Tricia as a manager needs to take a class on customer service, I brought my truck in for some wheel bearing work, they took off my lug nuts and stripped em. I politely asked her if I'm able to take them off when need be, she got all super defensive about it and told me that I stripped them. Lol.....we exchanged words and then asked if I'm not able to get my lug nuts off will they take em off for me. Tricia and the mechanic Bill said once I leave the parking lot I'm on my own. Tricia is the worse manager I've ever seen in the history of an auto shop. Who calls their customer names? She called me a dumbass and so on, in exchange she got an ear full from me as well. Even the other customers said I wasn't in the wrong and AutoMax broke their engine by doing some work and not putting any oil in it. AutoMax is has the worse customer service ever...if anyone needs work done I recommend Vidal Auto Services across the street from them. I had a front end alignment done there and within 2 years my brand new tires were destroyed. I called and spoke with Bill about how often I should need a front end alignment. He said never. That typically you get an alignment once and done. I then explained my situation about how I had an alignment there and now the radials are popping h out of my tires and that I brought it to another place who told me there's no way this was ever aligned. Bill immediately started laughing and said he's done with the convo and hung up. I called back and again was hung up on. Stay as far away from this place as you can. If I'd had listened to others that told me to stay away from this place I wouldn't be spending $400 on new tires and another front end alignment. Update: I spoke with the owner Tricia today. I explained to her how unprofessional Bill was when I had called there. And even when I had called back asking for the owner he had hung up on me. Her response was "everyone has a bad day and that there are others ways to find out who the owner is through public records rather than call back and ask an assistant manager who the owner is". So now I understand the unprofessional behavior. Comes from the top down. In my experience when you deal with people who don't care, quality suffers as well. I had a loud muffler and brought it in to Auto Max. They immediately took my car and conducted their free inspection. They brought me into look under my car. They showed me several things they id as issues. There were several. Like most people, I had no idea what was the leading cause, but told them to quote me out 2 different options. They did that in less than one minute. Basically, I had them replace my entire muffler and pipes, seeing my car is 14 years old. The cost was aprox $700. I have no idea if this was a rip off or a bargain (feel free to let me know if I was), but they did give me aprox 20% off and a 2 year warranty. My car now sounds as it did back several years ago. The service was good, but their speed was amazing. They changed it in less than an hour. I also asked them to fill up my tires and they agreed at no cost. That's pretty nice. read more

First of all, let me say I know next to nothing about car repair. Luckily, I can usually tell when something is wrong and get it fixed before I die in a firey explosion of broken car parts, and I have continuously been bringing car to Auto Max for my repair needs. I had the muffler replaced and it was the cheapest price I found. A couple months later I hit a bump that jarred the pipe loose and brought it in, they hoisted the car and fixed it for free in 15 minutes flat. I've also had the brakes done a couple times there, they are fast and frugal. Its nice to get service with a smile and also have each step of the repair process explained before they start. Also, they will bring you into the garage and actually show you the broken parts, which is also nice. My parents get their cars serviced here as well and they've had good experiences as well. read more

This is a very bad, actually the worst, place and they are not honest at all. PLEASE DO NOT GO! AVOID IT IF YOU Can! You will thank me later! Their service quality is very very poor too. Below is my real experience. The old man working there told me the estimate of a brake work is $25, a few minutes later the lady in the front desk said the estimate is $30. They also lied to you over the phone to hook you up and said the pads replacement is $99 but Hide the $30 estimate fee intentionally! And I end up to pay for over $800 on the work because they did a lot of unnecessary extra work and try to make money from you! They said pads is life warranty, but did not tell you the truth: just hook you up and then you end up paying much more! They can cheat me once but never twice! read more

Great job on muffler and struts. You cant beat the price. Got some rust on my rotors on my volvo that doesnt happen with dealer parts but the price was great and quality fine. I guess I can deal with a little visual rust for saving me over 50% from the dealer. They are honest. read more

