Hot/ cold cups and vases/candle illuminators

My sister and I happened upon this studio while on a short vacation. We were BLOWN AWAY by the incredible beauty of this porcelaine dishware art. We each bought something because it was so unique and we knew we would never find anything like it again. I am shopping their online store for Christmas gifts because these cups and vases will make perfect gifts for so many people. We met the artist/ owner while there and he was awesome and friendly and talkative and interesting. Do not miss this shop. Make sure to shop the online store as well. You will not be disappointed.

I've taken "intro to wheel" classes multiple times at a couple locations. I think Tommy spent the absolute longest time on centering that I've ever had! I was bored during the class because of that, but then when we finally got to shaping the pottery, it was AMAZING what a difference that makes! Also other details that Tommy shared that I didn't know-- needing the clay to be dry at some point so that it doesn't fall apart, instead of constantly needing to wet it like we did at the beginning-- got me to create in my experience the best little bowl I've ever made ;_; I'm so excited for what it'll look like once it's given back to us in a couple more weeks! The parking was pretty easy, it's right next to a bunch of neighborhood streets that have free street parking, even if the spaces in front are few. :)

I never used one before so I guess I was truly clay curious. Overall it was a lot of fun learning techniques and to make my own bowl. It didn't turn out exactly as I envisioned but I'll see what the final product will be! They have many other classes available online. They also sell pottery in the shop. It's really amazing to see other's work after doing the class and understanding how much work goes into making something.

I went out of my way to check out Seattle Interiors on Saturday- the Saturday after Black Friday. They were closed for the holiday! So, that was a complication, but I could see into their lovely showroom through the windows and I could see they had the faucets I wanted. So, I called just to check and boy was I glad I did- their price for the faucets was almost $200 less (each) than at Aurora Plumbing! I had some email back and forth sorting out the finish details and Mike was super helpful and pleasant, despite some stress on my part. They look like they've got a lovely selection of interesting designers. I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to browse the showroom.

We visited Seattle Interiors based on a recommendation from our architect. They did carry many of…read morethe items that we were interested in and were able to order ones that they did not have in stock. That said, there were several problems afterwards: * items that were told had not yet been delivered were cancelled, and we confirmed this with staff. We were then told afterwards that we would need to pay a restocking fee in addition to shipping back to the distributor. I asked to know the amount to help decide whether I should try to sell privately, though our phone call was ignored and we were charged said fees. * we were told that we would be charged as items arrived over several weeks. Instead we got a single surprise $10K+ charge on the credit card, and most things still have not yet arrived. The staff still has not yet answered emails or returned calls with our questions about this transaction. * the amount that was charged to our credit card was several hundred dollars more than the receipt. We still do not understand why this happened and whether or not it will be corrected. I can't say that I wouldn't go back, but I would go in understanding I would need to manage them very closely. They were not customer focused, though did have better overall prices for items that we ordered.
