The burger was done medium - as good as I can get in Canada - and just full of flavour. Great balance of toppings, a sandwich so mighty you can't get all ingredients in a single bite. The fries are toasty but soft, a nice natural taste. Most beers are your standard but there are a few Canadians on tap. I went for the Alexander Keith's but they said that was gone... replaced with Kawartha Lakes Red! Awesome. All at a nice price. Just a couple of downsides. I got a side of veggies with dip, but the bleu cheese tasted like citrus? I don't get it. I could and should have counted the veggies on my burger as enough. And the fries, you can use ketchup or vinegar at the table, but sauce costs extra. I didn't ask about mustard, I just ate fries. Finally, everything was great until karaoke started around 9 (may just be a machine they have for whoever puts in money whenever), but then my server somehow disappeared when I needed my check to come back and sleep. One with fries and one with a Ceasar salad. Breading on the fish was light the halibut was a nice large piece! Cooked perfectly nice and flakey not greasy at all. The scallops and shrimp where cooked well too. Chips where fresh and light. The Ceasar salad was not worth the 3.50$ dollars for the upgrade. They just tossed two strips of bacon with it. No croutons, red onion or even parmasean. Was also dissapointed that they didn't do a home made tartar sauce and also no lemon provided with the fish. At first I was excited to see the paper in the take out bag! Then realized they wrapped the take out box in paper. Hopefully they will cut back on the waste and just wrap the fish in that beautiful paper moving forward. Would really love to see this place stick to fish and chips and sea food options and perfect their sides. Would love to see more fish and seafood meals and stay away from the burgers etc and really specialize on the seafood. The bread was very soft, homemade, melt in your mouth whole wheat. They buttered the large slices of bread, adding nice sized, good cuts of ham. The swiss cheese wasn't processed and it was topped with fresh lettuce, tomato and very good honey mustard. It was very, very good. My companions all enjoyed their sandwiches as well. They also have fresh, homemade bakery items for sale. I am regretting not picking up some butter tarts right now. Next time I am in the area I will definitely be going back.

I was greeted promptly at the door and sat quickly. It was quite busy, it being a Saturday morning. The ambience inside was surprisingly of a rustic contemporary design. Nice booths on one side and more table and chair seating on the other side of the restaurant. My server "Kelly" was full of pep and energy and had a great personality. She suggested the breakfast special so I decided to take her suggestion. Breakfast started with a piping hot cup of delicious coffee that was bottomless I also had the O.J. Which can sometime be a hit or miss. It was definitely a hit. (Not the cheap stuff you'd expect). When breakfast arrived not only was everything exactly prepared how I ordered it, it was also presented on a beautiful deep rustic stoneware platter (not your standard cheap with plate). I indulged into the delicious breakfast platter and was instantly impressed by the locally sourced flavours of the eggs, bacon and even the bread for the toast. The home fries, well they are in a whole other level of delicious. I learned they were actually the owners secretly seasoned potato recipe that have been served for years here. If you happen to find yourself in Elmira around breakfast time or are looking for a quaint upper scale breakfast place with a great atmosphere and delicious food outside of the city wether your dining solo or with a group then I highly recommend the Sip & Bite for a pleasant dining experience.
