I have been using Filip at Forestree for over 6 years. He has removed trees for me at 2 different houses. He has ground stumps for me. He saved my big ash tree in the front yard. Every year, twice a year I get a text and an email saying it is time for treatment. His prices are fair and he NEVER charges anything prior to coming out and doing the work. We've used Forestree twice now and couldn't be happier! They saved our three Hackberry trees from dying with just a feed and a trim when everyone else we called said we should cut them down. They were so good we called them again when we needed a spruce tree removed and they came and took it down the same week and at a fraction of the price anyone else who quoted us. They stole my deposit of $1800 and never finished removing the tree. They took down approximately 20% of the tree, broke my fence, broke my neighbors fence, and killed my grass with 4x10 pile of debris they left on my grass. They were supposed to remove 2 trees, took a deposit for the price of one of the trees and disappeared. People like Filip are the main reason people don't trust contractors. He is a scam artist and likes to steal money from single moms. Now I have to come up with the money again and $1800 is a lot of money. Don't ever, ever hire Forestree. We hired Filip to cut down a pretty big tree in our yard. Long story short, he showed up and cut half of it down and never showed back up. We had to hire someone else to finish the job. We cancelled payment on our credit card and he decided to take us to court. At court we decided to settle where we he would pay us back what we had payed. Do not under any circumstance hire these hucksters. Filip the huckster owner dropped a large log on my flagstone removing a tree, and has promised to replace it for 3 weeks with nothing done. He promised two free trees for my yard if I hired them to remove this tree, again, nothing happened in 3 weeks. Last night (07/09/18) he texted asking if tomorrow was good for the trees and to replace the flagstone. This after several promises to come out which ended in a no show. Now this morning he says "I was there yesterday and you were not home." Nothing but games! He promised last night to show up today. Then he now says he had a picture of the flagstone before he started the job (which he does not) and that he won't replace it because he now says it was already broken. He is a liar, a huckster, and a con artist just like the other reviews say. Now I have filed a court case to get them to finish plus damages and fees. His text thread is clear where he promised time and time again to fix the flagstone and now claims it was already broken. Every time a different excuse. Bottom line, he is a crook, and a liar and the worst businessman imaginable. He never had any intention of upholding his promises, and his word is meaningless. Do yourself a favor, and do not hire this "company." They will damage your property, and do nothing to rectify the issue. I saw Forestree cutting down a neighbors tree and asked them to give me a price. It was reasonables so they trimmed my trees and did a good job fast and neat. Then they tried to sell me on a maintenance plan. I declined. Now in the fall they called and offered to spray my trees again I declined by text then they kinda rudely wished me ill will and said goodbye. I don't usually complain about people but I referred FORESTREE to my neighbor and he acted rudely toward him in messages. I thought it might be my neighbors fault for the confrontation then after talking to them it became clear it was them. They just diagnosed my trees problem without even looking at them again and expected me to just accept that and have the work done I suggested that they come and talk to me so he said he was real busy and would have to charge me for a in person review it felt like a hustle so after I declined thats when he got politely rude. We have used Forestree for over 5 yrs for care and maintenance of our trees (including two "historical" trees planted at the end of the civil war) at our commercial property in Evergreen, and have been extremely satisfied with his professionalism, knowledge and reasonable prices. Additionally, we purchase about 4 - 6 cords of firewood annually for our residence, which they deliver and stack. The firewood has always been clean, seasoned, and they neatly stack the wood and clean the area when finished. read more

These guys were very professional. I initially thought they did a great job pruning all of my 8 trees. It was Fall and I pointed out the dead branches, which was the reason I contacted them to begin with. Filip promised a one year warranty on the work, committing to return when I called if there were any problems or if additional pruning was necessary. Well, the branches I needed pruned are still dead (very obviously dead) and I have been calling and texting for 3 months with NO response. He will not return any calls, will not text back, and is not keeping his commitment. I am fuming mad and will be glad to remove this negative review if he contacts me and takes care of the trees as promised. I am wondering if he fell out of a tree. First of all, I really am not sure why there are poor reviews with Filips company. He made a visit to my house to assess my dying tree, showed up on time, was extremely knowledgeable and I told him I was going to wait a while to take it down. Fast forward a few months, we came to a price and scope agreement and him and his coworker showed up on time (even a little early) and had my 60 year old silver maple cut down with no property damage considering the garage, power line, house and neighbors all close by. They cleaned up, left me the wood I requested and was finished within a half a day. As far as safety goes, he supplied insurance and wore the proper gear for such work. Communication was quite good via text and phone call considering he is the owner and arborist dangling from trees most of his day. I'd honestly recommend him to anyone and would like to help erase the tarnish on his yelp score that we all see at a first glance when hiring someone for an expensive job. read more

