The crew came and did a great job. We signed off at the completion and from what we remembered paid cash. Over 6 months later we get a demand letter stating we still owed $500... and that if we did not pay up immediately we would be sent to collections. The balance we owed at the time was under $500 and they were also spelling our last name wrong in the email demand letter. My husband and I have over an 800 credit score and have always paid our bills on time. This company was not able to provide us with a copy of the last sign off paperwork. We unfortunately also did not keep it or misplaced it. We felt like we were treated with Bully tactics. What company comes back after 6 months and wrong information and demands payment? We spoke with our lawyer and he told us unfortunately it is a he said/she said situation and this bully could send us to collection despite not having any real proof. Also we were told their accountant had screwed up several other accounts. We paid it but really felt like it was extortion... So be sure to keep all paperwork when working with them!

The master bath was boring--it had a tub and shower head; you know, your typical bathroom. I rarely, if ever, use a tub and wanted a tiled walk-in shower. Joel and Britton, the owners, are fantastic to work with. They'd just done a similar project in their own home, and sent me pictures. Britton came out to measure the shower area, and I met them at their showroom to pick out tile. There is A LOT of tile in there to choose from and it seems like a daunting task, but my method is to first rule out what I DON'T want. I see enough brown in Arizona and did not want a brown bathroom too. I wanted something grey and white, and some crazy pop of color for accent. I also knew I wanted a recessed niche in the wall to hold my bazillion girly products in the shower. With that in mind, it actually didn't take too long to pick out tile. I saw something in a beige-ish color and said, "This pattern, but not brown...if only this was grey!" Lo and behold, Britton recalled some new tile that arrived that morning and showed it to me--perfect! Next it was on to choosing accent tile. I wanted a vertical stripe at the front of the shower from the ceiling to the floor, and that same accent tile on the backsplash of the niche. Joel and Britton had talked me into a little bench in the shower too (smart!) so the accent would go there as well. Once I saw this beautiful dark blue glass mosaic tile, I knew that was it. Britton was able to find some floor tile to match perfectly. That tile has to be smaller so it can slope to the drain. They finished the entire shower, from demolition to completion in about six days. They even recommended a plumber (this is my first house!) and a guy to do the glass blocks that I wanted. They are great folks to work with, and I'm so happy with the shower. I strongly recommend Alliance Flooring for tile work. They also do tile flooring and carpet as well. When I need new floor tile or carpet, I'll be calling them for that too! If you need work like this done, give them a call.

Dave came out ahead to look over the project and give me a quote. I SO appreciated that as we both knew what to expect. There is no dickering over cost if the bid is done ahead unless something is added, which in that case should be in quote. Very impressed with the professionalism, efficiency, work ethic, timeliness, and cleanup from beginning with quote, to windows and even screens! I also recommended to my daughter down the street that had construction clean up and again they did a such a great job! It reminded me I hadn't written this review and they were SO good they deserve more than 5 Stars!

They washed the windows but that's all they did. No screens, no patios, no house. We paid them for the windows and screens (which we thought had been cleaned), assuming they would return to finish the job. They finally came back a week later and started to wash the patios, but in the middle of the job they informed us that we would have to pay for ANOTHER window cleaning since the patio washing was hitting the windows. We had them stop, and I contacted the company. They said they would call us back. They did not call, so we called them again two days later. They said they would call us back. They did not. We tried calling a third time again to no avail. Nothing. We want to work something out, but they do not return our calls (after promising twice they would). There are lots of options. Use someone else.

West Coast charged premium prices for poor-quality work and obvious corner-cutting. At the time, I didn't scrutinize the cost as closely since insurance was paying, but in hindsight the combination of overcharging and subpar workmanship is unacceptable--especially on a flood mitigation project. They installed LVP flooring throughout my home. Early on, their mistakes actually worked in my favor: they tore out the wrong tile and had to replace additional flooring at no cost to me. While this may have been partly due to Tactical Restoration's poor communication and lack of coordination, it still reflects a broader pattern of carelessness on the job. About two years after installation, the flooring began to cup and shift. I brought in multiple independent flooring contractors for repair estimates (around $1,500), and every one of them said the same thing--the floor was not installed correctly. There was inadequate expansion space, no transitions, and likely no vapor barrier, which is especially concerning given the flood-related nature of the work. Unfortunately, the issues surfaced just beyond the state's two-year warranty window, leaving me with no practical legal recourse. When I raised these concerns, I encountered deflection and avoidance rather than accountability. Tactical Restoration eventually acknowledged that corners had been cut, but claimed the steps they skipped were not "legally required" at the time. Regardless, manufacturer guidelines exist for a reason. I still tried to resolve the situation reasonably and asked for a fair quote to fix the problems and move on. The quote I received was $2,484--nearly $1,000 higher than every other contractor I consulted. Overall, the experience reflects poor workmanship, inflated pricing, and a lack of responsibility. I would not use West Coast Flooring again.

Is that a good old boy make work arrangement or even a conflict of interest? On a home that was built in 1995 they did new home type inspections with current building requirements and codes and what common sense would suggest normal lived in conditions. On another note it seems like a new hot button in the real estate industry to recommend underlayment replacement even though there have been no leaks and no insurance claims whatever. Is it possible that realtors are using this as a ploy to get the price down? A suggestions would be to separate health and wellness issues and cosmetic issues so you don't kill sales or just shift over to new builds inspections only.
