My visit was a joke and took all of 5 minutes. My appointment was with Kurt at the Howard location. He came in, never once reviewed any of the information that the nurse had taken from me. I was told to remove my makeup with a dry tri fold paper towel. I had to ask for cleanser. I would have brought makeup wipes if I would have known I was going to be using the equivalent of sand paper to remove my makeup. He finally comes back in the room and looks at my face for about 30 seconds. His official diagnosis, "it's not that bad." I get that it's pregnancy mask and in the grand scheme of things it not that bad. But, my face has brown patches that bother me. I was there for assistance not to be dismissed. I was told my only option is a prescription bleaching cream. I wasn't told any pros or cons of this treatment only that my insurance wouldn't cover it. I had to prod Kurt for information. I literally had to ask what are the benefits,features and cautions. Is this going to chemically burn my face? Probably is what I was told. He than changed direction and tried to sell me his $125 bleach cream from the Dermatology Assc retail line. I again had to ask about what's in this cream and how it works. This is a plant based line he told me. If he would have glanced at the information I gave his nurse he would have had a clue that I have plant based allergies. I asked for a patch test to insure that I could safely use it. I was told I can have a patch test once I buy it. Umm really? I asked for at least a pamphlet to read about it. At this point I'm irritated and underwhelmed with the lack of service on the most basic level. He begrudgingly gave me a photocopy. The visit took 5 minutes at most. It was underwhelming. Kurt was dismissive and seemed put out by me trying to get information from him and express concerns. I left there wishing I would have spent my money with an esthetician instead. At least I would have gotten my money's worth. I would never go back there or recommend it to anyone.

The medication suggested is toxic to the liver and requires regular blood tests to look for signs of toxicity. I know, they tried to push it on my teenage daughter without providing a pamphlet. I had to do the research myself. They say it's a "cure" for acne. It's costly and I have to wonder what their motives are behind pushing this horrible medication on patients, when clearly there are alternative treatments. The Dr. was rude and gave me the impression that I wasn't taking the situation seriously. It's acne, not cancer. The appointment was rushed and some of the nurses were bickering outside of the room. Very unprofessional atmosphere, I see they've changed their name, good to know. I will never recommend or return.

NOT- first, my appointment was for 8:15- waited 15 minutes at the reception desk for one of the 2 receptionists to check me in. I finally got checked in and taking to my room. Dr Kara came in, this was for a yearly routine exam. She basically was in and out of the visit within 10 minutes and told to come back in 9 months. I said to her, 9 months she said yes. Well 3 weeks later, very bad basil cell on my leg that was there and untreated when I went to her. SAVE your time and go to a real professional who is not about how many people they can get in and out of their office and truly care about the patients that entrust them with their care. Run from this facility and dont turn back.

During our first appointment, we sat with her to discuss his whole health history and all my concerns. Every appointment thereafter, I felt like she really knew and understood him. The lab tests we've done were very comprehensive and she took the time to explain the results carefully. I better understand gut health (and it's importance!) because of her. She is very knowledgable about both natural and conventional supplements and medicine. I've never felt rushed or uncomfortable around her, like I have with other doctors. Every appointment, we've left with a clear treatment plan and next steps. I also saw her earlier this year when I was having some health issues of my own, mainly due to pandemic stress. Just as with my son, she took the time to know my health history and develop a treatment plan with supplements and lab tests. She is an expert on women's health, and I appreciated her insight on seed cycling and adrenal issues. As she transitions to mainly telehealth, I intend to continuing see her for my health needs. She is also phenomenal with adults, I see her myself. All her diagnoses & interventions have been spot on. We couldn't be in better hands.
