Dr. Shauger has gone out of her way to explain things, get me started fast on a new procedure to get my foot treated and already within a few weeks we are seeing major results. She has even come out to my house because it is hard for me to get around, that dedication and willingness to help me get healed you don't find everywhere. A very simple foot surgery turned into the most painful ordeal of my life requiring an additional surgery and months of excruciating rehab. He was totally unsympathetic and unresponsive. After first surgery he made his usual follow up call. My daughter told him that I was in so much pain that I could not speak, and he never called back. I am still battling fears of surgery because of the mind searing pain and distrust fostered by this podiatrist. This is not a description of everything I suffered at his hands but it should be enough. I finally found a better podiatrist but I never regained full use of my foot.

I expressed that I did not want to spend money on inserts if not necessary but again was told that my insurance would cover it. The inserts were ordered and no one bothered to call me to let me know that insurance would not cover and to ask my permission to order anyway. I was never informed until I received a $430 bill. Upon inquiry, I was told that the Dr. had discounted $250 so the $430 would stand. This was my first visit and my last. I cannot recommend this facility. I've never written a poor review before but I am beside myself with this hefty bill and the lack of communication.
