I did see lots of empty storefronts as well, which seems to be a sign of the time for malls these days. The mall was very clean, very modern/up-to-date with the décor and a offered a comfortable, safe shopping experience. If you're in the area and need a mall to shop at, this would be the place and they would probably have what you're seeking.

The only section full was the food court. Service was fast due to not so many people. There wasn't too many things I needed so it was a pretty fast tour of the place. Gap, Banana Republic, Puma, Nike, etc were there. Value was okay for Nike. That's like the only store that was packed with people. With the expansive exchange rate it's hard to buy things on the US side for Canadians.

Beautiful store chalk full of Irish (no surprise there!) products, many made from beautiful Merino wool: socks, hats, blankets and the most beautiful, thick sweaters you've ever seen. Also, a large assortment of scarves, jewelry and all your Irish needs. Whether you're looking for a present for yourself or someone else, if you're willing to open your pocket book VERY wide, this might be just the stop for you. Like most of the stores directly on Queen Street (the main drag in Niagara-on-the-Lake), Irish Design has its prices set high. Although, they DO have a "sale" section and remember, everything is listed in Canadian dollars. They accept credit, cash and US currency and have a lovely tea room, which I did not visit, in the back of the store (bathrooms only available for tea room patrons, no public store washroom!) Irish Design is also located near the [shopping] end of Queen Street, right before the residential strip, couple shops over from King George Theater. After looking at all the clothing, we decided on a tie dye tee shirt for each of us - bright colors for Husband and soft pastels for me. We didn't buy a bag, but we were tempted! It too was tie dye. Employees were friendly and accommodating. It was also cool inside, a plus for a 95° day!

I was fortunate to find a cute dress with full skirt and puff sleeves that was on sale for 40 percent off regular prices. They have a clean and spacious dressing room so that you can try pieces in before you buy. I recommend stopping in to peruse this shop if you're in the area.
