It is so difficult to find just the right place for your family. We interviewed several places when I was expecting our first and each one left me feeling sad and overwhelmed. I thought it was just the hormones, but then I called For Kids Sake. When I called, Julie had me on the phone for over an hour; setting up appointment times to meet, outlining their policies, talking about pregnancy and having small babies. Julie said so many times, "Come meet us... If we're not for you and your family, we are just happy to show you around and show you what's out there." We walked in and I could see each child felt loved. The teachers are keenly aware of the childrens' individual needs. Our daughter is getting ready to join her young preschool friends in a couple months and she is excited. I am excited because she is so well cared for at school. I feel so lucky that she has a place to learn and grow. It's a bonus that she's learned tons of sign language, is singing songs about cleaning up at home, and taking care of her things (like her coat and shoes). For Kid's Sake Early Learning Center is the only place I want my daughter to be. I feel content knowing that she will be loved and cared for all day long, as well as enriched on an academic level. She is writing her name, letters and numbers, and can even teach me some sign language. And I thought I was the teacher! She loves playing with her friends, being a carefree kid, and I love being a carefree parent. I know that no matter what kind of day she may be having, she will be treated kindly, fairly and with compassion. Although she is not old enough to identify why this place is so great, besides the wonderful friends and fun teachers, I can tell that she feels the same way I do since she BEGS me to take her to "her school" each week. With such a great start, her excitement for learning and school will hopefully continue on for many years. read more

My son has attended FKS since he was an infant, and I always felt that he was safe, happy, clean, and well cared for. FKS does not have contraptions to set the infants in to keep them immobile, instead the babies are outside feeling grass and sand, sunshine, crawling and rolling, also being held. When he was in the infant room, he even began using sign language at home, thanks for the teachers at FKS. He continued to attend FKS through his preschool years, and was more than ready to begin Kindergarten when it was time. Ms. Josie taught him how to count (up to 100... YES!), write his full name, recognize letters and sounds, and helped him to improve confidence, patience, and manners. Ms. Julie was always positive and very easy to communicate with and accessible and I usually saw her at the center daily. FKS had changing monthly themes for fun activities and my son always looked forward to the day's special agenda. The entire staff treated my son as if he was a part of their family, and I will always be appreciative of his time at FKS. read more

We LOVE FKS! They are so patient and flexible with mine and my husbands crazy work schedules. They were all so supportive and understanding as I transitioned back to work, and they are amazing resources. But, even better than all of that? They LOVE my daughter, and she clearly loves them....it's obvious with the giant smiles she has on her face when we arrive each day. I would highly recommend sending your children to FKS. My son loves it there and has learned so much since he started. The environment is SAFE, FUN, and EDUCATIONAL. The staff is FABULOUS! I became associated with For Kids' Sake when my now 8 year old was scheduled for head start only half days, and I needed a place for him to go in the afternoon. Initially, it was out of convenience he went to FKS, but I quickly learned the value of placing my son at FKS. The ratio of instructor's to enrollees is great for the attention young children require, having a certified RN on sight, bi-lingual usage during play and short lessons provided, scheduled snack and nap times that are routine, potty training encouragement and working with the child's schedule, and the best part is a sheet each day enveloping activities missed as our children grow while we are working to provide all the other love they require. The multitude of activities and changing environment to stimulate different motor and learning skills is a huge part of what FKS possesses. The security every parent yearns for when having to leave a chilld in daycare is tremendous. I have returned 4 years later with my daughter and the experience has only improved.
