Our 40 year old maple tree in the front yard needed removal. It had been dying for several years. A few years ago another tree service removed the large dead limbs, leaving other limbs precariously leaning over the sidewalk and street. I finally decided it really needed to be removed. He was very professional and thorough about how the work would be done, and gave me a very reasonable price. Scheduling the job was a breeze. When the day of the job arrived, thunderstorms were predicted for the afternoon (when they were to come) so they were able to adjust their schedule to come earlier in the day. This company does amazing work. They came out and gave by far the best quote I had received (best of 6 quotes) for tree removal and stump grinding. Communication was excellent via phone call and email. When the tree was cut down, we discussed potential risk to the fence. The HUGE pine tree was removed completely (chips and all) and hard cleaned within a few hours. There was the tiniest dent in the fence which was shown to me before they left. No big deal at all. Stump grinding will occur in a few days and I'm expecting just as good work! Highly highly recommend. read more

These guys did a great job. They were at my house in less than 15 minutes during a tree emergency in Lakewood. There was extremely high winds. They were able to take my tree down the next morning preventing further damage. They were very polite and professional and Did an amazing job taking down a forty foot pine tree. Having your trees trimmed is a real gamble. Monster really did a superb job. I asked them to come out and fix the work of another company. The team are real experts and know how to do professional work. The best thing was their pricing. It was really fair and competitive. That other company charged me the same as Monster but only did half the work. I had three trees that needed work. Two 60 year old trees, one a Silver Leaf Maple and the other a Cottonwood. They weren't afraid to get climbing and spend time in the trees. They made short work of it. They spent about 4 hours getting all the work done. They really did a great job keeping me informed and responding quickly to all my questions and concerns. After the work they cleaned everything up really nice and took great care to make sure they left my yard looking good. I definitely recommend them. read more

Everything went well with the estimate and scheduling until the day the crew was supposed to show up. The they didn't. No call, nothing. Took an entire day off and wasted 8 hours of PTO ready to let them into the yard. Contacted Mike (good luck trying to get a hold of anyone without pressing '1' if you are a new customer), who said the crew was 'Stuck in a dangerous tree'. The price was same as 2 other tree removal businesses (one of which I used twice) so they are fair on cost. Two people quickly removed a tree taller than my 2-story home in under 4 hours, almost touching the house, with no debris left at site, and no roof or home damage. I asked for certain pieces of wood depending on thickness (I showed diameter I wanted) and they left exactly what I asked, neatly piled in the spot I showed them. They did not need to use a cherry picker equipped truck (one of the other 2 services would only use a cherry picker equipped truck) and climbed the tree. I could not use a truck because that meant driving onto my neighbor's property. Using a neighbor's property is not an option for me because the neighbor has to sign a waiver, they will not hold Monster accountable (of course they could sue me) for damages to their property. Having moved to Denver 6 months ago, we are still trying to get our house and property in order. We have a wonderful apple tree in our front yard that had some fire blight spots and a neighbor's tree that overhung our chimney, porch and fence that had some wind and storm damage. We saw Monster tree at the Home and Garden show. Josh came to give us an estimate and came up with a game plan to selectively trim both and save them in the long run. The price was more than fair when compared to others and Josh seemed to be more knowledgeable than most. The team that actually came to do the work 2 weeks later was: prompt, communicated well with us, professional, gave overall safety a priority, outstanding and cleaned up well after themselves. All I request was some higher branches be cut back in 2 areas.. instead they didn't touch those areas at all and destroyed every single branch within the 8-10' of the ground on my largest and most beloved tree. Branches that have been used as shade for years are now forever destroyed. My tree looks awful. They told me they cut 'dead things off', those 'things' were branches and they were 100% alive because *I* trim the dead off the 1st 10 feet up twice a year myself. No one EVER said a word about cutting lower branches on the large tree because I would have said absolutely NOT, don't you dare. and the problem branches are STILL on the trees, untouched. read more
