I immediately called their office and learned that in my haste I had paid for months of parking and failed to collect the ticket needed to exit the garage. The manager was remarkably kind and understanding. She arranged for me to call an attendant when my event ended so that he could open the exit gate. The following morning she was able to correct the charge to my credit card - no fuss, no hassle. Great customer service!

It is right across the road from the People Mover, so I was able to avoid the chaotic traffic at Cobo Center. As a bonus I was also very close to the I-375 entrance so I was able to get out of downtown very quickly. What I really like about this garage is that it has EIGHT electric car charging stations (four on level 1, four on level 2) at no extra cost. If you have a plug-in hybrid or an electric car, use this garage! If you are going to a major crowded event at Cobo Center, I also recommend using this garage and riding the people mover. It's only $1.50 extra (people mover fare) and the proximity to I-375 is a huge help.

As soon as you walk in you can feel the energy from the crowd, especially during a game or concert. The big screens, lighting, and overall setup make it easy to see what's going on no matter where you're sitting. It's definitely one of the nicest venues I've been to in Detroit. The food options were also pretty good for an arena. There were plenty of choices around the concourse--from pizza and burgers to other snacks and drinks--so you're not limited to just one stand. Of course, the prices are what you'd expect at a stadium, but the convenience and variety made it worth it. Everything we tried was fresh and hit the spot during the event. The staff and organization were also solid. The employees were friendly and helpful when we had questions, and the arena seemed very well managed. Even with a lot of people there, things moved smoothly and the place stayed clean. Overall it was a fun experience, and I'd definitely come back for another game or concert. Great atmosphere and a great Detroit venue.

About 100 feet from the door to the arena there is a little dead end street called Park Ave where you can park for free if you arrive early before the road blocks go up!! See my photo. Park early and then walk over to Harry's Detroit Bar & Grill for a cheap beer and burger (or other great food) before the game!!! You won't regret it. Awesome food and very friendly people.
