Niagara-on-the-Lake is a all about the shopping, history and lake time (it's named for a reason!); and as far as shopping goes, Irish Design should be one of your stops. Beautiful store chalk full of Irish (no surprise there!) products, many made from beautiful Merino wool: socks, hats, blankets and the most beautiful, thick sweaters you've ever seen. Also, a large assortment of scarves, jewelry and all your Irish needs. Whether you're looking for a present for yourself or someone else, if you're willing to open your pocket book VERY wide, this might be just the stop for you. Like most of the stores directly on Queen Street (the main drag in Niagara-on-the-Lake), Irish Design has its prices set high. Although, they DO have a "sale" section and remember, everything is listed in Canadian dollars. They accept credit, cash and US currency and have a lovely tea room, which I did not visit, in the back of the store (bathrooms only available for tea room patrons, no public store washroom!) Irish Design is also located near the [shopping] end of Queen Street, right before the residential strip, couple shops over from King George Theater. The fitting rooms are big some include a full size mirror inside which makes it more convenient instead of having to come out. I had to try the different sizes of leggings as the material had changed over the years and from the last time I purchased them which was 5+ years ago. The girl that looked after the change rooms gave suggestions as to which size I should go with. She was very helpful. I ended up purchasing a few leggings for $40 each which was on sale.
