Recently, I reserved a trailer for $1 with Trailersplus in Columbus, MN which is near Minneapolis,…read moreMN. The 5x10 enclosed black cargo trailer was for sale on their website for $4,299. Their website did not mention or advertise a shop fee, a laser fee, a reinforced coupler fee, a doc fee, and the customer service representatives were unable to tell me what the local tax was on a trailer in MN. I requested that the manager or a manager call me and I never received a phone call from any manager. Also, they are closed on Mondays so you can't do business with them that day. Very inconvenient. And they are by appointment only so that is inconvenient as well because a business should be available when the customer is available not the other way around. When you reserve a trailer, they only give you seven days to pick it up and the manager or no one from the store contacts you at all. Instead, they communicate with you via a blanket informal text which informs you of when to pick up your trailer and who will be there. I was on my way to Columbus, MN to pick up my trailer on the last day and got as far as Barnesville, MN from the middle of ND. I couldn't call them right away in the morning because they also do not open until 9:30 am! Very inconvenient for the customer and not very customer friendly. I finally was able to get another customer service representative on the phone, not someone from the actual store which would have been better, and she told me that with all of the above mentioned fees, the trailer was $5,134+! I asked her how we got from $4,299 to $5,134+? She proceeded to lie to me and tell me about all of the unnecessary fees that were not mentioned on their company website. She then proceeded to tell me that they could take parts off of the trailer in order to bring the cost down! I said what? The trailer is supposed to come as is for $4,299 and no parts are supposed to come off of it. She proceeded to attempt to "inform me" that the trailer allegedly had upgrades and those upgrades could be taken off. I told her to cancel my order and that I would not be showing up at 5 pm to pick up the trailer. I left my house that morning at 5 am in order to make my appointment at 5 pm in Columbus, MN. I spent time and gas money traveling as far as Barnesville, ND until they opened up at 9:30 am informing me of the total price of the trailer which I was attempting to do for approximately seven days! No manager would call me back and tell me the out the door price until I was practically half way to Minneapolis! Trailerplus is a crooked company that lies to its customers and I honestly have no idea how they make money and stay in business? I found another trailer from a different company for the same price as Trailersplus falsely advertised theirs, $4,299, except that this trailer is truly $4,299 and does not have all of these supposed upgrades added to it which then raises the price way beyond the advertised price! I will definitely not go back to Trailersplus and I do not recommend them to anyone who is attempting to buy a trailer. They wait until you are half way to them and then they tell you the out the door price which is way above and beyond what they advertise on their website. My recommendation is to buy a trailer elsewhere! Runnings has trailers and they are priced comparable to Trailersplus and they don't false advertise either. And you can get someone on the phone from the actual store with Runnings.

We were promised things from the staff and management, yet it seems that after we signed the paperwork they don't care about us or our problems. Problems being the sink has a leak (they are sending someone out June 1st - a month after delivery). It was delivered without our screen door (not sure if they are getting it to us because they don't know either). They told us they were going to deliver our trailer but those plans fell through the cracks until we went in and asked for answers. Now just have to wait see what our next problem is

I don't know if it's a camper world issue all together or just Forest lake but we bought a brand new 2025 travel trailer (spending thousands of dollars) They refused to give us the water hose or the dark water hose, they set an appointment with us to come up there and pay/pick up the camper, we waited over a half hour for the finance lady to get to us as we watched her joking around with another sales rep While we sat and waited. I overpaid for the travel trailer because who I talked to on the phone didn't run the tabs/fees for the county we live in/store it in, it took camper world over a month to send me a check to refund what I overpaid plus I had to call them to inquire about it before they sent the check. We picked up the trailer and the sales rep acted like we were an inconvenience being there as other people were looking at campers and they litterally pull the trailer up, give you the keys and told us we could look on YouTube how the camper works because we didn't pay the 1500 or 2400 dollar "package" they offer. They didn't even inquire if I felt comfortable hooking the camper up to my truck. I had no issues as I have experience pulling trailers however my wife brought up how tacky it was and how if someone didn't know how to hook it up properly it could be a huge safety issue. we Will never make another purchase from camper world Forest lake again.
