What impressed me the most was that Dr. Sledge used surgery as a last result. After the MRI showed a tear in the rotator cuff, surgery was the only logical option. During the surgery, Dr. Sledge included the anesthesiologist and Physician's Asst, Ms. Book. They have been working together as a team for years and worked very well together. The incision was so small, you couldn't find the scar after 5 weeks. Wow! PS. When they recommend the shoulder block, take it. Best decision. After surgery, recovery wasn't fun but they warned me about it. Just be patient and the pain will decrease each week. Ms Book, the PA, has done a great job after the surgery helping me to understand how to get my shoulder back to normal. What most impressed me was that she has been in the field for 17 years and knows her stuff. She gave very detailed explanations and advice.