If I could I would give him a negative rating. He started out giving us an estimate to take out the top portion of our tree. 2 weeks later he sends me an email that the price just went up $1000. Because he has to rent a bucket truck. I told him if I wanted to rent a bucket truck for the job I could do it myself. He contacted me 3 weeks later lowering his price from the original estimate. We agreed. He came and did the work. We were very happy at this point. He gave us an estimate for spaying our trees for elm bugs. 3 months later he finally did it. The bugs came back with a vengeance . He stated when he sprayed that he guaranteed the work. Now it's 2 months later he sprayed again. Must have been diluted chemicals because the bugs are still here. He isn't answering calls or emails. PLEASE dont use these guys. He gives you lies and never shows. Now he is texting me constantly. Telling me he is charging me $250. For a consultation fee and will put a lien on my house. This guy is horrible. This is no way to treat seniors also a veteran. read more

Filip seemed like a great guy who loves trees. He told us it wasn't good to trim our Elm tree until Winter but he pestered my husband constantly through text to do it right away in August. He kept dropping his prices until my husband finally said Ok. We caved in to do it before we were ready to do so mostly because he seemed to really need the money. Some unexpected expenses came up and we asked him to cancel/postpone. He became volatile and cursed and threatened my husband through text calling us "despicable", swearing, really over the top stuff, threatening liens on our house... over a $500 job. We saved the texts, of course. We had hoped to have him do the work for us at a later time but there's absolutely no way I'd ever do business with someone like this. I will pay his "cancellation fee" penalty for caving in to his high pressure sales tactics of $100 gladly, LOL. Good riddance. He doesn't seem to realize that we wanted to postpone, and he nuked the bridge. I wish I had checked these Yelp reviews before having anything to do with him. First, let me say that I worked for an arborist years ago. I found Filip through his Craigslist post, sent him photos of two trees we wanted removed, and asked for a bid. His initial response came back at what I thought was a high price. Then he came by our house and replied with a more reasonable quote for the job. One of the trees was a very large dead trunk and branches and the other was a triple trunk diseased live tree. He showed up at the agreed upon date and time with two men. He reviewed the job with me and agreed to include trimming a smaller tree, taking a couple limbs from overhanging the house, and removing a small pile of brush at no additional cost. He had to leave before the job was finished and his crew were very safe, efficient, courteous, and professional. They cleaned up well after themselves. I will be using Forestree to do more work in the future. Filip is a knowledgeable professional arborist. He is NOT just a couple of guys with chainsaws and a truck. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. After receiving a quote from Filip, he constantly called me to follow up, and I mean constantly! After waiting a few weeks I decided to give this guy a shot after how persistent he had been. They came out and did the work but when it came time for me to pay, Filip couldn't provide a receipt. He came to pick up the payment and mentioned he would have my receipt the following day. Two weeks have gone by and no receipt. I've attempted to call Filip numerous times as well as text him but all my calls have gone unanswered. Oh to top it off, Filip and his crew left behind some trash which he also mentioned he would be back for but it still sitting in my yard. Not the way to do business. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS!!! Filip Paszkowski runs an experienced con operation. He was extremely responsive (at first), pushing me to setting a day to trim 4 large trees, grind 2 stumps, and plant a new tree. He and hired team completed 3 trees, then demanded full payment. After being paid in full, the job was never completed. His excuses got more and more interesting... didn't remember who I was, then he stump grinder was "in the shop" for weeks upon weeks. It's been 6 weeks since the job was supposed to be finished, and Filip remains at large, no longer responding. read more

A portion of the work has been left uncompleted for over 3 months. Owner refuses to complete the work, which I paid for in full, and has resorted to personal insults towards me. Filip did a fantastic job trimming some trees that needed it badly. He did the work when promised, and the trees look so nice. They can "breathe" and the sunlight can get to the inner parts. There was a huge, wet spring snow a few days after the work was done. The neighbors had lots of damage and broken limbs. My trees sustained no damage because they were properly trimmed. I am having Filip trim some junipers in my yard soon. He is very knowledgeable, and answered all my questions. read more
