(for a simple manicure color) over the phone and reiterated it in person when I arrived. The young friendly lady started and I could see she wasn't very used to painting nails since she was taking more time than usual (even to remove my old nail polish) and also, she was applying too much nail polish (layers and layers.) I could have done that job by myself at that point. Not only ahe took way more time than usual (45 min) but she also didn't do a great job at the end. She even told me I wouldn't be late for work (obviously she doesn't know anything about my life and how much time it takes for me to go to work), but I was. I had a one-hour window to paint my nails and they failed to fit that window. I'd recommend that place given the previous positive reviews, but I'd make sure I get someone qualified next time and for everyone who goes there.

I got a pedicure and it took ridiculously long. I also noticed the nail lady was really hurting my toe!! Later that day my toe started to hurt very badly, I thought it would go away but it did not. My toe had gotten severely infected by the unsanitary tools she was using on my toe and how much digging and ripping she was doing. It is now June 2020, my toe is still severely infected, I've been on medication and ointments to clear the infection and it's still not gone. My last resort is going to a specialty foot doctor called a podiatrist. I might have to get my big toenail removed or even my entire big toe amputated. I do NOT recommend this nail salon under ANY circumstance. The employees at this place are extremely careless. It has been over 3 months and my toe is still severely infected and painful. It's rare that I have an experience that is truly awful at a salon. In fact, even if I've left salons with small cuts on my hands and/ or toes, I've never felt the experience to be one that was truly this awful. I called a day in advance to book a manicure here. I'll admit that I did see that it is a 1 star salon, though with only one other review, I thought maybe I'd have better luck. I arrived and mentioned that I was there for a scheduled manicure. I was excited- my first manicure since the pandemic! Unfortunately I was left wishing I had never gone at all. I sat down and a woman who spoke neither English nor french began to cut my nails and sand then down to almost nothing, without so much as a hello. Both the cut and sanding were aggressive, as if she was angry. I hope it was a fluke. Without saying a word, she began to glue on a fake nail (I've never had these before). This is where I then asked what she was doing (in french and then English). No answer. I was in pain. So I pulled my hand away and asked the owner what was happening. The owner was nice enough and told the woman to take off the nail and glue. She argued, but gave in and did it. At this point, I opted for fake nail tips (my first time), because of my newly destroyed nails. Then, I wasn't given the colour that I asked for. I just wanted to leave at this point. It wasn't real manicure by any means. No soak. cuticle trim or lotion. The application of polish was satisfactory, but on top of everything, the woman cut one of my nails so short that it ended up bleeding and hurting for over a week. When the pain was finally gone and my nails had grown out a bit, I found a salon to help repair the damage. This is the first time I am saying this about any business- this place needs to be shut down!!!

The actual service was excellent they took their time we didn't feel rushed. They let us soak and then worked our feet very well, they did different things wrapped us in plastic wrap and massages everything you'd expect and shellac was great lasted for a good month.
