Besides the visual appeal Saint Elizabeth's excudes, because it is beautiful it's really the care that my mother in law receives that is beyond comprehension. We have worked with many staff members over the years and every one of them has been passionate about the work they do. We are completely confident that she is receiving the best care available. These pics are of just one of many events Saint Elizabeth's put on. There were so many decorated pumpkins to see and it was all due to the residents, staff and visitors who took the time to provide them. My mother in law has Alzheimer's so we live in the moment, and she had such a wonderful time going through the rows of pumpkins, it was such a wonderful time had by all.

We transferred my dad from another assisted living to St. Elizabeth's a little over a month ago. Every time I come here, the staff is always smiling & friendly, the place is clean, & my dad looks well cared for. Administration is very helpful as well & very prompt handling any concerns. My dad likes the food too, which is great! He barely ate at the last place because the food was terrible. The building is in the old side. Seems to be a bit of delay transitioning from heat to AC when the weather warms up, but I'm told this is common for most facilities. It's been maintained well, but the windows definitely need to be replaced. Besides that, my dad's only complaint so far is the room size, but he opted for the smaller room & it IS bigger that the room he had at the other place; larger ones are available. The have a lot of places for family to gather. They also have 2 kitchens the residents can use to cook/entertain, a small gym-like room, a chapel, snack area, 2 sunrooms, a salon, & lots of TVs if residents want to get out of their rooms. And other rooms that I know I'm forgetting. Very happy so far.

The big tree, lights, little details everywhere. While visiting, they had a horse and carriage come to pick up the residents for a ride around Newport. The smiles on their faces were enormous. Once everyone came inside, we were treated to hot chocolate and other goodies. They also had a wonderful program called "Elves for Elders", where residents make wish lists and people surprise them with gifts, it was just really thoughtful and added so much Christmas magic. It truly was a winter wonderland. Thank you Village House staff for everything you have done for my mother!

I am so grateful for the loving care that my father received here during the past four years. The staff is compassionate, attentive, and very quick to respond. They are friends with the residents and treat them as family. Others were not -- particularly one therapy assistant who hardly responded to my asking her to lower her voice and focus on therapy rather than her own histrionics. Additionally, the therapy room was devoid of much standard equipment The bathroom that was next to my bed was generally filthy with spilled urine that was not cleaned. I advise anyone who needs PT or OT treatment in a skilled care facility to seek other accommodations.

My rating is based solely on the research process as their nurse who does assessments was on…read morevacation and so they couldn't schedule an assessment for 2 weeks and we found somewhere else during that time. Forrest farm offers 2 care levels, 1 hour a week or 1 hour a day. That's very different from most of the other places we looked at. They also have private pay or subsidized options which is also very different from everywhere else we looked. The rooms were a good size and there were a lot of amenities especially for the more reasonable price point on their private pay side. This was honestly a high contender for us but we needed to move quickly and not being able to get an assessment done for 2 weeks just didn't work for us. It also concerned me that their nurse was gone for 2 weeks what did that mean for residents? After the tour I emailed the admin coordinator and didn't get a reply which was odd cause he had replied before. Not sure if I messed up his email.
