Tracy the admin coordinator was AMAZING! She fought so hard to get my person in but it's really important for folks to know if your person is on oxygen it's going to be almost impossible to get them into assisted living in RI as the assisted living license doesn't allow them to help with oxygen at all and that include portable machines and cpap/bipap so if your person tells the nurse doing the assessment they have trouble with the straps they are likely to fail as not being able to manage their own oxygen even though they've been keeping themselves alive for 2 years on oxygen! Price wise Blenheim was very reasonable for everything they provide. The staff all seemed to know the residents walking around and there were always people out and about. The rooms were good size and the bathrooms nice. No overhead lights so you'd need lamps.

She enjoys the bingo, crafts, singers that come to entertain and also the group that sings as a chorus. They have a lot of events and different yummy treats. There also is a condensed Catholic mass. The grounds are attractive and she enjoys seeing the bunnies and birds around the area and can take a walk around the grounds.

I am so grateful for the loving care that my father received here during the past four years. The staff is compassionate, attentive, and very quick to respond. They are friends with the residents and treat them as family. Others were not -- particularly one therapy assistant who hardly responded to my asking her to lower her voice and focus on therapy rather than her own histrionics. Additionally, the therapy room was devoid of much standard equipment The bathroom that was next to my bed was generally filthy with spilled urine that was not cleaned. I advise anyone who needs PT or OT treatment in a skilled care facility to seek other accommodations.

The big tree, lights, little details everywhere. While visiting, they had a horse and carriage come to pick up the residents for a ride around Newport. The smiles on their faces were enormous. Once everyone came inside, we were treated to hot chocolate and other goodies. They also had a wonderful program called "Elves for Elders", where residents make wish lists and people surprise them with gifts, it was just really thoughtful and added so much Christmas magic. It truly was a winter wonderland. Thank you Village House staff for everything you have done for my mother!

Another stalker was also on the property and walked by me as I came home at the same time; previous at RIPTA bus shelter around 3:00 pm today that I was at on Girard waiting for RIPTA bus, same one. When I left this day another one followed me on to the property, actually too numerous to count how many occurrences where they are on the property and are not visiting tenants or tenants. Luckily the owners have guests sign in policy on their own lease although ............... These incidences including cyber stalking and harassment on my cell while in my apartment have also increased since December; the same time I believe Affordable Housing Associates, owners, manager Mike Weiner, assistant manager Lori Simons, have been rumored to be trying to sell property.

We have had Home Instead watch after our mother for several months now and generally speaking - it…read morehas been okay. One CNA in particular has been terrific when she is here. Home Instead apparently has issues when CNAs call in sick...etc. and apparently do not have ample staff to cover such events (surprising as this is their business). This has caused our family many issues due to last minute cancelations which is sort of ironic as we need to give 7 days notice for schedule changes but they can do it to us at the drop of a dime. What is VERY upsetting is that recently we gave notice that we would be making a change for our mother's care and gave 7 days notice. Yesterday we received a call telling us that the CNA scheduled could not come for the remaining several days and that there was no replacement either. Thanks for being professional Home Instead!!! Nothing like putting it to us / and our mother on the way out. I only hope that this review doesn't mysteriously disappear like some of the others I see out there. I would urge anyone looking for CNA services to ask a lot of questions and be prepared to jump in at the last minute and cover for the inevitable scheduling issues which we experienced far too often..... oh - and dont tell them your leaving until the last minute or they will leave you hanging!
