Reposting my review after Yelp deleted it for mentioning the tree guy I ended up using…read more.. Wish I could give 5 stars - Wanted to support a local crew and went with Aaron (The Tree Man). He came to my house and provided a quote to which I agreed. He indicated his crew would be there either the next day or the day after that. I stayed home both days and he never showed or called or texted. I texted him asking why he hadn't come or called or texted about the job and never received a response. His crews have been working the roads, possibly for PGE, and I saw them out working while I was waiting for him to contact me. I'm guessing he is too busy or something, who knows? --- I ended up going with another local company [insert deleted company] and was very happy with their service.

Got 5 quotes and went with Juarez Tree Service based on their quote, other reviews, and they're covered by Yelp Guarantee (which thankfully, I've never had to use before). Scheduled a time with them last Friday and they had availability and we scheduled a date and time. Erik said 8-9AM on Tuesday (this morning). Before they arrived, I moved all the potted plants a good distance away from the palm tree. I also covered two plants that I couldn't move with a garbage can to protect them. The palm tree leaves fall a good distance and will mess up anything they fall onto. I also created a small path in our backyard for them to walk through. Erik and his crew arrived promptly at 9AM. Erik brought 2 people with him. Ivan was the one going up and cutting off the leaves. Salvador was the one carrying leaves off to the trailer in front of our driveway. Before they started work, they laid down a large tarp to catch most of the debris. Erik's whole crew was very courteous and professional. They worked quickly and cleanly - the backyard was either in the same or slightly cleaner condition than when they started. From start to finish, the job took about an hour and 45 minutes. They're very efficient! We also had quite a few palm tree leaves that fell from our neighbor's tree. They helped haul away those as well. I highly recommend Juarez Tree Service based on this palm tree trimming service!

They worked all day demo'ing our backyard greenscape and literally bran out of daylight. When I followed up on remaining items, the team remained responsive but mostly with excuses as to why they could not complete the final stump grinding. As of this week they've gone completely dark.

Alpha was the only one who was straightforward, but also genuinely kind and honest. We were most comfortable working with them and I'm so happy we did. They called us and squeezed us in quickly which was great! The guys on the job were so awesome and respectful. We had a very angry/nosy neighbor situation who felt permits with the City of Petaluma simply weren't enough and we also needed to go through the permitting office of Mr. Neighbor -- I'm not joking. He was awful, but the guys carried on, completely undisturbed and also gave us assurance that we did everything right. They took incredible care with ensuring the sidewalk concrete was done correctly and cleanly -- matching with the rest of the sidewalk. Just really went the extra mile. Cougar was referred to us by another tradesperson we've used and he was happy to help us with a…read moreleaking internal roof drain in our 1920's recessed flat roof that had been giving us issues since we bought our house over 35 years ago. Cougar worked with us cooperatively and after some further investigation, he came up with a new solution that necessitated working with our roofing contractor, who he worked with closely. The solution was to create a new external drain that turned out to be a great permanent fix. Cougar was very cooperative, proactive, and flexible as the project evolved. His workmanship is excellent and he and his crew worked very hard and skillfully. They coordinated scheduling with the roofing company so the work could be completed before an upcoming atmospheric river rain event. The entire job went off seamlessly. I would eagerly refer him to others and use his services again in the future!
