I got an onsite quote, and also stopped by their office and the staff was very helpful. The sales process was pretty standard and the contacts were friendly. The contracts are sent view email or text. The installation process is why I'm leaving a 3 star review. While the crew was friendly and the area looks nicely done and professionally installed, the crew left a mess of a worksite. Most notably there were multiple long (6"ish) nails left around the play area after the team left for the day. The compactor they used left an oil spot on my concrete and they left a random piece of scrap turf without checking if we wanted the extra material. It was long and large and just another thing I have to deal with in my trash. As the day was wrapping up, I watched a member of the crew make my yard significantly messier with the most half-a** attempt at clean up blowing I've personally witness. It was done with an impressive lack of care that said "don't even bother me, I don't care either way." So I didn't. But I was wondering why they would be blowing the remnants of artificial turf, tiny little bits of chewed up plastic - all over my natural grass, patio and garden. I had to clean up after them, and luckily that's when I found the long nails before a child found them. (They weren't hidden at all, again, a shocking lack of attention to detail when it came to cleaning up the job site.) We're now a couple month in but the turf is functioning as expected.

Life Turf Landscaping replaced my grass with artificial turf a few years ago. At the time, they…read moretold me I should turn off the irrigation on that side of the yard, but they never clearly explained why. A few years later, I started noticing sunken areas in the turf that have now become a safety hazard because of how deep the holes are. Based on what has happened, it appears that irrigation pipes may have been punctured during the turf installation. Every time the irrigation was turned on, water seemed to wash out part of the base underneath the turf, creating large holes and unstable areas. They came out once and repaired the issue, but a few months later the holes came back. Unfortunately, no one clearly explained why this was happening or offered a permanent solution. I have tried multiple times to get them to come back and address the problem, especially since I believe this should fall under the warranty. I reached out by phone, email, and text, and they have not responded. I even offered to pay them to fix it, but still received no response. Very disappointing experience. The original installation has led to ongoing issues, and the lack of communication and follow-up has been extremely frustrating.

Everything seemed fine at first, but I did not go through everything as I do have quite a large number of plants. I had made a request that I did not feel comfortable with a single emitters at the center of a plant as my experience has been that the water just goes straight down and out. Apparently that went unheard and has been the case with most every plant except where I had already used an alternate option. I was on vacation during the heat wave and when I came back, I found most of my plants either dead or dying. As I started to examine, the emitter applications I found them inadequate or not even in some cases near the plant itself. I am very disappointed and once again I will have to go through everything myself.

After talking to a few other local vendors, we decided to go with FENIX and we are really pleased we did. Adam, Kimberley and Erica communicated really well and answered any question we had about the entire process. They provided us with a few turf samples as well as an extensive list of referral addresses we could use to inspect their craftsmanship and the quality of the installed turf product. When the day to start the project arrived, Dylan and the large crew arrived right on time as arranged and immediately got to work. They were very professional and skilled. They were able to complete the entire project in one day and cleaned up the "worksite" nicely. We are extremely happy with the entire process from start to finish and would use them again if needed and would highly recommend them if you were considering installing artificial turf for your landscaping project. During excavation, I was assured multiple times that all underground water lines would be properly shut off and removed. However, this spring, after my gardener installed a new sprinkler system, we discovered a significant underground leak. Upon investigation, we found that one of the original water pipes--supposedly decommissioned--had not been properly capped or removed. I immediately contacted the company, expecting a straightforward resolution for what should have been considered a foundational installation issue. Instead, I was told that because my gardener lifted a portion of the turf to identify the leak, the warranty was voided. Despite requesting to speak directly with the owner, Tim, my calls were deflected and I've received no follow-up for over two weeks. This has been an incredibly frustrating experience. A basic expectation in turf installation is ensuring no active plumbing is left beneath the surface. This was not a complex repair--it was an avoidable oversight that the company refused to take responsibility for. To the owner: I recommended your business to friends in good faith. Had I known customer concerns would be dismissed so easily, I would have never done so. Ignoring valid issues and refusing direct communication with clients is not how reputable companies should operate. For anyone considering working with Heavenly Greens, I strongly recommend proceeding with caution.

