Unfortunately, today changed that. I made a last-minute appointment and called ahead to let them know I'd be a little late. Their policy is a 10-minute grace period, and I walked into the salon literally within the final 60 seconds of that window. They just kept repeating, "Well, it was 10 minutes, so we have to push your appointment," even though I was standing there within the stated grace period. At a certain point, I realized the conversation was going nowhere, so I stopped arguing and simply said I wouldn't be coming back--which is unfortunate, because I had been a consistent customer. And the cherry on top: they still charged me the cancellation fee. I completely understand having policies. I just think if your policy is 10 minutes, being there within those 10 minutes should count.

Life is meant to be LIVED! Since cancer in 2020, I have had neverending adjustments with my body and mind that I continue to have to accept and figure out. Nobody ever talks about the continued changes that your mind and body experience and endure AFTER the chemo, radiation, and surgery. I thought that it would all be "back to normal" afterwards....and yet here I am, almost 5 years since diagnosis, and I'm still adjusting. It's exhausting and annoying...and sad and hard. Being thrown into menopause well before my time and watching the changes that the continued cancer maintenance drugs cause has made me feel older than I'd like. My bones have deteriorated faster than normal, my hair is thin (and I LOVED my long thick hair!), my eye lashes and eye brows are thinner, I've gained weight, my hair is fully grey (which was super weird), my libido is non-existent, I am always tired and have no energy, my memory is awful and I STILL experience brain fog (super frustrating!). While watching myself change, I find myself avoiding mirrors. I dress frumpy and don't put on make-up unless I have to. I just kind of stopped trying. I used to love vacations because I could pamper myself, enjoy family time, let loose, and forget about things for a bit. Soon I'll be leaving for a vacation that we've had planned and purchased for two years now....to celebrate my 5th year out since diagnosis and our 25th wedding anniversary with my amazing husband! I don't want to be frumpy on this trip! I want to feel GOOD about myself while celebrating with my fam! Today, I made a choice to FORCE myself out of my comfort zone and do things to help me feel better. I booked a spray tan session, teeth whitening, and eye lash lift and tint sessions. I was terrified to be standing in my undergarments in front of a total stranger as she sprays all of my rolls and crevices. Before today, I have spent HOURS talking myself out of things out of fear of what others will think. But today, I pushed through the thoughts and just went with it. And you know what? I feel GREAT! Emily was THE SWEETEST, funniest, easiest person to work with and she made me feel completely comfortable and relaxed. She kept me giggling, even with that big plastic thingy in my mouth holding my lips open wide (dumbest I've ever looked in front of a total stranger). I will continue to try and make the best of who I am now and even have my next session in the books! Yes....its first world problems. But I wanted to share, in case anyone else is putting off living and embracing changes. Just go for it! And make sure you get someone like Emily to walk you through it...because I had a great time laughing at myself today AND...my smile looks radiant, my lashes are poppin, and my tan looks phenomenal, I must say! I feel like a million buck Emily and Hannah are TRUE professionals!

Upon arrival, I was surprised by the condition and overall appearance of the facility. For a business described as a "med spa," the environment did not reflect the level of professionalism or cleanliness one would expect. My appointment was scheduled for 11:45 AM; however, they were running behind. Before being taken to the treatment room, I was asked by Leore to sit through a presentation about their services and products. Only after this presentation was I escorted to the treatment room. I was also caught off guard to find that a male employee would be performing my facial. Due to personal past trauma involving men, I felt uncomfortable with this arrangement. When I expressed hesitation, the receptionist reassured me he was "the best" and encouraged me to proceed. During the facial, I observed several unprofessional behaviors, including the use of inappropriate language (cussing), an unprofessional appearance by the employee, and loud music that did not contribute to a relaxing atmosphere. After my appointment, I met Leore's wife, Mariola. I expressed uncertainty about purchasing their $1,750 package. She advised me to book another session for $225 and stated that if I later decided to purchase the package, the prepaid amount would be applied toward it. Based on this, I prepaid for an appointment scheduled on June 13. However, after conducting further research into the company, its services, products, and staff, I no longer felt comfortable continuing business with them. On June 1, I called to cancel my upcoming appointment and requested a refund. I spoke directly with Mariola, who told me she needed to consult with their management team--despite the fact that she and Leore appear to be the owners. During the conversation, her tone became short, and she stated she would return my call within 24 hours. Due to this experience, I have since filed a formal complaint against the business.

After a call for lawn mowing service by the owner Amy, we agreed on a price of 25$ for each mow weekly or as needed based on the growth of the grass, not weeds. preffered lawncare was doing it before and while mowing they would turf and not pick up trash and just cut it up into little pieces. I mowed her property 4 times in July, invoiced and no payment. Mowed two times in August, still no payment. Amy called about 6 weeks later about the second week of Sept stated I have only been out there 2 times in August and have not been back in Sept. I stated I have not been payed for any mowing as of today, Big revelation 6 weeks later that she cant decipher the address on the invoice to mail the check. Still as of today, no cash no check no voicemail or text message stating she had the funds, appears me being homeless and low funds is no matter to her after I felt bad for her when preferred lawncare came and mowed her lawn and chopped up the garbage and trash on her lawn into little pieces. At no fee I picked up the trash mowed the lawn sprayed the weeds under their sign and around the building on side and back. I get ghosted, I eat ramen noodles and pork&chicken hotdogs, Guess it wont be beef hotdogs this month since she cant pay the 150$ for the 6 cuts id done when I'm sure it was the best quality and cheapest price in town.
