This super cute coffee and book shop in Avalon park was an unexpected stop today after Pilates. I walked in as I love a good read and cup f coffee just to see what it was and already plan to stop in again when I have more time. They have great hours during the week and weekend and seem to be a local fav. Today was super busy so I'll be back ! To sip and read for sure .

Aesthetically pleasing, great coffee and amazing selection of books. They had pretty gilded, sprayed and stain edged books that were beautifully displayed. The aesthetic is so put together that even the bathroom was in theme. The service was friendly and knowledgeable. Definitely a great shop!

Before I get into my review, let me point out that they are participating in the bookstore passport with 12 other bookstores around Orlando. Pick one up at the cashier and get your stamp. I couldn't wait to visit this new bookstore and cafe, now that I finally did, it did not disappoint. They have a great selection of books and have already hosted a number of author signings with more to come. There is a lot of bookish merchandise to peruse, including tote bags, t-shirts, 'hot girls read' stickers (IYKYK), and more. The cafe menu is so cute and clever. The individual drinks sound great, but I went for their insta famous coffee flight for $16. My favorite was "People we meet on vacation", while I didn't fully love the book or movie, the banana matcha drink tasted amazing! There are a few tables and chairs in the store to hang out, cowork, read, or simply enjoy a coffee. Being all the way in Avalon, this store is really far from me, but I'm so glad I took the time to drive over with a friend. We had a lovely afternoon and loved everything about For The Plot.

One of the newest local bookstores in the Orlando area in the Avalon Park part. I love the amount of local bookstores in this area. Each one is so unique. Everything is laid out by section. They also have a nice bookish themed clothing section and cases of your kindle and books that are also locally made. This also has a coffee bar as well and a seating area inside. One of the highlights was the summer seasonal coffee flight which had bookish themed names. So clever and very cute! Even in the menu is themed to an old library checkout card. The theming even extends to the restrooms which is a fun touch. I'm so excited to have another bookstore to visit!

Finally we have a bookstore for all genres on my side of town! For The Plot Bookstore & Cafe is located on Avalon Park Blvd East. It is located in the old Brix & Mortar Urban Winery. It is a cute bookstore serving up most genre of books including well known books translated into Spanish. I would love to see more diverse authors on the shelf. There are many bookmarks, book sleeves, stickers, kindle covers, kindle charms & kindle pop sockets. They have t-shirts, caps, candles, journals and pins. The space is cute, dimly lit by pretty chandeliers. There's a cozy corner to sit, sip & read. They serve coffee & coffee flights. I did not get to try the coffee because the wait time was long.

The shop was exactly what I'd picture walking into in a Hallmark film. Avalon is perfect for this kind of vibe! I really enjoyed my "The Summer I Turned Pretty" drink, and the staff was incredibly kind, making the atmosphere feel just right. I am SO glad we have a place like this on this side of town now, and I think this could easily become a third space for me!

Having a bookstore coffee shop in Avalon Park is a dream come true! For the Plot did not disappoint. The inside has a dark academia vibe with cozy seating areas and shelves lined with books organized by genre, and there is merch throughout the store. As far as the cafe, they have a regular coffee menu, matcha, as well as numerous specialty lattes. The barista was so friendly and helpful with narrowing down my choice. I went with an iced salted toffee latte and it was delicious! A great spot to catch up with friends or come alone for some time to read. I'll definitely be back!

Their chai genuinely tastes like water, and their white chocolate late is also absurdly watered down.

Cute little place tucked away in a nice local area. Everything you'd want a bookstore to be-cozy, quaint and inviting.

Been a favorite metaphysical spot of mine since I came to Orlando. I love how clean and organized…read moreit is, things are well labeled clear. Great selection of crystals, jewelry, books, gifts, etc. On my most recent visit, I got a reiki candle as a memorial candle and some fidget stickers. On past visits, I've gotten crystals and jewelry. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable and can guide you to what you're looking for, and things are super well priced. I've been to other similar shops that kind of needlessly mark things up, but I really trust the prices here.

I've been to Spiral Circle a few times to purchase gifts for friends and crystals for myself, but…read morerecently my friend told me about the Tarot Card workshops that Deanna hosts, so I tagged along last Monday to see what it was all about and..... I LOVED IT. I've been meaning to read more into my tarot books, but it always ends up getting forgotten about and whenever I do a tarot reading for a friend, I have to lookup the meaning in my book rather than knowing immediately what the cards mean. Deanna was so knowledgeable on each card and made the experience immersive and collaborative. She passed the card around the circle to have each person say what they notice about the card or feelings the card induces. This class was very valuable and I took many notes that I will look back on for my tarot journey. I plan on attending more of her classes and learning more about tarot cards! 10/10 store and 10/10 experience.

Kept trying to come here on Sunday- they're closed, but it kept being the only day I would have a…read morechance to go. FINALLY had a Saturday off, and I'm so sad I wasn't able to make it out here before now. I also brought a bag of books to sell. The processing for the books I brought took about 30 minutes (it was an IKEA bag FULL, I just needed to transfer to one of their bins). That gave me time to look around and see what they might have. Not all of my books were accepted, which was fine, because the reason this place is so big and yet does such good business is that the books are well currated to ensure that they are desirable. Older books, or less desirable are kept down to one copy, whereas more popular books may have three or four of the same book, but the book is popular enough that it will be sold. Value wise, the rare, signed, and first editions area is VERY reasonably priced. Value for books brought in is given as either cash (I was given a lesser amount this way) or store credit I walked out with a few of the sequels of book series I have the first and maybe second of, but this way I could complete the series for less. I also found a few books on my TBR that were available. Books are indeed at used book prices, not hugely marked up, so overall I considered the visit a huge win. Overall, I guess my complaint is only that this is the only location, and I wish there was a sister store more toward central or even the west side of Orlando.

This is located in a shopping area so there is plenty of parking. It is a rather large bookstore. My best friend and I went on a quest to find bookstores we have not visited before. I saw this one…read moreon someone's instagram stories and was intrigued. First, they have a lot of books. When I first walked in I wasn't even sure where to begin but it was great to be able to browse and see their extensive collection. Staff is very friendly and let us know that they curate their books from donations. If you donate your books to them, they create an account where you can have a credit on file to use. As someone, that occasionally does donate books, this is fantastic news! Additionally, all of their books unless otherwise stated are half off the cover value which is incredible and affordable! They definitely had something for everyone there. I look forward to visiting them again, hopefully with some books to give them!

The Book Rack in downtown Ocoee is not only a great place to shop for used books; it's also a great…read moreplace to bring in any of your own used books for credit. You're not only decluttering your house, but you're helping out a small local business. With every book you bring in, you receive credit toward future purchases. I already have more credit than I'll probably ever use, but I'm happy that my previously read books are going to a good home. The store has a pretty decent used book selection with floor-to-ceiling shelving (and also some graphic novels, CDs, and DVDs). It's always hit-or-miss, so each time I go; I never know what I'll find. There's also a little sitting area with coffee or hot cocoa, if you so desire. How much are the used books? They're half off the cover price. How does the credit work? You get an additional half off the half-off price. So if a book has a cover price of $8, the store sells the book for $4. I can use my credit balance for an additional $2 off (half of the $4), leaving the book at a total of $2. There are also some $1 books on a rack outside the store. Everyone working there is always super friendly and helpful.
