I was looking for a couple of really soft bras with no wires, preferably cotton, and, of course, cute. And I found them. I don't need a whole lot of support nor do I like the push ups. I find that the big north American brand stores don't have a lot of selection and seldom have what I'm after. Another good thing about this store - and, in my opinion, this sets it apart from other lingerie boutiques - it is actually affordable. If you don't want to spend more than $50 on an undergarment, this is your place. Granted, they have some expensive stuff as well, but it's not all expensive. I give them 4 stars, not 5, because the selection they have is limited. I found another piece I quite liked, but they didn't have it in my size. So that happens.

Most recently, we needed a certain kind of bra for a special outfit. Each visit we were made to feel like we were interrupting the staff while they gabbed, and they were somehow doing us a favour. This last time, will indeed be the last time. We are not going to drop a couple of hundred dollars while the "cashier" acts as if someone is forcing a small turd up her nose. Nobody came over. I looked around and only saw 2 staff and 1 shopper. After a while I just walked in. Really the sign at the door could be clearer on the procedure on entering process. As I knew what I wanted, I zoomed in to the rack with capris pants. I still wanted to try it in case it felt different from my existing pair. At the fitting room, I was told which room to use. From the staff, I found out the rooms have to be sanitized first before customers can use. And the staff would be there to take items which were not wanted so they can be sanitized or left aside for a while I guess. Again, I do not think they track customers who just try on clothes (mostly cardigans or jackets) in the main shopping area from the rack. Do those need to be sanitized too? Anyway I guess with Covid-19, it's either wash the clothes before wearing or leave them aside for at a few days before wearing. At payment, besides the ubiquitous plexiglass installed, you will bag your own items here.

To my surprise, this pretty store in Port Moody had a wide selection, even in October. Nataliia had me try on many mastectomy and non-mastectomy pieces, and took her time to give me excellent advice. What to drew me to Change was all the positive things I kept reading for their various locations. Furthermore, people kept loving their low prices. Sold! This morning I headed over to their location at Park Royal North in West Vancouver. I cannot say enough good things about the experience I had. I was immediately welcomed, given suggestions about my size and a couple of things to try on. As I tried on the bras that the sales lady (who's name I now forget, I feel so bad!) recommended, she was incredibly attentive but not pushy. She helped me like a pro, weeding out bras until we found the right one that best fit my size and shape -- all while taking care of three other customers at the same time! It was an impressive, comfortable and relaxing experience. In the end, I walked out of there with two new bras that I absolutely love. I feel like a million bucks in them! And guess how much I paid? $65. These bras would have easily been $160 at some of the other places I've been to. It's safe to say that I am a definite fan of Change. Try it and you might be too. :)

She bases her designs after original 18th, 19th, and 20th century corsets, as well as creating originals. The store also sells garters, petticoats, corset covers, shoes, and other accessories. Wear a loose, light shirt when you visit, so the friendly and helpful staff can help you try something on and lace up. They can take your measurements and make a custom corset (starting at about $500) or you can do what I did and buy an off the rack model for about $225. Even though it wasn't custom, it does its job well and looks pretty too. I happen to be wearing it in my profile picture (underneath the clothes of course). Everyone should try it at least once. It's like a party in your waist, and all your sexy is invited. And there's no better place to do it in Vancouver.
