They offered a course that lasted for a couple of weeks and cost just a few hundred dollars. You get what you pay for! In this program, I had 10 weeks of hands on training, plenty of lab time, and a lot of quizzes. Why? Because Medright wants to make sure you are employable after graduation! The best part was the 2-week clinical rotation, in which I got to work alongside a professional phlebotomist at Beaumont Hospital. I got real world experience on over 150 patients during this time. It's not like the labs where you practice on volunteers. I dealt with squeamish people, toddlers, and people with fear of needles. This course trains you for the real world. There are cheaper courses out there, but this one is the best if you truly want a career in health care. Do yourself a favor and choose this one. Chances are very good you'll get a job offer after your rotation. I did! And when I moved to California a few years ago, I was more than prepared for the state certification.

There are a lot of hands on exercises they incorporate with the lectures. Ms. Howard and Mrs. Lucas are teachers you want when learning something new. They are not your monotoned teachers that don't care about what they are teaching. They are lively and passionate about phlebotomy. Their methods of teaching involved real life experiences that made the textbook easier to understand. Medright literally gives you EVERYTHING you need to pass the class. If you have a question, they have an answer or will find it, SO ASK. They are there to help you attain a new skill or make it better. It's great to walk out of there and say that I learned something and that I'm excited to apply it in the real world. There are/were a few people complaining about the extra money they had to spend on tutoring, but being one of those people I can safely say that it was the best money I've spent. That one on one tutoring was incredible. My confidence and skills were changed after that session. During the tutoring session is the time you question anything and everything, if you need to. My clinical rotation was amazing as well. I met some great people and drew over 100 on my 7th day. I'm in the hiring process at my clinical site. What you learn at Medright, Mrs. Lucas and Ms. Howard is almost EXACTLY how you do it in a real hospital or clinical setting. There are a few differences and that's going to happen because hospitals change the way they do things at times. You will find your way of doing things that fit your comfort. My 16 month old has been going there since he was 9 months and the minute we took the tour all of our anxieties about leaving our little heart melted away. The curriculum is great, the families are friendly and involved, the staff is wonderful. Our son doesn't have any problems with drop off in the morning since he loves it so much! Caitlin, the director is a bundle of joy and energy and always makes me feel happy and comfortable to bring up any concerns or questions. The teachers are so attentive, kind and professional. And the facility is so nice! There is a huge outdoor play area that they utilize daily (weather permitting). I wouldn't want my son anywhere else.

I'm an EMT and my husband is a full time firefighter. They said they would work with us however needed. Our first clue should have been his behavior. They told us that most kids during thier first experience in daycare act that way, but I still had a bad feeling. I started to do more research, but they checked out online well. This was Masons first daycare experience and he also has attention problems. We clearly told them this and told them I was worried he might not adjust perfectly at first, but again, they told me he would be ok. By September, things were out of control. They kept telling us that he needed help, that he wouldn't sit ( again, at this point he had just turned 3) and a pile of other things. He was terrified to get out of the car in the morning, completely not normal, and was darkly emotional after my afternoon arrival. Eventually they said he MUST be potty trained, or he wouldn't be able to continue at that school. We abided by thier wishes, this was something we were trying anyway, and then they put him in a new classroom for 3 year olds. Things just got worse. They wouldn't greet him in the morning, or even get up off thier chairs, they complained of him every afternoon. On top of that, he was on a new medication to help with the attention difficulties. We THOUROGHLY explained that his Dr. said he might be a little drowsy the first two weeks. They manager of the school said, don't worry! We can work through it. A week later I get a call from his "teacher" stating Mason is interrupting class because he gets too tired at lunch and it's bad for the class. Also, he had escaped out the back half door, that had "lost" the childproof knob. By the way, the back door past the half gate leads out to a back field with a road beyond it and the door has no alram , if a three year old child was to open it. I expressed my concern about that many times and it was never fixed. We decided right then and there to pull him. I only wish we had sooner, who knows what he absorbed mentally there. We took Mason to a phyciatrist after this to make sure that we were in fact not over thinking thier actions. The Phyciatrist group in Livonia said it was not the first time they had heard the same senario unfortunately. They said we did the right thing. Please, please pay attention to your child's behavior if you do go with this school. Mason was bit over 7 times in just two months, there were times when he had fecal matter still on his rear, and they talked about all of these downfalls and things they didn't like about him right in front of him. Children need a loving, nurturing environment in these developing years. In our experience, they treat each child like a object, not family. We just hope this reaches someone out there and makes a difference.

Prior to starting here, they had been at another facility that provided lunches for kids and was slightly closer to home. At the other place we had some bad experiences. So I was exceedingly cautious about starting here. However, the staff made sure the boys felt welcomed from the very start (at our tour)! They handle potty words and discipline in an immediate fashion without humiliating the child. One other boy bit my kid while they were playing but because the policy for discipline is not to punish but remove the kids and then have them talk it over, the boys are actually "best friends" now they tell me. (At our prior school, there was a boy who did the same and the kids told me he was told he may "have to go back to the baby room since he was acting like a baby" and to this day they still talk about how that child "will never come to our parties") The communication is great too. The first week they provide a written document of what happened during the day, which is very helpful. The nap schedule is posted right outside the door so you can see if your kid slept when you pick them up. And they send home any uneaten food so you know what your kid ate. They also seem to genuinely care for the children, telling us stories about how cute they are or funny things they said. As my boys get ready for public school, they keep telling me that they don't want to leave their current school. I'm so happy I found this place, and would highly recommend it!

They are patient, caring, and dedicated to helping every child reach their full potential. They thoughtfully work through challenges and support each child as an individual. Not once have we ever felt rushed or like we needed to "just leave." Instead, her teachers always meet her with warmth, patience, and understanding. They take the time to engage with her, help her feel safe, and turn those tough mornings into positive ones. As a parent, that has meant more to me than I can put into words. Miss Anne Marie and Miss Sarah are truly an incredible team. They are kind, patient, compassionate, and genuinely invested in each child. They have always been willing to work with us as parents, communicate openly, and support our daughter every step of the way. We're so thankful for everything they've done for our daughter this year, and we're SO excited that she gets to be back in their classroom again next year.