I recently moved and found out I needed new wheel bearings. I called a shop across the street from where I moved and they told me it would cost $371. parts and labor. I called Tricia and she said she wasn't sure exactly what I needed and to bring it by. i took it in a couple of days later and she was able to fix it in an hour for a grand total of $112.14. I might have to make the 20 mile drive back to the old neighborhood for my mechanical needs after all. read more

I absolutely love these guys!! No appointment necessary - it's first come first which is awesome & very much appreciated! They are always 100% honest about what actually needs to be fixed & the work done is completely sound with no further issues. If you ask them they will also make a list for you of needed repairs complete with total cost which is extremely helpful to keep track of what needs to be done. They won't try to "pull one over on you" with unnecessary repairs plus their prices are not only phenomenal with no "hidden" or "surprise" charges/fees but also the prices for any repairs are the best I've found in the entire Metro area! The woman manager was extremely rude, told me to leave after I asked her to verify what was being done to my car ... Was about to take my car apart... Baited and switched by telling me to come and have them check my brakes.. then told me over the phone that you could pay per axle, but when I get there suddenly it's $25 just to take a look, if I don't buy brakes, with a two axle minimum. It looks like she was about to take my car apart and damage it and add higher fees. read more

Completely horrible customer service. I had my car serviced and paid quite a pretty penny. Within one week my car was giving issues. I called to find out if I could bring the car back in since it seemed to be giving problems. Trisha the owner was so defensive and quite rude. As soon as I explained to her the issues I noticed in my car she told me with a bad attitude "back it up one second" and explained how my findings were not valid. She also then accused my husband who picked up the car after we had it serviced that he was looking for issues to find because when picked up the car he asked a question on something he noticed with the accelerator. I have never had such disrespect from a service business. I paid for my car to be fixed and if I or anyone has concerns we should have the ability to follow up or bring the car in to get a better understanding which is what I asked. Trisha has no problem telling me prior to service that I have a year warranty or up to 12,000 miles. That's a lie. It's been two weeks and she didn't even bother to address my concerns. The same thing happened to a friend who took her car there for services and the only reason I went back this last time is because my entire family has been going there for years. I don't know what has happened to the customer service since our start of working with Automax and especially of Trisha but they will no longer get my money or family money again. Just came from changing the light bulb on my 2014 Chevrolet impala at this shop. Boy did I get the most terrible customer service ever. The woman in the front office was so rude it was unbelievable. She took my car in and came back that it cost $189.00 plus tax to change the bulb and it would take 1 1/2 hour to complete. I agree and within about 15 minutes she came back and said it was done. But she said "this will cost you $264.00 the next time". When I attempted to get clarity, she went off and started shooting at me. They ripped me off hence the rude defense. I was so appalled by her attitude that I told her "just take my credit card and let get out of here". I said what a great "customer service" and added that i did not deserve that kind of attitude. I brought my car in to get a muffler and was told I would need to wait an hour before they could get to it and another hour after it was in the shop. I had called in a few days earlier and was told It would be in and out in an hour and the quote was half of what the woman at the counter told me. When I mentioned the price difference the woman told me that I must have called some other place because she was the only one that answered the phones there. In fact, she insisted on it implying that I was a liar. I had called the number on the reciept and spoke to a man, not a woman. I can understand that it may take a while to get my cat in but for her to treat a customer with such disrespect is unacceptable. She actually said "I got to go" and "I don't know if you're trying to waste my time or what" when I asked questions about the service. Perhaps she didn't want to do the work because I had a warranty on the muffler or maybe she was just having a bad day but she shouldn't have treated a customer that way. My granddaughter's 2008 Altima needed work. My regular mechanic said drop by and I'll take a look see but can't get you in until "sometime next week". Well, that wasn't going to work, so on a Yelper's advice I called Auto Max where the boss, Tricia, said come on in. It's first come first served -- no reservations required. Great! She got an experienced mechanic right on it and rightly diagnosed the need for new duel mufflers, front pads and rotor and the replacement of a growling front wheel bearing. Time estimate, about three hours. Feeling a little stranded, she offered me a loner so I could get back home. Nice. The work was completed on schedule and the extensive service they performed came in at a total price that was remarkably fair and within my budget. My granddaughter was delighted that her cherished first car was back in running order so she could get to her new job following graduation from high school. And grandpa is very pleased too! I found my regular mechanic from a review that started with the words "Jaw-droppingly honest" and have gone to them exclusively for years. When I called this morning, they told me they don't do mufflers and recommended Auto Max. I dragged my heels saying that I trusted THEM to tell me if something could be fixed rather than replaced, etc., and they told me THEY trust Auto Max. Boy howdy. I called, and Tricia said to come in anytime before 7 p.m. and assured me they have parts on hand. I went straight in and--right to the point--they put the car on the lift, showed me what was wrong, offered options that would save me money (it's my kid's old beater car), pointed out repairs that will be coming up but didn't need to be done today, and showed me the worn-out part they removed without my having to ask. All that for about a third of what the Internet told me the repair 'could' cost. I think the "jaw-droppingly honest" club has another member. read more

DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY WITH THIS COMPANY. The customer service that I received from this company is the worst that I have ever seen both the owner TRISH and the mechanic BILL are rude and defensive especially the OWNER TRISH. I was quoted a price for a diagnostic test of $35 but after I advised them that I would NOT be needing their service Bill the mechanic tried to charge me $45 and while I was there I overheard TRISH quote someone over the phone $25 when I addressed the difference in pricing I was told by TRISH that I was quoted $35 because I was getting a discount and that the mechanic was unaware of that, which is simply not true I spoke to another person that had used this company and they were also charged $35. they are just charging people what ever they want to charge them. After I decided that I would not be using their services I asked them can I pay the $35 over the phone and Bill told me that they don't take payments over the phone, I advised him that I work during the day and would not be able to make it in until after hours and asked is there a place that I could leave the payment and then come back the next day to get have my car towed and he said sure just put it in our night box and we will get it in the morning, so I went over after hours (11 pm) and there was only one box outside and it was not locked so I decided not to leave cash in a unlocked box. I contacted TRISH the next day to advise her of the situation and what had happen and her answer was that he did not tell me that and that he would never tell anyone to put money in a box after hours stating that she has worked with BILL for years and he would never tell anyone that(basically calling me a liar) she was very aggressive and unprofessional. so I then asked Trish can I mail it in since I didn't have my car and she said NO someone needs to come in person to pay, which is ridiculous in this day and age.The mechanic gave me a quote of $500 to put in a starter which is almost double what other repair shops charge even the dealership does not charge that much so I advised him that I would be picking my car up. these people simply charge people what ever they want they are just making up prices as they go they are a couple of con artist and they are ripping people off. I would think twice before you use this company I have never in my life been talked to the way these people spoke to me I don't know how they are still in business the level of RUDNESS is unbelievable all they want is your money customer service is not their concern or their priority and its not hard to see where Bill gets his attitude from because the OWNER TRISH is even worst, they are very UNTRUSTWORTHY,DONT WASTE YOUR TIME. read more

was quoted as high as $950 at a different shop, all i needed replaced was two flex pipes on my exhaust, they jacked my car up right away and even let me come take a look at what was damaged before they did any work, 250!! thats wayyyy less then the other place quoted!! very open and up front with their customers! honest business, will definitely be back. Oh and they even gave me a car to run a few errands with while they were working on mine, keep in mind they are also fast, only took about an hr after they quoted me and hr and a half.! read more

Brought my car in because of loud muffler. Had a new muffler put in less than a hour. The guy was pretty quick with the work. Drove home to find that exhaust smell was getting into the car. Brought it back in to find out that gasket was leaking. The guy replace the gasket instantly with no charge. So far, the smell went away. Hopefully it's the end of visiting these guys. They are quick with their job performance but not sure if they take their time at it. read more

Very good experience. These guys are car guys who won't bullshit you. They will tell you what they will do, and how much it will cost, then proceed to do what they said they would do.