Ken Truong and Skywood Landscaping is an excellent company to work with! We called them after finding they had solid 5 star reviews on Yelp! After our initial phone conversation, Ken came to see the yard and listened carefully to the ideas we had in mind and took measurements. It was a brand new house with an enclosed back yard which was a blank slate. We wanted to use some of the hardscape elements of one of the development's model home yards within a slightly different yard layout. Ken also went with us to see the back yard of the model home we liked. On our second meeting, a week or so later, we were pleasantly surprised that Ken had created a computer drafted design in color of the backyard, containing the major ideas we had discussed in our first meeting! This greatly assisted us in visualizing how the built landscape would turn out, in fact we used the drawings and layout to tweak the design until we had just what we were happy with! Due to rainy weather, it was necessary to wait a number of weeks before commencing with the project. During those weeks, Ken kept us posted and as soon as weather permitted, he scheduled the week for the project to take place. On Monday morning, Ken and his crew arrived at 7am and made great progress immediately and steadily. His team under his direction was skilled, conscientious, hardworking, and efficient. He was readily available to answer any questions or discuss any changes. The project was completed by the end of the week as scheduled. We are very happy with the hardscape they created: the patios, stepping stones, concrete and gravel walkways!! The work is beautiful and precise and done with fine attention to detail!! We felt that the cost was fair given that he is a Licensed Contractor and carries Workman Compensation Insurance and he has a high level of expertise being the second generation of the company. We Absolutely love Skywood Landscaping. We had them come out to design and built our backyard, which was previously empty with juniper plants and nasty roots with weeds all around. Just a mess Ken took our vision and executed it to perfection. He recommends we rip out everything and do a concrete pathway with artificial turf with extra finishing touch; dry creek bed and drought-tolerant plants on the outer layer. The result came out great! Better than we pictured it. I'm grateful that the whole crew were very skilled and worked so efficiently to get the project done in 4 working days flat. It was time for me to make some changes in my backyard landscaping. Overgrown bushes needed to be removed and I wanted a retaining wall built. I had a general idea of what I wanted for landscaping and Ken gave me some great suggestions to create a final plan. They were the only company who even mentioned laying gopher wire and knew about Ditra membranes. Seeing Stephen Garcia on social media cinched it for me. He knew his stuff. This was a company that I could tell would care as much as I did. I came to them with a full design in mind. Lots of landscapers don't love that because they want to do their own thing or because clients don't understand engineering, permits, etc. That said, Novara not only brought my own vision to life but they improved upon it with their experience and passion. I had nothing in my yard but a lot of dirt. Now I have a stunning porcelain paver landing with lighting, a patio and a pergola, DG, irrigation, lighting and a stunning plant design that is flourishing! These guys impressed me with their crew and work ethic. They were there early every morning and worked full long days. Stephen was in constant contact with me and came by frequently. He discussed every little thing they were doing. Novara never pushed me nor grew impatient with me or my questions. There were a few…read morethings we were looking for when choosing a contractor: reasonable pricing, professionalism, competency, and great communication. Drainage was our biggest concern as there's a slope going to the house. Addressing the engineering - not just aesthetics - gave us comfort that this company knows what they're doing. Quote- found them on Yelp, read the reviews, asked for a quote through Yelp projects. They offered next day coordination to view the project. Steven was pleasant and professional. Understood our drainage concerns. The emailed quote came the following day, and it had every detail requested. This punctuality and attention to detail already says a lot to me so we hired them. The job- Started on schedule and the team went above and beyond! We requested the excavated soil to be set aside so we could use it on another part of our property - they so kindly placed the soil in the areas we needed. We saw the engineering of the small gradation for water drainage. The channel drain and French drain were installed for longevity. The 1000+ sqft of pavers were meticulously arranged by hand to include border pavers. Timeframe- this massive job was scheduled for 5 days but extended into 10 days due to the manufacture shorting the border paver count. Clean up- the team did well to smooth out the rest of the excavated soil, gave us as much left over rock and pavers as we wanted and even relocated it to our convenience. Lastly, they swept the patio for immediate use and took any remaining debris. We very much appreciated Steven and the Novara crew for the long days and great work! We love that this a local family business doing great work. The patio looks great and it has us excited to extend our living space!

Juan was very helpful and understanding. He was able to obtain the needed plants in time to complete the project. We've had many compliments on our new yard and the neighbors are still driving or walking by with smiles when they see the improvements. I highly recommend this business!

Michael guided us through ideation and design, plant and materials selection, City and HOA permitting, construction, utilities, cement pours, a pergola, a fountain, a gas fireplace, tea lights and so much more! Every facet of the work was done the right way, to code, on-time, and turned out beautifully. We ended up spending a bit more than planned but we are truly delighted with the results!
