The food is amazing but the coffee and service are lacking. Some baristas are good about calling your name when food is ready, others hardly say it or don't say anything at all when they drop it off. Do yourself a favor and don't order the drip, shot of espresso, or any really coffee forward options. Not sure if it's the beans they use or they way the pull the shots or brew their drip, but it's always very acidic and acrid tasting. Works fine in a latte where the milk counteracts that acidity, but I'd love to have a simple cup of coffee with my bagel or pastry as a nice counter to the sweetness. Not really an option here unless you like your coffee almost sour tasting or tend to add tons of creamer and sugar. read more

This little coffee shop is great! When I travel I love to find small coffee shops to try. The owners are from my home town, Kansas City, so I had to make a pit stop. It was amazing! My crew all got lattes that were delicious and the espresso was pulled very well. The owners and staff are very nice and even helped me get a mug all the way back in KC. Highly recommend! read more

Amazing coffee. This was the first place the I enjoyed and looked forward to drinking just black coffee because it had so much flavor. All the coffee you will have will truly blow you away. The service is great and everyone I've talked to has been really personable, as well as efficient. This is a great place to go and study, as well as just go and talk. Then room is really big and there are some awesome arched walls with tables in them that block out almost all noise and are great for studying! Good place to chill and read to if you can get one of the arched booths. Other then that the tables are okay for studying and good for talking. read more

As a Waco local, this is definitely a low tier coffee shop in the city. The parking lot is an absolute nightmare, and unfortunately everything else is just down hill from there. The staff is very rude and not very helpful. I ordered the Coconut Delight iced latte and a breakfast burrito. Some baristas call your name, some don't. Mine didn't, but luckily I was watching for mine. Another barista had already put another person's coffee on the counter that looked like mine, so I tried to ask the barista which one was mine and he just shrugged and turned away from me. The breakfast burrito was vile, it tasted like a frozen meal that was microwaved, and my latte tasted like the espresso was burnt. The only reason this place gets any stars is because their aesthetic is super cute and clean, it's very unique compared to other coffee shops in Waco. But please skip this shop and take your business elsewhere, they can For "Keeps" their frozen burritos and burnt espresso for themselves... read more

I love this coffee shop, and the food is amazing! I love the cinnamon bun it's been good every time I get it! I waited 40 minutes for my drink. There were flies all over the food that was being served. Up front at the cash register, they have food uncovered behind a "display" where the flies were landing. I thought that it was just a display and then I saw that the employees were grabbing contaminated food that the flies landed on and I was shocked. The only good thing is that this place is cute and the coffee is good, but that comes with the cost of waiting almost an hour for a drink and flies all over your food. read more

And their approach to fostering community through a warm atmosphere and well appointed café makes For Keeps one of my favorite spots in Waco.
