Sixteen years ago, I was diagnosed with breast cancer that was treated with a lumpectomy and radiation. In April, 2019, I was again diagnosed with breast cancer and teamed up with Dr. Bermus and Dr. Janssen for a double mastectomy and reconstruction. I've had complications with reconstruction due to my radiated breast and Dr. Janssen helped me every step of the way. He made me feel like I deserved to have my dream of being complete and he was going to get me the closest he could to my goal. And he delivered! He's professional, knowledgeable, compassionate, friendly, caring, and he has a gift in combining science with art. There were times I didn't think it was possible to have a good outcome but Dr. Janssen and his staff never made me feel that I'm in this alone. Given what he had to work with, he did a spectacular job! I have to shout a big thank you to his staff also. Then they refused to renew his prescriptions even though they were informed of the other upcoming appointment. Honestly we should have been shopping around when Dr. Richter announced his retirement.
