Gary V. is an awesome priest and is solid with the faith. His homilies are very good and always thought provoking. This loving parish also celebrates a lot of Filipino traditional (religious) festivals such as Simbang Gabi (novena before Christmas), and Marian ones also, with processions. They celebrate the Feast of San Lorenzo Ruiz (the first Filipino Saint) and Santo Niño too! If you can catch a celebration with a reception (a feast of food), you will not be disappointed. They oftentimes serve lechon (roast pig) and traditional Filipino foods.

It was my first experience in a church where people jumped up and clapped their hands to the rhythm and the beat of the joyful music. Even the priest clapped. The priest was thoughtful in his homily and spoke very openly, and warmly to the congregation. Sunday at 1pm gets packed, so get there early to get a seat. :)

Not to mention recently, I was parked in the parking lot to do some studying, I study better looking at nature or outside than I do in a Library .I was approached by one of the "deacons" who refused to tell me his name. he told me he would call the police on me for sitting in the parking lot, he proceeded to tell me that there are cameras watching all around Making me out to be a criminal. I politely told him no problem I will leave and I left. I would never go to this church again, nor will my children nor will I recommend. There is nothing holy about this place in my opinion. They only want your money. Honestly, it's because of people like that " Deacon", as to why I stopped going to church. I praise God everyday with myself and my family. I stay away from those type of sprits.

My family use to have bible study at home but after joining SSBC is when we experience growth. Me and my husband couldn't teach our children everything about the bible and God but after joining SSBC we had a host of ministers and church leaders to help our children and our family to learn more about God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. My kids has come back and shared with me what they learned from our youth ministers and they not only learn but they walk in what they learned. Yes they sometimes make mistakes but that is why Jesus paid the price for our sins because we were born in sin and He made provisions for us when He gave his life on the cross for us for our sins. I had a good friend from work that loved me enough to invite me to SSBC, that's how it all began.
