I don't know if the waiting room has cameras. If so, have IT pull the film, starting at 1230. You will see a deranged, angry response by the receptionist. She screamed at that man. Screamed at him at the top of her lungs, like a banshee in front of everyone in the waiting room, including a preschool age child I was humiliated for the gentleman. Why did it take four hours for my refills and three days for him? Perhaps because he's from the Middle East? So can we add racism to the mix? She picked the wrong patient to do this in front of. I retired as the Nursing Director of a 17 site primary care organization. One thing she shrieked was "you can't just walk in here and expect to interrupt the nurses." I beg to differ. Patients needs always come first, not the staff. As an RN would have figured it out for him after a blameless apology. She needs to be terminated, nothing less. Receptionists are a dime a dozen. But established patients are your bread and butter and reputation. I am looking at reviews for a new pcp organization. We will no longer be patients unless this is resolved. I will also escalate this to every committee in your organization, starting with patient safety. The gentleman was no threat, but he could have had a weapon. She can lock herself in the treatment area, whilst the rest of us are sitting ducks. She behaved like she was having a mental health crisis. Please pull that tape. In all my years I have never seen anything like this in my life. I was traumatized by this and it's interfering with my recovery.

Easy to get to, easy to find parking, walked in and was greeted by a pleasant staff member who checked me in, and got me started on paperwork. After no time at all, maybe like 5 minutes, the nurse called me in, and checked my weight and blood pressure. Nurse Crystal was very pleasant, and also remembered that I had completed paperwork on the portal that stated my medications, so in turn didn't have to fill it out again. Dr. Desmond Ponder was very nice, respected what I had to say, and I felt listened to. He prescribed me a refill of thyroid medication and an allergy medication. Now, he did mention the gynocologist and how I am "due" for a pap, but he said whenever you are ready let me know. Didn't say this but i don't think i would ever be ready. Also to add, i did message on the portal beforehand about mentioning the gyno, and prefer it not mentioned at all due to a bad experience. (Yelpers- my first review if you want to look at it!) He also ordered a blood draw, and unfortunately it is fasting. a little meh because again, in the portal I said that i have felt faint during blood draws, and believe it would help to not fast. For me, nonfasting is a better option. Maybe next appointment i'll ask. Though I do understand since it is my first blood draw with this provider maybe he wants to get a baseline, then my wishes can be respected. To add, blood draws here are just whatever the doctor ordered, can do it when one wants to, for me, as long as I fast. Oh, and also no indication of having my records when i knew some of them were on the portal, I sent them over to another provider at CMC, shouldn't they automatically get transfered? Overall, and other than that, the doctor was very pleasant, and I felt respected and listened to. To add, after the visit, I have been upset because Dr. Ponder prescribed me levocetirizine , a allergy medication, that is taken at night- and in my case, I have been taking claritin (Store brought) during the day, and it is marketed as a non-drowsy medication; this was also in the portal as well, and should have been referenced to. Especially since claritin works well for me. maybe claritinex would be better for me. But with the allergy precriptions I am concerned about the drug interactions, especially with what I take for menstrual cramps. Maybe this is all a simple mistake, but patient preferences should be considered. I also already mentioned this in the feedback form, and the customer service email. Oh, and follow up results will be sent on the portal. Which is ideal for me. I'll also have an appointment in November, and look forward to seeing him then. Overall, Doctor was pleasant and his staff both reception and nurses were pleasant. Highly recommend here! Anything to make doctor visits less stressful!

When we hadn't heard anything we called them to check on it. They told us they hadn't gotten it. We then called Dr. Shore who ordered it and they resent it to them. Again they threw it away without telling anyone the situation. When we finally figured out what was happening and called Dr. Sherrell to schedule he can't get in until July. The whole thing is total negligence. They are risking my husbands life with it. Not a good experience by any means!

This doc could care less about people his bedside manner is trash and I caught him in a lie. My first appointment I had paperwork from dermatology with a diagnosis he was not familiar with. I was forced by ortho a year later to go back to him and he had the nerve to tell me he knows all about that diagnosis he HAS IT TOO and it means nothing and has no significance. Guess he forgot about our convo one year before, well I sure didn't. He has no integrity and is arrogant. Dr Lazar is truly the WORST doctor I have met in very long time and I am so grateful I am finally healthy and don't have to rely on people like this for help. Disgusting experience. Signed, RN x 22!years who knows the system and knows what's acceptable and what is not in healthcare. Beware, steer clear of this office.

Went for my 'New Patient Check Up' as they call it, where they went over my file, and met me. Now that they've seen me, I am able to use the walk-in hours if I need to. They seem friendly and they seem like a good practice. I did have a long wait time. But it appeared that they were taking in others who were in more need to be seen faster than I was. So even though I needed to wait what felt like forever, made me feel good to know if I needed to be seen very quickly then they would take care of my needs. My appointment was for 10am. They asked me to show up 20 mins early to fill out the new patient packet. So I got there at 9:40am, finished filling the forms out at 10. Got called into a room at 10:45. My doctor came into my room at 11:07. And I was out and leaving by 11:25, by the time she looked over my file from my previous physician and asked me additional questions she needed for the rest of my file. All in all it was a long visit, yes. But at least I have an office to go to now if I'm sick, since NO ONE in the Myrtle Beach area was taking in new patients.
