I bought a smoky quartz ring from Nature's Twist at the market last Friday. It's stunning and every time i see it, i love it more and more. Everything about this experience was positive. The gal who makes the jewelry was sweet, very real, and super helpful and knowledgable. I didn't feel pressured, but really enjoyed my conversation with her. Overall, it was kind of a crappy day, but this purchase really improved it! I highly recommend stopping by and chatting and picking out something unique for yourself. A group of our friends gathered for brunch near the market, and decided to brave the rain and saunter on in, no fear of tourists or flying objects. We stopped at many booths that morning and afternoon, and "Nature's Twist" was one of them. I appreciate the hard work it takes to twist wire and swarovskis into "art", as I do it as small gifts for others. Their tree shaped dream-catcher-ish objects appealed to our inner ravens so we looked through the items, chattering about coatings on beads. Suddenly, we were stopped by a rude tone and condescending comments from a female behind the table. We were speaking among ourselves, and not saying anything negative, just bead admiration - however she felt compelled to chime right in with her opinions on how we were wrong. At first my friend giggled with her, as we all thought she was joking around...but then we caught the crazy gleam in her eye like "challenge me". yuk-o-la. I can't imagine they make much with that kind of service, or gaudy copper wares for that matter. As a vendor in Pike Place, I would try to be kind. Perhaps pause and think about your bottom line before butting into a convo with attitude? You are SELLING yourself in a way, no? Lucky we were all still on a hollandaise high, we just wandered away to find nicer peeps to take our cash. It ended up being a treasure finding day, and no one else in the vendor area that day was as acidic. I'd steer way clear of the twisted nature of this booth. Update to note: I received a threat of slander suit from the owners over a year after this was posted, with a tone that was equal to the treatment we received that day. Hopefully they have since improved attitude and find kindness in their interactions as sellers, however, per her message, I would think not. read more

Whenever I go to Seattle, I make it a point to seek out the Nature's Twist booth at the Pike Market. Their Facebook page and web site are also worthy destinations. Considering the amount of work that goes into the design and making of this wonderful jewelry, there are bargains to be had. On my several trips to Seattle I haven't found anyone nicer and more accommodating than the gal behind booth. Her suggestions on where to dine and hear the best music in town are right on. I had a small wedding and didn't want all of the hullabaloo of all of my bride's people wearing the same clothing. My Nana gave me rocks that my great-grandfather had tumbled himself. I approached Megan to make those rocks into 4 necklaces and 2 pairs of cuff-links (I had a mixed gendered bride's group). These necklaces/cuff-links served as the link between myself and those I loved most. They will have these necklaces forever and think about how much I love them, and love my now husband. I first met Megan on a trip through the Market with my in laws who were visiting from England. It was the day of my wedding and my husband wanted to buy me something special for my wedding day. That was over three years ago. I met Megan the owner as a vendor in the market but she became my friend too. Her warm spirit and welcoming nature makes you want to interact with her. I read the other review the girl who was high on hollandaise wrote and find it hard to believe anyone at Natures Twist would act that way....I'm not saying it didn't but its so far from what I have experienced its difficult to imagine. Megan has even worked with me to make beautiful custom orders and has never once been anything but gracious and kind. And the pieces speak for themselves...they are well made well designed and aesthetically pleasing to the eye. On top of that they are made with real loving intention which you can immediately feel once around your neck. This is my absolute favorite stall in the Pikes Place Market!! An absolute must visit!! ALL of their pieces are absolutely stunning and so well made. No cheap tricks or short cut with their products. I had a look at Nature's Twist on my recent Seattle trip while at Pikes Market but my party was all hurrying along so I went too. I couldn't get the beauty of the pieces out of my mind so made a second trip down to the market to buy a piece of this gorgeous art. Unfortunately they were not at the market that day! After arriving home 2500 miles away, I still couldn't get the lovely necklaces off my mind. After searching online I was able to connect and get my piece, a labradorite oval. Helpful, accommodating, answered all my questions and promptly shipped my item. A truly wonderful experience! I will continue to follow online and on my next visit intend to connect in person for more goodies! read more
