Best massage around, I won't go anywhere else. I like deep tissue, and a therapist who understands tight muscles and postural/alignment issues. I go to Abby, do 90 minutes, and feel completely better afterwards. I love the deep tissue technique with attention to scalp, extremities, ears, everything. I used to have a lower back issue and massage from here combined with yoga and strengthening has cleared it up. read more

I have been to many other massage therapists at other locations but no one comes close to Kim. She's professional, kind and listens to what you need. It's fine but I genuinely don't recommend this place for a massage... not really sure what else they do but I was not happy with my massage. My husband loved Alice and I kept peaking over and it seemed like a better massage. This is my second time , 1st time not so great but I wanted to see if it was just a 1 off. She was rushed had tickly hands and I'm not normally ticklish. Also she clearly kept telling Alice my husbands masseuse to hurry up. She was sticking her fingers in my ears and tapping/clapping my ears as well as massaging my eyelids. I had to ask her to stop cuz my contacts were moving and it was very uncomfortable. The massage technique felt like I was getting and Indian burn or rash. Hopefully they will hire better masseuses. But for now I do not recommend. read more

This was a life saving place! Called and got a day of appt. my masseuse Kim was properly geared up while the massage and gave the 2nd best massage I have ever had. So worth going if you have body pain issues. Place was clean and comfortable. I give any service provider credit. It is not easy with a mask ,face shield and Working on people. It's been too long since I treated myself to a good deep massage. The nagging back ache and general crappy feeling were sure signs to me so I treated myself and went to see Linda. She's been there for a long time and I forgot how great she was. Yes a little pain but a good pain. When you're done you feel like a new person. Back aches gone energy is back bloods flowing and I'm good to go. Only thing I need to remember is not to be a stranger. We've had several massages here. I had Kim and my husband had Alice. Both were excellent. The spa is very clean, soft clean sheets, lovely lighting. They really focus on the areas that need it. We now go every 2 weeks for health reasons. We highly recommended Fore River Holistic Massage. read more

This place is amazing! The staff are friendly and it's clean and quiet. They give the best massages - hands down! My niece visits from Europe two or three times a year and always insists on going here for a massage. Deep tissue massage is not always the best thing if you don't know what you're doing. My massage therapist Vickie used her elbow and forearm for 90 minutes digging deep into my shoulders, back, glutes and legs. When I told her it hurt, she said You need the hurt. I continued comparing it to some other massages where there is a little bit of hurt and you feel better so I stayed. There was no nurturing strokes however and it felt like it shattered my nervous system. Every part of body has been aching for 3 days and I have a headache. read more

There are WAY better massage places in the area. I get massages a lot, people know I like them so I often get gift certs as gifts - that is how I ended up at this place. First impression - place was dark and cold, which made it feel dirty and unwelcoming. The woman who "greeted" me was rude and told me to have a seat, then showed me to a room. They had no paperwork to fill out, asked no questions on what I wanted, any problem areas, etc. She was busy texting and barely looked up from her phone. So the therapist comes in - didn't introduce herself or say anything so I initiated communication - I told her I wanted a deep tissue. It started off OK, she spent a lot of time on my back. But it went down hill fast - pressure became really weak, she barely touched my feet and lower legs. I get better foot massages when I get a pedicure! She was yawning, being very loud every time she moved her chair. And at one point I think she opened the door to the room. The walls of the room are paper thin too. I could clearly hear other people. I suffer with chronic migraines & severe neck pain. My pain levels were very high today. I was able to get an appointment the same day. It was the best deep tissue massage I have ever received. I have been to the Fore River Holistic Therapy center a number of times now and they get better every time. The place is extremely clean and the staff are always very friendly. They take care to make sure they customize the massage for what you need. When I've asked, I have gotten very tough massages where I felt it for days afterward, and I've gotten massages so relaxing that I fell asleep. I know there is a lot of competition in this market but I can't recommend them highly enough! read more
