeks after a motorcycle accident,…read moreand after spending 6 days in ICU at Sunnybrook, 6 days in the trauma unit at Sunnybrook and 12 days at the Uxbridge Hospital while waiting for a space in Rehab. He had excellent care in all 3 locations. Doctors, nursing staff, physio and OT, and the social worker at St. John's were all excellent, caring, thoughtful people who saw Peter as an individual, and not just as an 81-year-old man. They all worked hard to help him achieve his goals; and he is now home after 8 weeks in hospital, and continuing his therapy. We will always be grateful for the care he received at St. John's. Also a thank you to James Brydges, who took the time to teach us about the gardens behind the hospital, and to Mother Joanne who visited Peter frequently.

From the moment you walk in the door, you are greeted by such a pleasant receptionist and this mood permeated to all the staff. I just want to make a special mention to my physiotherapist (Ms. Parmar) and her assistant. Their professional attitude and knowledge about my condition helped to relay any anxiety that I may have had about my treatment and outcomes. They both always took the time to ensure that I received a thorough treatment including exercises, ultrasound and TENS treatment. (And I can't forget to mention the soothing warm packs that were always applied to the involved areas, to ensure my comfort). Loved this! I always looked forward to my treatments knowing that when I leave, I would be in better condition than when I arrived. I am a retiree from the Nursing profession and I am fully aware of the professionalism and dedication that is required from health care practitioners when treating patients in a health care setting, so all I can say is...... He was able to locate my stress points were and why they were affecting different parts of my body. He focused on my most knotty areas (heh!) and I will be booking a follow up appointment with him to continue working out these areas. Tip: The health centre is upstairs. Her skills are beyond exceptional. I get relief, exercises to help myself and learn about the places my muscles get 'sticky'. Michele never suggests return visits unless she knows my body will require one. I have also worked with a number of her physiotherapists and there's no doubt that the standards for excellence at this clinic are extremely high. My results speak for themselves as I often can't recall for sure which side of my body or exactly which place in my body I sought treatment. As a long time yoga teacher, I know my body and pay attention when something is out of alignment. Their fees are on the high side but one can waste a lot of time and money seeking less expensive therapy and not get the results you want to get on with life. Trust me. I know.
