Anyone who sees me in public immediately notices that there is probably no woman at home monitoring what I look like when I leave the house. My standard uniform for years has been blue jeans, black Harley T-shirts and cowboy boots, complete with spurs. Not exactly a fashion plate. Recently I have found myself needing to dress for success, so to speak. Went downtown to be fitted for a Brooks Bros suit, dusted off a few older outfits that amazingly still fit, picked up a few new dress shirts and I once again almost look like a professional again. I'm just not set up (or especially motivated) to perform domestic chores so I have had to go find myself a dry cleaner. It's been a loooong time. So I'm a regular at that little mall up in Forest Heights and thought I'd give these guys a try. So far, they have been great. Better than any wife, plus I don't have to listen to any nagging. I'm am obviously badly in need of someone to take care of me and these folks do a great job keeping me looking top shelf. They do a great job at reasonable prices and the turn-around is pretty quick since I gather they do all the work right there on site. Always polite, cheerful and helpful. No complaints at all! Completely ruined my pottery barn drapes. They shrunk my drapes by at least 6 inches. Completely unusable now. They did agree to pay me back 50% of the dry cleaning fee, but today I had to purchase new drapes from Pottery Barn for over $500 to replace these. I think a call to judge Judy is in order read more

These guys are the absolute best! I am so lucky to live nearby. I have had them do things from repair buttons, getting out pizza stains from my dress slacks, cleaning sensitive fabrics or suits...and has always been successful. The owners are such nice people. They are tucked into the Forrest Heights shopping center, next door to the Natural Market and shares a parking lot with Starbucks. Everything is laundered in house which allows for quicker delivery verses those places that send all the clothes into a big cleaning center. They are far more focused on making you happy than any other dry cleaner I have been to in Lake Oswego or downtown. They are extremely observant and consistently catch stains on my clothes without even having to mention it. If you live anywhere in this area, there really is no alternative. When I lived in Portland, I never had a problem with this place. The owners were always on top of everything and my clothes were taken care of with careful precision which very much exceeded my expectations. I've never experienced anything negative and trust them even with my silks. I think the person who commented in 2012 below is talking about Forest Cleaners down the road, not this place. Ask anyone that's come to Forest Heights Cleaners and I highly doubt that you'll hear anything negative about this place. read more

Lousy service. I had been going to Forest Cleaners for a while because it was just a block away from my house. I was satisfied, at best, with how my clothes came back. The true test of a dry cleaner, is really how they can respond when things don't go so perfect, and these guys failed. I returned a shirt that was recently laundered, but had a couple of stains on it. I am 100% certain these were not my doing. When I pointed this out, the proprietor did little but tell me that the stains could not have been the result of their work. I know what a good dry cleaner is, it's one that while not wanting to claim that they made a mistake, will take some accountability. Forest Cleaners is not one of them. I suggest that nobody frequent these guys, I simply feel they don't quite get it when it comes to trying to satisfy customers. I'll drive the extra 4 blocks from now on for my dry cleaning. read more

So I was a satisfied customer for 10+ years but two recent incidents left me very dissatisfied. One was a shirt that was returned with a label 'stain can't be removed'. It was very apparent that something had been ironed into the shirt as it was oily through all of the layers. My wife was able to take care of it and the shirt was as good as new. No big deal...it happens. About one month later, we dropped off a Pendleton blanket for dry cleaning. The blanket was returned lopsided and significantly smaller...a full twelve inches. When asked what happened, the owner said 'i'm not sure, talk to Pendleton', her husband said, 'we tried to stretch it' and he was then told to be quiet. It was apparent they knew they had gone something wrong. They refused to make it right. I did send the blanket to Pendleton, they detected soap and 'felting', a sign of laundering wool, but since we have bought so many pieces from them, they are replacing the blanket. Based on the reviews, it seems that when things go well, FH Cleaners are easy to deal with, when they don't, they don't take accountability. Too bad for them, they lost a $1500 per year customer over a blanket read more

I come here for my dry cleaning needs and more importantly, I come here to get my pants hemmed in. They do a great job on the dry cleaning and perfect job on the hemming. Fast and efficient, I haven't had any problems with the service I get here. The ladies here are mostly ESL speakers so they can be shy at times. read more
