Quaint and quiet. Serene but still funky. Lots of parking and easily accessible off highway 21. Activities and games for the kids to play as well. I'm also 99% sure they offer boondocking so if that's something you're into camping/trailer wise, do look it up. Washrooms are large, clean and gender neutral. I also tried their regular cheeseburger - cooked perfectly, juicy, and delicious. If I hadn't had the poutine, I'd give it high marks for the burger alone. Don't sleep on this place, it's great. They generally have ten to twelve beers on tap ranging from lagers, ales, sours and sometimes a stout. They are all delicious in their own right although drinking barrel aged fruited sours is an acquired taste in my book, but trust me try them and you may learn to love them. But why else should you go? There is limited food (it's a brewery not a restaurant), no TV's to watch the game, a steady stream of classic rock playing in the background, kids running around and a few dogs to greet you on the way in. To make matters worse the cell reception is awful, my wife always had a hard time reaching me. Hmm, maybe that's not all bad... What kind of place is this, anyway? It's a modern twist on an old fashioned FAMILY oriented brewery, that's what! They are only open saturdays from 11-6. I was able to try the beers before I purchased. The beers are definitely more expensive than your average beer. I found the prices a bit high but as a craft beer lover you'll understand after seeing the small brewery, you're getting small batched beers from a company thats starting out. I'd definitely go back! Suggestion: "oh, I don't see a reservation in that name. Perhaps there was some sort of miscommunication. Luckily there are 2 different table options. Give me a couple minutes to get one cleaned and set and we'll get you seated asap". Next, the bartender came to deliver our wine and said "which of you ladies messed up and called the wrong restaurant?" ???? Again much better communication would have included "oh, Im so glad we could get you seated tonight" What an interesting way to greet customers..... The beer they don't brew on site is also brewed at a local contract brewer. They offer a wide range of beer, from porters to ales to milds. Their small bottle shop doubles as a tasting room.
